Hey GA Family! Burning Question … Laura would you ever create a garden calendar 📆? You have the most beautiful scenery surrounding you and I would love to see your vision collected into a monthly/ yearly photograph through your eyes 🙏😊
Tell Benjamin "hi"! His waving at the camera is such a sweet and kind gesture. It makes me smile every time! The annuals are delightful. I planted some of that grass this year, and I really like it. That big sunflower reminds me of a wild flower that grows up every year with my rhododendrons. I've always called it Jerusalem Artichoke. It grows so tall and the yellow blooms are so pretty. The pond is beginning to look like its been there a while. It must be so great that the fish are getting use to all of you. So much fun. Thank you again for a wonderful time with you and the garden.
I had Jerusalem artichokes in my last garden and it was a total thug! You can actually eat the tubers. I’ve never tried them but some of the bougie restaurants around my area serve it.
@heatherw.2751 Yes, Jerusalem Artichoke is super high in ogliosacacharides, which feed bacteria in your gut, sometimes causing gas. They're very tasty with butter and garlic.
Oh I agree! Please tell sweet Benjamin we enjoy him. He’s one of those people that just exudes kindness. We are watching him grow up right before our eyes.
What a lovely video, Laura. The entire household is outdoors, including Russel and Douglas. The fish coming in closer is awesome. Beautiful landscaping! You might consider using some of your shots to create a calendar. That would be spectacular.
Everything is just gorgeous. I love seeing Russell hang out with you in videos again. He used to be very present back in the day. It's good to see him more. ❤
You should make a Japanese-inspired garden around your pond, you already have the aspects of it. Add some Black pines, Japanese maples, rhododendrons. Pieris, forest grass, hostas, ferns. moss....it would be gorgeous!
I always feel like we're besties and we're walking around the garden together ( not in a creepy way😂) totally love it when you get side tracked and show the things that are grabbing your heart!! Enjoy!!
Laura/Aaron/Garden Answer Team! Have you guys ever considered doing a Garden Answer book? Like pictures of your favorite flower bed layouts, favorite pot recipes you’ve done, even just your favorite views! Having different sections in the book for each season. Why stop there! You could even venture into a lawn section, recipe/drink section (that you’ve made using produce you’ve grown from your garden), outdoor/indoor/pond planting… It can be concentrated for each growing season per book, if that makes sense. I know I would buy it in a heartbeat!! I would love to just flip through the pages admiring your garden while brainstorming for mine!!!
I want to tell you that as an eastern oregonian I am very happy you are here.. so much of the information I find on you tube or even in magazines or television isnt any use to this hot dry summer climate.. you have been the best source of information for me... thank you so much
I love how the auger allows you to place the plants uniformly apart. When I use a shovel, the holes become irregularly shaped and the spaces are off. Thanks for the reminder, "You can't be at the pond by yourself." It's such a tempting place, but always needs supervision.
Do you ever stand in your garden and weep at how gorgeous it all is? I do just watching, I can’t imagine how it must feel to be so lucky to be doing something you love & making a living out of it. I’d have to pinch myself every day
I love watching the background as Laura moves through the garden, it’s just so beautiful! I wish I had the design talent she has! And her color combinations are spot on, it’s so inspiring 😍
Ich bin schon eine Zeit dabei und ich bin zunehmend interessiert was Du liebe Laura neues für mich hast ...Deine Video machen so viel Freude .Liebe Grüße Anja, Germany 😊
My goodness, the fish are coming right to you now for feeding! How wonderful. The pond is so beautiful now, and your sweet reminder to Benjamin about being alone there was so loving. Hi back at you Benjamin!! Even Russell likes his camera time...lol.
Love seeing the fish getting comfortable with you guys...so relaxing to watch them...and Russell stole the show ! A big shout out to Benjamin...his wave was just the best .
Hi Laura, I really love the videos of other people's gardens that you've shown in the past. Do you plan on doing more of these? Would love to see a before and after makeover. Thank you!
Laura my how you are transforming your space. If I could see the garden of Eden I think it would look much like your home. Thank you dear one for allowing us to participate in such a grand plan. It looks absolutely beautiful!
Planting is always a treat, where you place them and the area around them. Benjamin hanging his feet in the pond and glad 😊 you took him with you. Thank you for sharing your time in the garden.
A mini pergola with a cafe seating in the middle of the flower bed where you planted the 7 Veronica would make the most perfect hidden/unexpected spot to relax and enjoy the garden.
The gardens are so beautiful. I especially like the pond area, too, with the sound of water. Hi Benjamin from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. You remind me of my grandson... like you, he is kind and ve😊ry patient with his little sister. ❤ from Canada 🇨🇦
Everything is looking so beautiful! I love the time around the glorious pond! Add a child to the picture and it becomes perfection! Benjamin is such a dear kid!❤❤❤
❤❤❤ Love the cats visiting! And Benjamin’s wave hello! The walkway in beginning is so beautiful and peaceful! The pond is looking gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!! ❤❤❤
It’s beautiful I agree. I wish I could plant my beds out like that. But, I could never afford so many plants. Oh well, I’ll still watch but sometimes it’s depressing when all your videos are about how much you plant.
The empty space in your flower bed would be the perfect spot for a small gazebo. I enjoyed your comment about the creeper ice cream van. 🤣 Thanks for the video.
Absolutely beautiful 😊 the pond is looking so great!!! Russell is such a sweet kitty 😊 Benjamin is such a great kid. Magical world 🌎 you got there. So very blessed ❤ So happy for you and your channel 🩷
Those annuals look so beautiful, the color as well as the design; It is just perfect. So lovely. The pond is my favorite, I love it and all the beautiful plants around it make it so cozy and serene. Benjamen was so handsome waving into the camera. You have sweet kids. Have a blessed day everyone.
For some reason I just loved seeing you plant in the evening instead of the morning or midday! I’m guessing it’s because I always associate evenings with coolness and relaxation, both things that are sorely missing in summer!
The boxwoods going in capped of the area so nicely! The west side has always been my favorite for the structure of it but the Partier garden is quickly becoming a contender for that spot lol! Everything is looking fabulous!
Good morning from wet Bluffton, SC. Been raining constantly since yesterday morning, so it is nice to see the sunshine and wonderful gardens, even though they are not here. The fish really have grown.
HI BENJAMIN! I saw your sweet wave to the camera! You're such a handsome little man & I love it when you're so gentle with the kitties! Good to see you!🙋♀️
The prettiest thing in the garden in the little orange kitty -- love me some Russell!!! 🥰 Tannins are actually very good for your fish- they have natural antibacterial properties. Everything is looking amazing!
Hi Laura, I absolutely LOVE the 2 garden beds with the purple Japanese fountain grasses and the other annuals like superbena cobalt etc. Purple Japanese fountain grass is a go to annual for me as well. I also love love the formal parterre garden beds by the Hartley. The addition of boxwoods by the benches in the parterre garden, is absolute perfection. I LOVE it. Great job, Laura. Please let Proven Winners know that we need a proven winners nursery here in the GTA in Ontario, Canada.
My goodness what beautiful gardens! I wouldn’t want to leave that area either. The flowers are spectacular! I love it when the children are in the video and say hi. They are such delightful children and I enjoyed watching them playing and helping. Thank you for sharing! Love your videos!!❤
Love the garden vlog every day. It's so fun to see how things are filling in this time of year, and Russel was just the icing on the cake in the video!
So enjoy the grouping of all the beautiful plants and they look great together!😍 You sure have a green thumb!! The rocks and the stone paths set it off! Great job Laura!!😊
Laura. Don't know if you've ever been to the Huntington Garden in Pasadena CA... but when I watch you transform your flat dry space into an oasis of meandering stone paths with trees and green lush grass and a myriad of gorgeous plants... you are creating your own Laura Gardens that people will flock to in the future and admire and be encouraged to go home and create on a small scale. THANK YOU!!!!
Do you ever think about putting a swing or free standing hammock out in the garden..instead of just a bench? Benches are nice but a swing is so relaxing!!! My little one love to relax in our garden on a swing or our hammock
Always nice to see Russel following you around in the garden gives it such a peaceful atmosphere. The time of the day the light on the plants is beautiful and I'm sending a wave to Benjamin saying hi back.
I have truly missed seeing alot of Russell in the past few months videos……..my own kitty passed about two months ago, so I always look for Russell……the pond is stunning!
I'm dreaming of days when you do tours of the completed gardens when the fair is happening and the ice cream van does a route through your driveway while everyone is walking the paths and picnicking on the big lawn. Build it and they will come. I think its a great dream.
I really enjoyed your video this morning , that spot you were talking about looks so cozy and you’re right it is peaceful . The pond looks fantastic, and sweet Benjamin he’s adorable ! Love the fountain you put in yesterday by the way . Everything looks so peaceful ! ❤
I think a bench under the lilacs you will limb up is a great idea! Sitting under all that heady scent. You have so much space by the kids' play area, have you considered a buried trampoline, or perhaps one of those giant-sized lawn games, like Jenga, Chess, or Checkers?
Planting in the "Golden Hour" is so beautiful!♡ I love the sky during sunsets and it looks like you have a great view from all around your property. Our county fair was just last week and it always seems to be the hottest time of year.
I live near the fairgrounds too in my county, and I often am gardening the weekend of the fair and I can hear all the announcements and music and sounds of excitement too!
I have a super sketchy looking ice cream van that plays Christmas music in my neighborhood too! Hearing a xylophone-esque rendition of frosty the snow man randomly on an August even never stops being confusing.
Love the purple verbena and yellow petunias together. The tall shrubs by the benches in the hartley area. Gives it such a formal look. I love it. I love your fish are starting to eat out of your hand.
Beautiful, productive video. I loved seeing Russell's big mitten paws against the mulch. So satisfying to have the utility box moved & the 3 small shrubs put in place.
I remember when there was no other houses in the background bordering your gardens. It seems strange to see them now. But soon all your beautiful trees and arbs will hide them
Love the annuals..especially pink pestimons and plumbago. Ahhh...the sounds of life in a small town. Reminded me of growing up in a small town in the valley..although our ice cream truck didn't do Christmas 🤶 that's too funny!
More more encore I love watching you plant more flowers and filling in the garden. So glad they moved the water pipes so you can plant the 3 arbor in that spot…I’m with you I don’t like to wait get her done huh.
Hey GA Family! Burning Question … Laura would you ever create a garden calendar 📆? You have the most beautiful scenery surrounding you and I would love to see your vision collected into a monthly/ yearly photograph through your eyes 🙏😊
I would surely purchase that!
me too !!!!!
What a great idea. I would also purchase!
If Laura put in the calendar monthly gardening reminders. Oh’ my goodness, I would LOVE that calendar.😁
The calendar would need to include the kids and the cats!
Tell Benjamin "hi"! His waving at the camera is such a sweet and kind gesture. It makes me smile every time! The annuals are delightful. I planted some of that grass this year, and I really like it. I believe the false sunflower is Maximilian. I have it in my garden and it looks the same.

Such an important message sprinkled in there..."You can't be at the pond by yourself." 💙💙💙

@@julieseidel8258 right? We are not the only ones!!
wouldn't it be wo derful to hang out, in person, with Laura, Susan and Monica? ❤

This evening video in the gardens is spectacular. Everything has that special glow just before sunset. Love the pond and all the additional plants.

That’s so kind of you to say! My garden is pretty but not quite where I want it to be yet. I’m learning so much from Laura 😄

I’m glad you get the individual time with each of your kids. I didn’t get enough of that.
Benjamin’s look and wave at the camera was so sweet!!🥰❤️✨
I love that you have so much property that the kids can run around and not worry about being in someone else's yard.
Tell B-Man hello! I absolutely LOVE the parterre garden. That whole area is coming together so nicely.
Planting is always a treat, where you place them and the area around them. Benjamin hanging his feet in the pond and glad 😊 you took him with you. Thank you for sharing your time in the garden.

I recently watched one of your videos from eight years ago. Amazing to see the gardens evolve. Thank you for sharing.
Are you going to put any ground lightening in the south garden? Perhaps hi-lightening your gorgeous trees, the new bench or statues?
The evening light bathes the gardens in such a beautiful glow. It enhances the plantings in a softer way.
Everything is looking so beautiful! I love the time around the glorious pond! Add a child to the picture and it becomes perfection! Benjamin is such a dear kid!❤❤❤

Hey Laura! Love the annual combinations! So beautiful along with the grasses. Russell is just adorable!
My son was in marching band and the high school just south I can hear some mornings when they are practicing. Makes my heart flutter.

You had me 😆 with the sketch ice cream van commitment.
You gotta love Benjamin saying hello. He is so beautiful!
The walkway is so beautiful & peaceful. Such a gorgeous combination of flowers and stone.
Good morning! Love seeing you plant and seeing perspective in late evening. Such lovely time of day. Gives softer view of the surroundings 💗
Laura! You’ve made a tiny paradise for Russel and the rest of the cats 🤩😂 but really everything is looking so good!!
That annual walkway is my favorite combo and design you have ever done. Just perfect

Love the purple verbena and yellow petunias together. The tall shrubs by the benches in the hartley area. Gives it such a formal look. I love it. I love your fish are starting to eat out of your hand.
Good morning Garden Answer family! The garden looking so good!! The fish are really beginning to trust you. Such a sweet video today. Hugs from N.C..❤
I think Russell makes a wonderful garden accent!!! Beautifu garden!
Beautiful, productive video. I loved seeing Russell's big mitten paws against the mulch. So satisfying to have the utility box moved & the 3 small shrubs put in place.
Small towns are the best.......county fairs, ice cream trucks, football games....great sounds. Better than other noises that we wont mention. 🫢
I remember when there was no other houses in the background bordering your gardens.
It seems strange to see them now. But soon all your beautiful trees and arbs will hide them
The garden keeps getting better and better!!!!Love it alll!!🌸🌸
How fun Laura I am in California and we have the same thing a ice cream van playing Christmas music I think they all had a meeting.
Love the purple and pink annuals along your rock path!
Love the annuals..especially pink pestimons and plumbago. Ahhh...the sounds of life in a small town. Reminded me of growing up in a small town in the valley..although our ice cream truck didn't do Christmas 🤶 that's too funny!
Pond looking golden at twilight! Really magical
