January 10th, 2017 Dear Allen Ginsberg, wherever you are - thank you. Perfect timing. I'm facing a scary ordeal & worried. What you said "...tell the truth." & that's exactly what I'm going to do & my fears are pretty much gone...
I do tell the truth but has to go hand in hand with others around you doing likewise In my experience rarely happens like ppl are afraid of it sadly Truth and Peace what great duo that would be!
Trungpa evidently channeled that precognitive vision. Remember Kerouac was a heavy drinker, yet functional.. So was Alan Watts, who I understand was almost always in various stages of inebriation, yet he was extraordinarily lucid in the course of his extensive talks. So, alcoholism doesn't have to be categorized as antithetical to philosophical insight and its effective communication; it really depends on the individual's ability to handle it..
frank xaidam The same can be said for many vices. Burroughs with heroin (though I certainly am not saying heroin is permissible or okay), Ginsberg and many others with LSD, countless other writers with amphetamines, the list goes on.
@@bigbeefscorcho .. I quite agree! On the others hand, they can in fact be incredibly effective catalysts for creativity and also for, as Alan once wrote, "The message is: widen the area of consciousness."
he is obviously concerned about being called racist even though makes two negative comments on indigenous people re: alcohol and powwow. he has that cowboy edge like hs thompson. like those who dissect russell means. and those who are hypersenstive to black slang.
