So great to hear someone on UA-cam recognising GTPs need for horizontal space rather than height. Very similar husbandry as Panther Chameleons with the exception of portrait and landscape orientated vivs. Been subscribed about a month now and have to say (I'm sure you hear this often) your eyes are so mesmerizing. Sometimes I find myself looking at your eyes more than your reptiles.
I learned a lot from this video I have wanted a baby green tree python for several years now and I am going to purchase order one that year on Christmas Eve.
I am going to have a pet channel called "World of Reptiles" and I plan to be a herpetologist when I come fresh out of college. I have a beautiful one year old ball python and plan to get a female green tree python in a few years. I am very inspired by you so thank you with all respect. Thank you
Correction btw they aren't known for being aggressive, they are known for being defensive, they will not bother you if you leave them on their perch or if you just put your hands in the tank to change water etc. Aggressive gives them a bad wrap which they aren't deserving of.
Crazy to see her using her caudal luring when you popped the top of the enclosure. I’m assuming she’s got a pretty healthy feeding response when that top comes off.
my green tree python won't eat just got him 3 weeks ago from reptile store . basking 86F and Humidity between 70 to 80% he just shed 1 week ago .. any tips on trying to get him to eat thank you ...
Dude that python is gorges thanks for the tips on there care! I’m looking to get my first reptile as I only keep invertebrates at the moment! But I’m getting a ball so yeah not as kool as your green tree but it’s a start lol
I’m getting a tree python (baby) and I was wondering if I’m able to use a larger enclosure for him as a baby? Because we have a lot of places for him to climb and hide ect.
I really want a green tree python but they’re an advanced species, I’m more of mid level reptile owner but you think I could do everything right if could do it?
honestly you could probably do well even as a beginner. Just do your research, and setup the enclosure beforehand so you know everything care wise is okay. As long as humidity and temps are right, you can figure everything else out later. The important thing is that your snake can survive.

In the future I highly recommend use radiant heat panel as heating resource. Beautiful snake!
It woudl be super rad if they would stay that red/yellow-ish but their green adult colors are great, too
actual ARK
I honestly prefer their green color that they get as they age. It's my favorite shade of green. Stunning colors at any age tho. :)
