Your Durango sound is improving with each exhaust mod you are doing. Love the current sound at the moment. Going with an aftermarket intake will enhance it a bit as well. I just picked up my 2020 GT blacktop edition about a week ago. Doing the basic mods for now - tints, dashcam, DroneMobile remote monitoring. The exhaust is definitely on the list of to-do items. The current sound is not too shabby for an OEM 3.6L V6, but I desperately need to beef it up a notch. I'm thinking of just deleting the two mufflers and see how that goes for now. Your videos have been very helpful in the route I'm looking to go.

I removed the exhaust sound resonator near the front end of the exhaust. Made all the difference in the world. First thing folks would ask was how did I achieve the lovely low tone
Hello, and good day, I really enjoy your videos, i have a 2018 Durango GT V6 as well and dont care for the Borla S Type cat-back they offer and really like the tone the Pro XS mufflers have over the S Type mufflers. By removing the X pipe, you will make it sound more choppy and unbalanced and just make the note sound rowdy and tingy, a X pipe will allow for the gasses from one bank to scavenge behind the opposite bank, it will remove rasp and quieten it also. After watching this and comparing your tone and note with the S Type. The S Type is just too loud and has no deep tone behind it. The Pro XS is my choice for my 2018 but I'm gonna add 5" tips to fill the rear fascia better. This setup sounds good! You can also add a set of resonators after the X pipe to help deepen the tone further and remove some interior drone. Hope this helps. 🍻
The only way to significantly change the exhaust dynamics (other than what you have already done) is to change the heads and cam and compression (for more air flow). If you change the intake, you will get more intake noise but, the exhaust note will not change. How much HP/TQ do you thing you gained with the exhaust mods?
I completely agree...I do have the intake and not much has changed with the exhaust sound but overall aggressiveness has increased. If I had to guess I would say I've gained about 15-25HP
Add a k&n cold air intake and that will help too. I got a 2018 sxt with 1 pipe and it made it more aggressive. I just found out that the rear valance to the gt fits mine so I’ll be doing the same as you

X pipe only is definitely louder but with the Borlas you have a more refined sound. Sounds good both ways but from your comments it sounds like you might want to go back to no Borlas!

To add a deeper tone, you should actually put some bullet resonators. Yes it will be slightly quieter, but it gives you more tone control and should also reduce your interior resonance as well. Both a mid muffler and rear resonators on the vehicle stock, and that is to reduce your interior drone not just exterior volume. If you have some bullet resonators up front and some straight through core mufflers at the back, that is how you will get a recent level amount of sound under load while remaining nice to your neighbors under startup for the most part and while idling, and also a reasonable interior volume while cruising
That is a pretty beefy sound. Its a lot like the rasp of the quadrafoglio or the ghibli. You obviously don't have to spend mega cash to get a good sound 👍🏿
X pipe with resonated tips. I find that Borla and Flowmaster does no justice for the 3.6. I had super 44 put on, same day I took it off back. Air intake will definitely change the sound. I want a Durango can't decide wither the v6 or v8.

What size tubing are these? I'm trying to find the Borla mufflers in this vid but all the ones have diffrent tubing sizes. Idk which ones they are. Love the sound of the durango also, it's what I'm trying to go for on mine or something like this.

2.25" can work as well. I ordered mines straight from borla with the offset. It all depends on how u want your setup. The guys at your muffler shop should be able to make it work. I would love to hear what it sounds like with the straight pipe and borlas

I can a feel a slight performance improvement, exhaust feels like it more "open". As for mpg, the only reason it might be on a decline is because I floor it every chance I get because it sounds so good lol

2.5" tubing xpipe. Borlas were 2.5" as well. Originally durango pipes are 2.25"

A super 10 is gonna drone really, really bad, I would strongly recommend steering clear of one on a v6.

It was noticeable at first but now I've gotten use to it. If I'm driving in sports mode I don't get any drone
