Eternity is the embodiment of the physical universe. He is all the stuff in the universe. The Watchers are no where near #2. The "aspects" sit well above the Watchers, so does Galactus.
It's crazy to look at how far the channel has come. Don't get me wrong even the 6+ year old stuff is still really really good, but damn it's gotten great. Great job dude. Really I love what you do.
Hypothesis: Much like the other Cosmic Entities, Galactus is a cosmic embodiment of the concept of Entropy, a blending of Death, Equality and Chaos. The worlds that he chooses to consume have always been seen to be chosen randomly; the "Earth X" idea that Galactus feeds on fetal versions of Celestials may or may not be valid in the main 616 timeline. Galactus also shows no favor, consuming planets inhabited by primitive civilizations or the hub planets of galactic empires (such as the Skrull homeworld). There is another Cosmic Entity that should be included here: the Pheonix Force, an embodiment of Death & Rebirth. Yes, the Pheonix destroys, as it did the D'bari system, but it is also a source of rebirth, such as the renewal of mutantkind on Earth 616. However, I imagine that the Pheonix, like Galactus, probably merits its own individual entry.
I don't see how you can talk about Eternity without talking about Infinity, Death, and Oblivion. What with Infinity representing all space while Eternity represents all time (they're two sides of the same coin), and Death and Oblivion also being two sides of the same coin that are opposite to Eternity and Infinity. Caleb Young Conceptually yes they're close, but Chronos is only one of a number of lesser representations of time. They're still very powerful, certainly on a cosmic scale, but they're generally depicted as lower in power than Infinity.
Galactus' purpose is much more of being a cosmic X factor. In an issue of silver surfer vol. 2 he met with Eternity and they discuss his role and basically Galactus is an alien element within the flow of the natural order, being the embodiment of the previous universe, and without him nothing can progress or evolve, everything would just be born and then die. Much like in Taoism with Ying and Yang being opposites yet united he's what unites Eternity and Death.
What about the High Evolutionary? could you do like a history of this character and explain more about his powers and is he a good guy or bad guy or both?
In one of the early issues of Silver Surfer, during a interaction between the Silver Surfer and the Stranger and eventually the Living Tribunal who joined the conversation, it was hinted that The Stranger was the 4th face of the Living Tribunal who at one point separated himself. The Stranger roams the universe collecting anything he finds interesting and stores them on planets he owns. The Stranger wields vast amounts of the Power Cosmic.
They should but it will be hard considering their powers. Even just references like the staff of the living tribunal or the watchers shown in guardians of the Galaxy 2 or just show them there without them using any power
My thoughts on story arcs and characters you should do: 1. Kree/Skrull war. 2. Secret Invasion 3. Darkhawk 4.Seige 5. House of M 6. X-men: Messiah Complex 7. Avengers vs. X-men 8.Fear Itself 9.Death of Captain America 10.Secret Wars 11.Infinity 12.Marvel Zombies 13.ShadowLand 14.Avengers Disassembled 15.Inferno
The individual at the bottom right with the yellow helmet shrouded in shadows is The One Above All. He is the leader of the celestials and creator of the Living Tribunal from what I've read.
No the TOAA is the God to the Multiverse not to be confused with the Leader of the Celestials even though their names are similar. Also as far as the leader creating Celestials it's never been explained or shown on panel. It's more than likely Brio or another Primordial God was responsible for the first creation of Celestials in the 616. In certain universes they are growing life in planets that when they mature become Celestials before Galactus eats them. Others they experiment on lower life forms like on Earth which gives rise to Omegas like Franklin Richards who has power on par with the rest of their race
Hes not The One Above All that is my creator. The celestial you speak of is One Above All and ppl get confused by this all the time.Eternity gave birth to the celestials which he is weaker then TLT. But he is a powerhouse though.
As someone who is new to the whole comic scene (some of the more recent Marvel movies made me start thinking about getting into the comics, mainly to see how vastly the two differ, and to see what I'm missing out on. I know the movies probably butcher the comic timelines and events, and I've been wondering what characters and stories I wasn't seeing), videos like this which break things down and explain the vastness of the Marvel universe (and the multiverse) are super helpful. :)
Subscribed! I remember having a discussion about the most powerful comic book characters and when I mentioned The One Above All to one of my friends who considers himself to be a Marvel expert, he was stumped and had absolutely no clue who he was. I felt smart lol.
Actually the stranger does have a backstory. He's the embodiment of his entire race. An entire planet that came together into 1 being. It's explained in a silver surfer issue. In fact the stranger was explained in quite a few comics including quasar.
The Stranger likely embodies creation and how anything great or small begins or enters existence at some point, even Eternity. The Stranger could possibly represent Stan Lee.
My opinion: 1)The One Above All 2)The Fulcrum 3)Heart of the Universe 4)The Beyonder 5)Molecule Man 6)The Living Tribunal 7)Akhenaten 8)Nemesis(Being Where the infinity gems came from) 9)Sise-Neg 10)The Alien Entity 11)Thanos (with infinity gauntlet) 12)The Ultimate Nullifier 13)Abraxas 14)Mad Jim Jaspers 15)Eternity/Infinity 16)Death 17Oblivion 18)The Many Angled Ones 19)The Celestials 20)The Goblin Force 21)The Phoenix Force 22)The Watcher 23)Cyttorax 24)Vishanti 25)Galactus
Vishanti should be above eternity. They stalemated shuma gorath and they didnt want to battle slorioth becauase the mystic energies wouldve destroyed the universe. Also, in the vishanti realm lies Master Order, Lord Chaos and the in-betweener, who are basically counterparts of Eternity, Death and Galactus.
The phoenix force should be waaaaay farther up. One single jean grey on her lonesome held a universe in her hand like she had a lollipop. And there were like millions more. Eternity/infinity is universal.... phoenix force is multiversal.
new sub and LOVING your vids.....im running through them all though i may not comment on all....keep up the great work.....depending on who you dont do i will give some names
I remember the Stranger first showed up in the Marvel Universe in a Hulk issue a long time ago in very late 60's and I don't remember anything else. the second time I scarcely remember he showed up in an Avengers issue where he constructed a device that could destroy the earth.
Yes! UA-cam needed this video! I read that Neil Gaiman run and it had so much promise... and then it just ended. And they never revisited it except a mention in X-Men. Had you not read that Eternals stuff, you'd scratch your head.
Beyonder can no longer be classified as a cosmic entity. Charles Xavier in The Illuminati reveals that Beyonder was originally an Inhuman. He's an extremely potent mix of Inhuman/Mutant. But he only reaches THAT level of power. Not into the Cosmic Entity territory. Retcons are an annoying thing.
Trivia note: Chronos, the Entity of Time, began its existence as an Eternal, one of the offshoots of humanity created by the Celestials. Thus, in a way, Chronos is something like a child of the Celestials.
The celestials have overpopulated & destroyed entire universes. The watchers observe planets where sleeping celestials or new celestials or their experiments are ongoing. Galactus serves to balance them by consuming planets. Big G also serves as a balance between life and death.
Okay, here's my two cents on the ranking High-End Multiversal Beings Jack Kirby: Known better as The One Above All. God of Marvel The Brother: Seen as the embodiment of Marvel Comics. Refers to the mech that appears in DC vs Marvel Living Tribunal: Guardian of the multiverse. Only beaten with a cheap plot device by Jim Starlin and whatever knocked him out on the Moon. So high above most beings that the Infinity Gauntlet was no threat. Living Tribunal's Three Heads-Necessity, Equity and Vengeance. Basically a multiverse-level version of the more familiar cosmic entites Med-End Multiversal Beings Multi-Eternity, Multi-Infinity ect...existence unconfirmed. Basically what the standard Entities are but applied to all universes Pre-Retcon Beyonder: Practically omnipotent, but doesn't have Unknown-End Multiversal Beings Abraxas. Anti-Eternity, Anti-Existence. Had a happy time slaughtering multiple Galactus(Galacti?) and was apparently part of the hodge-podge that became the multiverse. Or something. No-one should care, he's a non-recurring Anti-Monitor rip-off Low-End Multiversal Beings A number of Stephen Strange baddies. In order of power we've got the Many-Angled Ones, Dormammu and Mephisto just to begin Also a number of single individuals have reached this state, like Hyperstorm for example. Kang could be considered this to an extent, considering he's conquered a number of timelines High-End Universal Beings Infinity Gauntlet-Kind of obvious Eternity/Infinity-They are literally time and space itself. Beyond omnipotence, you can't really outrank them Death/Oblivion-The former is decay, the latter is absence Galactus-Devourer of worlds. Only hurt by the Ultimate Annihilator or some interdimensional threat. Usually when he's not well-fed Med-End Universe Beings Order, Chaos and the In-Betweener Mistress Love and Sire Hate and the High-End's spawn
I would have to disagree about Galactus and his form. I've read in certain story lines where he really has no form, but just appears as the image of the sentient race that beholds him. For example, if the Kree saw him, he would appears as a Kree. If a Dire Wraith saw him, he would look like a Dire Wraith.
Galactus can assume whatever form or shape he so desires even that of a star. However generally speaking various races tend to perceive Galactus as somewhat of a reflection of themselves.
The Pre Retcon Beyonder You're not even an entity. Especially not a cosmic entity. I mean, your people are the most powerful beings in Marvel history. Still got shitted on by Dr. Doom, and he took their power lol.
Rob Jefferson your telling of the complete cosmic structure named entities and the cosmology of Marvel and D/C is second to none. I know it would be an insane project, but have you considered a full pricing together of the Marvel and DC Universes as one true Piece of the omniverse. HOW THE source wall is the " so called veil of creation" is just curtain , so to speak.
I love this channel! Geez! I don't know who to request that you do next, gotta go to the vids. Man I thought I was a Marvel buff, but man, you've got me beat!
Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Cosmic entities who existed as men in our world but the creators of all in Marvel. Both are no longer here, but their work exists as forces of their cosmic power to create.
I think so little is known about the Stranger because he's a cosmic entity that represents something that has always and will always exist, just like all the others, and he happens to represent something all humans are weary of and have been trying to get rid of for about as long as intelligent life has existed, and that is the unknown.
I'm a little disappointed you didn't include Marvels Unicron into this video. When they had the license to do the comics they game him a rather intense backstory where he is one of about a dozen elder gods and one of the strongest among them, but while the others chose to ignore the Universe and the Chaos it could create Unicron took I upon himself to destroy it and as such entered the Unierse and began to consume it, of course there were parts left over one of which was the being who would later become Galactus when the remnants coalesced into the new Multiverse. Galactus was given pretty much control of the power of the universe so that he could protect it, however when Unicron woke back up, saw that he failed and why he had failed and began to be more thorough in his destruction this time Galactus was powerless to stop him. Only by creating a being that wields the full power of the Multiverse and exists in every universe at once was the Multiverse able to create something that could slow Unicron down. Primus of course got into it with unicron and of course wound up on the loosing side, that was when Primus tricked Unicron into imprisoning himself within an asteroid, the rest runs in line with the Hasbro past where they both learned how to change the asteroids into their new bodies and Primus created the cybertronians to fight Unicron and even gave them part of his essence so that they could kick him out of the universe currently under attack from him. Despite this though Unicron has consumed a large amount of the multiverse, over a quarter of it to be precise, which means he has encountered all of the beings you mentioned at one time or form or another and killed them, banished them, or caused them to run someplace else within the multiverse.
You also left out Ero. The green plant thing behind Captain Marvel. Who has been "eaten" be Galactus. The only recorded case of a cosmic entity killing/destroying another.
Please! A Jean Grey/Phoenix video! She, in my opinion, is the queen of the Marvel Universe, definitely the strongest mutant alive. Especially with her powers heightened by the Phoenix Force.
Life and Death were also left out. I noticed that the image being used for reference is a page from the infinity gauntlet, which explains why Death isn't present in this scene since she is with Thanos at this time. Were they just left out because they weren't on the page or because they are being covered elsewhere?
Loving your vids but the cosmic axis is the 4 below (I know stuff can be explained differently sometimes), Kronos is a lesser time entity. Eternity (Time) the opposite of Death (Things that end) Infinity (Space) the opposite of Oblivion (Nothingness)
I love your videos; I just wish that you would add clips and videos from older shows to better explain your comics and push it to a point at which it makes it more interesting and relate-able.
I was told and I also do believe that the Living Tribunal has a fourth face, it's just never seen because it's in the back of his front face and of course you got the 2 side faces as well.
I found an entry on the Stranger in the Marvel Wikia. Hopefully this will help illuminate his backstory (some of it, at least) "Stranger_(Cosmic_Being)_(Earth-616)" on Fandom: "Gigantian Uni-Mind By his own account, the Stranger was a composite being who possessed the combined strength and intellect of the billions of humanoid beings who once lived on the planet Gigantus, an ancient world in the Andromeda Galaxy whose size approached the limit at which a planet could exist before fissioning into a sun. Gigantus, the home of a highly advanced and pacifistic people, was the target of the imperialistic race of Eternals, who decided to destroy Gigantus when it proved too big to conquer. Before their world's destruction, however, a vast fleet of Gigantians escaped to retaliate against their attackers. After destroying Eyung, the Gigantians in some as yet unknown way melded their minds into a single being, apparently to one day combat the Eternals' similar composite entity, the Overmind. It is not yet known what the process of this merger entailed: whether the composite forms body was an artificial organic construct or one of the Gigantians’ bodies enhanced to be a suitable receptacle for his race’s mental and physical might. This being, later to become known as the Stranger, existed for some eons, engaged in the same pursuit of knowledge that had engaged his race. He later admitted (or claimed) that he in fact found that composite being, accidentally killed him, and vowed to fulfill his role, but that he still suspected he could be a Gigantian himself" marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Stranger_(Cosmic_Being)_(Earth-616)
The Stranger possesses the ability to channel and manipulate cosmic power on a scale comparable to that of Galactus and the Celestials, with feats including levitation; force field creation; size shifting and molecular manipulation of matter; light speed space travel; intangibility and energy projection and assembling a planet from segments of inhabited worlds from across the universe. The entity also possesses a "laboratory" world, where items are stored, and beings of interest, referred to as specimens, are kept prisoner for study.
Kinda hoping you'd go over more of the cosmic entities, not just the ones presented. Like Phoenix Force, Infinity, Goblin Force, the Horde, Cubic Beings, etc. There's a lot more cosmic beings than just these ones.
The Celestrials are not at the bottom. The Watchers are. They are slaves of The Celestrials. Uatu only intervened after the arrival of Galactus, because Galactus consumes planets and Celestrials are "birth" from them. The Cosmic Circle of Life
Actually, the watchers are not slaves of the celestials they are kind of their opposite. Celestials take action Watchers dont. Celestials are very powerful. Weak one's are Eon and Epoch.
I was hoping you would include Mistress Death in this video, with the cancerverse as an example why she is such a necessity to the universe. And the difference between Mistress Death and the afterlife lords such as the Hell lords like Mephisto or Helheirm's Hela, or Hades underworld.
Wasn't it the Hulk's second son's destiny for that too? He had a vision where Galactus was his herald as he traveled the universe obliterating Old Power.
Michael Lamar Simeon just cos he bought him back to life doesnt mean he is more powerful! Plus he has both bis and his younger version' powers. It was two Franklin powers in one body,
Ranking these guys is pretty hard since there seems to be countless ways one could destroy another. Despite being one of the only cosmic entities that has actually died in the mainstream continuity, Galactus's Ultimate Nullifier has the ability to destroy and recreate the entirety of the Marvel Multiverse. After entrusting the device to Reed Richards, the Ultimate Nullifier did just that, ending Abraxas's multiversal reign of terror and undoing absolutely all the damage he caused across countless universes. I'd say that everyone aside from The One Above All, The Living Tribunal (High Tier) Uatu, and the Celestials (Low Tier), are relatively close to being on the same level. I'm suprised that Death, Aegis, and Tenebrous didn't make it on the list, though I don't think the Proemial Gods were introduced during the time that illustration was created.
If you could would be possible to do a Sentry series? Basically his timeline as far as how he fights others all his powers how he dies and then is revived multiple times
I agree with your first three choices. After that its totally wrong. Even the Watchers said the Celestials were higher life forms in Quasar comics. Which means more powerful of course. The Stranger is linked to the Living Tribunal. He is said to be the 4th face of the Living Tribunal. What that means I have no idea. He is powerful but Spiderman sorta kinda beat him so yeah. Should be... 1: The One Above All 2: Eternity / Infinity 3: Death / Oblivion 4: Order / Lord Chaos 5: Celestials (They exist in all timelines and in every moment in time. They are the judges of how our reality is unfolding. If they judge a race or world would cause more harm than good to our reality, they simply destroy it.) 6: Other abstracts like The Stranger, Epoc, Kronos, Galactus & The Watchers that or immortal but can be killed. 7: Anything with a Cosmic Awareness like Adam Warlock, Thanos, Quasar, Capt. Marvel and so on. Read Adam Warlock Comics and Quasar along with Infinity Gauntlet, Wars and so on. Tells you everything you need to know. Adam Warlock is linked to Eternity and Adam is sort of Eternity's Avatar. The content of Marvels "Gods" are some of my fav. It all boils down to what comic your reading really. All of them can be more powerful than the other on any given day. Depends on what is needed. Like Superman whos creators have said he is as powerful as he needs to be. If I ever dig my old comics out again I list a few that are required reading.
It's interesting to hear your thoughts, and I agree on some things but to say that the Watchers are higher than the Celestials or Galactus I don't agree with. In Quasar 25 when the Watchers were at the point where Maelstrom was going to cause the universe to collapse in itself 1 Watcher stated "There are other nigh - omnipotent entities capable of such feats...entities whose scope of influence exists on higher planes than our own" and then said "if the most powerful faction of the Celestials is powerless to stop the end of existence woe unto us". Also in Marvel the End when Thanos had the power of the Heart of the Universe he blasted and destroyed a Celestial and Galactus stated "he actually destroyed a Celestial". Galactus is the balancing point between Eternity and Death and is among the most powerful beings. There's also Infinity and Oblivion that are on part with Eternity and Death in terms of authority and power. Kronos, the Watchers, Eon/Epoch, Love and Hate I think are among the weakest in power. The Stranger some think is the embodiment of the 4th head of the Living Tribunal which is an empty space and is vastly powerful but it hasn't been confirmed and that's all I've heard about him. The In-Betweener is basically like Galactus in that he's the balancing point between Order and Chaos and is as powerful as Galactus.
Rob I hope that you can do an episode on the beyonder nit just the secret wars volume 1 and 2 but also the aftermath and his supposed re - appearance. I think that would be cool
there is a missconception there. Eternity represents Space and all in it. He is kinda THE UNIVERSE, but not time or death, those are separated entities. With Oblivion they are the 4 basic aspects of reallity in all universes (Eternity, Infinite, Lady Death and Oblivion)
When Franklin achieves the conscious use of his full powers, he will have telepathic powers, tremendous telekinetic powers, the ability to fire enormously powerful energy blasts, and the ability to rearrange the molecular structure of matter and energy. His powers are so great that he has been able to create pocket universes, and his abilities have been described as equal to the Celestials.[30] As an adult, he was able to turn Galactus into his herald.[31] The child Franklin and Valeria combined proved powerful enough to capture and restore the very essence of Galactus, that was hidden in the heart of Eternity, effectively resurrecting him.[32] By combining the abilities of his present and future selves, he was able to empower and control a previously defeated Galactus to destroy two Celestials.[21] An adult version of Franklin was once described as "the great enemy of the omniversal order".[33]
Both Galactus and the Celestials Like "Lady" Death too are remnants of inhabitants from the previous membrane (universe). Whereas Death and Galactus appear equal in all of the storylines they have shared, Galactus FEARS the celestials, especially the one that was buried beneath the Earth! Also there are two main reasons given for Galactus's urge to deviour biolife energies, one is it is a side effect of the environmental conditions he was exposed to at the end of the last membrane, Another is that he is driven to "cleanse" the membrane of Worlds made coorupt by an ancient races manipulation of energy that seeps through the membranes super structure.
I often wonder why Death is not included in these line ups. She is the embodiment of her name, and because of her even celestial beings can die. She's a fundamental celestial force, so really she belongs in this lineup.
Stranger is just there so he doesn't get fined.
+TheLoneDraftsman Stranger sound like that ole dude who sleep on the couch and dont bother no one XD
Good video sir, but lots of abstracts and cosmic entities were not mentioned.. If we list down the most powerful beings on Marvel, I guess it would be something like..
Tier O: The One Above All - the one true God and supreme being in the Marvel Multiverse
Tier 1: The Living Tribunal - cosmic arbitrator and judge of the Marvel Multiverse
Tier 2: Nemesis, the Infinity Being - creator of Entire Marvel Multiverse when she ended her own life thus spawning countless realities; The White Phoenix of the Crown - the Phoenix Force in its entirety in its one true form who serves as the Guardian of Creation, she who sparks creation itself, promulgates life and evolution and decides when creation must meet destruction
Tier 3: Eternity, Death, Infinity and Oblivion - the cosmic compass which embodies all time, space, mortality and non-existence in the Multiverse
Tier 4: Master Order and Lord Chaos - personification of both concepts of order and chaos
Tier 5: Galactus - serves as balance for the four cosmic compass; In-Betweener - serves a the balance for concepts as order and chaos, God and Man; Mistress Love and Sire Hate; Chaos King - embodiment of reality before creation itself; High-End Celestials such as Arishem the Judge and The Dreaming Celestial
Tier 6: High-End Mystical entities such as The Vishanti, Shuma-Gorath and Chthon; Entropy; Abraxas

Kronos?
Oh shoot someone with sense
Love the break down!! On point with the cosmic scale. Great job. But there were just a hand full that was missing but if you had to name all of them, you page would have been much longer. Great job tho.
Not knowing anything about Stranger is exactly the point: The "Stranger" is suppose to be a stranger to us all.
I read somewhere The Stranger is (was) The possible 4th "face" of The Living Tribunal. Love this video though.
Eternity looks so so cool. I have been reading Dr.Strange starting from 1951 and going right through every comic he has appeared in since then and I have seen Eternity several times now.
"The Stranger" is when you sit on your hand until it is numb and flog the dolphin.
Crazy how far this channel got. Proud of you Rob, thank you for the hours of content.
I’m pretty sure that master order is rather the pure embodiment of all ocd in the universe
this was a year and a half ago... how did I go so long without knowing you existed. Thank you, you make a comic fan (who couldnt find a place close to sell him comics) ALOT of good. Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you so much. You fuckin rock!!!
this is just a theory, but maybe the stranger represents the mystery of the universe.
Now I want the Living Tribunal to show up in avengers 4 to judge Thanos and say something like "Damn it, not again"
Eternity is the embodiment of the physical universe. He is all the stuff in the universe. The Watchers are no where near #2. The "aspects" sit well above the Watchers, so does Galactus.
I wouldn't put Galactus in there, he almost shit his pants when he saw Franklin Richards
It's crazy to look at how far the channel has come. Don't get me wrong even the 6+ year old stuff is still really really good, but damn it's gotten great. Great job dude. Really I love what you do.

I completely agree esp infinity
Caleb Young
Conceptually yes they're close, but Chronos is only one of a number of lesser representations of time. They're still very powerful, certainly on a cosmic scale, but they're generally depicted as lower in power than Infinity.
Oblivon is stronger than the living tribunal
Galantis is like their lil brother
the one above all is Stan Lee and Fulcrum is Jack Kirby
No according to Stan Lee TOOA is god our god

My thoughts on story arcs and characters you should do:
1. Kree/Skrull war.

3. Darkhawk
4.Seige
5. House of M
6. X-men: Messiah Complex
7. Avengers vs. X-men

10.Secret Wars
11.Infinity
12.Marvel Zombies
13.ShadowLand
14.Avengers Disassembled
15.Inferno
Absolutely amazing summary of the cosmic beings. Keep it up man. I'm such a fan of your channel.
great video!!!, i love when people analize this "dark" side of marvel, its almost like an underground thing
Subscribed! I remember having a discussion about the most powerful comic book characters and when I mentioned The One Above All to one of my friends who considers himself to be a Marvel expert, he was stumped and had absolutely no clue who he was. I felt smart lol.
so awesome you did a video on the cosmic entities . you gave me alot of info I didnt know thanks keep up the great work! The One Above Allllll !
No
The One Above All represent Stan Lee
My opinion:
1)The One Above All
2)The Fulcrum
3)Heart of the Universe
4)The Beyonder
5)Molecule Man
6)The Living Tribunal
7)Akhenaten
8)Nemesis(Being Where the infinity gems came from)
9)Sise-Neg
10)The Alien Entity
11)Thanos (with infinity gauntlet)
12)The Ultimate Nullifier
13)Abraxas
14)Mad Jim Jaspers
15)Eternity/Infinity
16)Death
17Oblivion
18)The Many Angled Ones
19)The Celestials
20)The Goblin Force
21)The Phoenix Force
22)The Watcher
23)Cyttorax
24)Vishanti
25)Galactus
Vishanti should be above eternity. They stalemated shuma gorath and they didnt want to battle slorioth becauase the mystic energies wouldve destroyed the universe. Also, in the vishanti realm lies Master Order, Lord Chaos and the in-betweener, who are basically counterparts of Eternity, Death and Galactus.
And you're forgetting protege.
Oh yeah your absolutely right my bad.
The phoenix force should be waaaaay farther up. One single jean grey on her lonesome held a universe in her hand like she had a lollipop. And there were like millions more. Eternity/infinity is universal.... phoenix force is multiversal.
Phoenix Force is above Death and most of the other cosmic entities she's at least pushing Eternity/Infinity
Marvel Cosmic, always one of my favorite topics. Glad I came upon this.
new sub and LOVING your vids.....im running through them all though i may not comment on all....keep up the great work.....depending on who you dont do i will give some names
this intro was the best it was awesome.
Dude you always have cool music in your videos.
I remember the Stranger first showed up in the Marvel Universe in a Hulk issue a long time ago in very late 60's and I don't remember anything else. the second time I scarcely remember he showed up in an Avengers issue where he constructed a device that could destroy the earth.
Nope according to the Marvel Handbook Galactus only looks like that to us! To an anamorphic racoon he looks like a giant racoon.
Yes! UA-cam needed this video! I read that Neil Gaiman run and it had so much promise... and then it just ended. And they never revisited it except a mention in X-Men. Had you not read that Eternals stuff, you'd scratch your head.
you forgot to also talk about the beyonder.
Anyone with the power to destroy the universe is cosmic entity
Beyonder is a universe, not a cosmic entity
Seek the definition of the words cosmic and entity, then tell me if you think your statement is accurate
***** the Beyonder (pot retcon) is not a cosmic entity. Stop arguing that point because you are wrong
Could you do an episode solely on the cosmic cube vs the infinity gems
yessss do this one!!
Okay, here's my two cents on the ranking
High-End Multiversal Beings
Jack Kirby: Known better as The One Above All. God of Marvel
The Brother: Seen as the embodiment of Marvel Comics. Refers to the mech that appears in DC vs Marvel
Living Tribunal: Guardian of the multiverse. Only beaten with a cheap plot device by Jim Starlin and whatever knocked him out on the Moon. So high above most beings that the Infinity Gauntlet was no threat.
Living Tribunal's Three Heads-Necessity, Equity and Vengeance. Basically a multiverse-level version of the more familiar cosmic entites
Med-End Multiversal Beings
Multi-Eternity, Multi-Infinity ect...existence unconfirmed. Basically what the standard Entities are but applied to all universes
Pre-Retcon Beyonder: Practically omnipotent, but doesn't have
Unknown-End Multiversal Beings
Abraxas. Anti-Eternity, Anti-Existence. Had a happy time slaughtering multiple Galactus(Galacti?) and was apparently part of the hodge-podge that became the multiverse. Or something. No-one should care, he's a non-recurring Anti-Monitor rip-off
Low-End Multiversal Beings
A number of Stephen Strange baddies. In order of power we've got the Many-Angled Ones, Dormammu and Mephisto just to begin
Also a number of single individuals have reached this state, like Hyperstorm for example. Kang could be considered this to an extent, considering he's conquered a number of timelines
High-End Universal Beings
Infinity Gauntlet-Kind of obvious
Eternity/Infinity-They are literally time and space itself. Beyond omnipotence, you can't really outrank them
Death/Oblivion-The former is decay, the latter is absence
Galactus-Devourer of worlds. Only hurt by the Ultimate Annihilator or some interdimensional threat. Usually when he's not well-fed
Med-End Universe Beings
Order, Chaos and the In-Betweener
Mistress Love and Sire Hate and the High-End's spawn
I would have to disagree about Galactus and his form. I've read in certain story lines where he really has no form, but just appears as the image of the sentient race that beholds him. For example, if the Kree saw him, he would appears as a Kree. If a Dire Wraith saw him, he would look like a Dire Wraith.
Galactus can assume whatever form or shape he so desires even that of a star. However generally speaking various races tend to perceive Galactus as somewhat of a reflection of themselves.
Galactus & most of the others have a true energy form & take on other forms as necessary or desired.
I'm the strongest entity.
Sick burn
The Pre Retcon Beyonder You're not even an entity. Especially not a cosmic entity. I mean, your people are the most powerful beings in Marvel history. Still got shitted on by Dr. Doom, and he took their power lol.
Marvelous Beats more than the one above all?
The Beyonder yes you are.
No you're not. TOAA and LT are
Rob Jefferson your telling of the complete cosmic structure named entities and the cosmology of Marvel and D/C is second to none.
Absolutely love your vids! Keep it up
Great video thank you! Subscribed!
Lmao the Stranger is great. He really is just a stranger.
Do a video on the High Evolutionary!
hey sir you forgot about eternitys' opposite Death. He is the embodiement of everything living in life where she embodies everything dying
Isn't Phoenix Force a cosmic entity!!!!?????
+Guled Abdo yes it is
+Alucard Dracula but they dibt count her like one!!!
Guled Abdo
i think they forgot her
+Alucard Dracula my thoughts exactly!
Guled Abdo
xD
You also left out Ero. The green plant thing behind Captain Marvel. Who has been "eaten" be Galactus. The only recorded case of a cosmic entity killing/destroying another.
Please! A Jean Grey/Phoenix video! She, in my opinion, is the queen of the Marvel Universe, definitely the strongest mutant alive. Especially with her powers heightened by the Phoenix Force.
You left out mistress death. You able to do a video on that? Love your video on the marquis of death.
The Stranger is that guy who goes to a party for the food and no one knows who he is but is too polite to tell him to get lost. 🤣
good job bro, I showed it to the homies they like it, keep it up. do a DC segment someday
Eternity (Time) the opposite of Death (Things that end)
Infinity (Space) the opposite of Oblivion (Nothingness)
I love your videos; I just wish that you would add clips and videos from older shows to better explain your comics and push it to a point at which it makes it more interesting and relate-able.
I was told and I also do believe that the Living Tribunal has a fourth face, it's just never seen because it's in the back of his front face and of course you got the 2 side faces as well.
Hey Rob, I would like for you to explain Ego the living planet, The Grand Master and try and dig a little more on The Stranger... Let me know...
Great videos man, Watchmojo should look to you next time hey make a 'most powerful character in comics' top ten
I found an entry on the Stranger in the Marvel Wikia. Hopefully this will help illuminate his backstory (some of it, at least) "Stranger_(Cosmic_Being)_(Earth-616)" on Fandom: "Gigantian Uni-Mind
By his own account, the Stranger was a composite being who possessed the combined strength and intellect of the billions of humanoid beings who once lived on the planet Gigantus, an ancient world in the Andromeda Galaxy whose size approached the limit at which a planet could exist before fissioning into a sun.
He later admitted (or claimed) that he in fact found that composite being, accidentally killed him, and vowed to fulfill his role, but that he still suspected he could be a Gigantian himself"
marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Stranger_(Cosmic_Being)_(Earth-616)
The Stranger possesses the ability to channel and manipulate cosmic power on a scale comparable to that of Galactus and the Celestials, with feats including levitation; force field creation; size shifting and molecular manipulation of matter; light speed space travel; intangibility and energy projection and assembling a planet from segments of inhabited worlds from across the universe. The entity also possesses a "laboratory" world, where items are stored, and beings of interest, referred to as specimens, are kept prisoner for study.
Tough subject. Good job!
Kinda hoping you'd go over more of the cosmic entities, not just the ones presented. Like Phoenix Force, Infinity, Goblin Force, the Horde, Cubic Beings, etc. There's a lot more cosmic beings than just these ones.
+CH1C4N0444 How about Odin Force( by itself no one using it like odin, Thor etc) since it was said to be near limitless power.
I have never read any comics of dc and marvel but I really want to see these guys on a show or a movie even for a few seconds I'll be happy
There was a celestial in guardians of the galaxy
Champiano Beasticorn Thanos it was just him
Wish you would do a special on starjammers and the Morlocks
The Celestrials are not at the bottom. The Watchers are. They are slaves of The Celestrials. Uatu only intervened after the arrival of Galactus, because Galactus consumes planets and Celestrials are "birth" from them. The Cosmic Circle of Life
Yeah thats what I thought, the time were the watchers tried to build the one, to combat the celestials and exithar destroyed it.
Actually, the watchers are not slaves of the celestials they are kind of their opposite. Celestials take action Watchers dont. Celestials are very powerful. Weak one's are Eon and Epoch.
Christopher Williams that's just from a story I read. I'll take your word for it. Things are always being retconned
I love how the picture Rob uses for this video has the word Celestial written right next to them and you still managed to spell it wrong
MITCHS MOVIES channel does a great Marvel cosmic break down video !
How can Eternity with so much power always get his ass kicked by other beings?
I just subscribed bro, good stuff!
Thanks!
So...Stranger is the embodiment of Ignorance.
I was hoping you would include Mistress Death in this video, with the cancerverse as an example why she is such a necessity to the universe. And the difference between Mistress Death and the afterlife lords such as the Hell lords like Mephisto or Helheirm's Hela, or Hades underworld.
Awesome vids brah
Franklin Richards though becomes so powerful he's able to more or less control Galactus and make him his herald
Clyde Wyncham and his evil counterpart Marquis of Death did that and more.
Wasn't it the Hulk's second son's destiny for that too? He had a vision where Galactus was his herald as he traveled the universe obliterating Old Power.
***** mm mind control is one of lokis big feats though so mind controling is casual for him
I absolutely hated that. the writers seriously messed that up
Michael Lamar Simeon just cos he bought him back to life doesnt mean he is more powerful!
Basically his timeline as far as how he fights others all his powers how he dies and then is revived multiple times
u forgot to explain "Eon" from the lower left side of the pic
Can you do a video about The Elders of the Universe one by one? Especially now that they are appearing in the MCU?
I agree with your first three choices. After that its totally wrong. Even the Watchers said the Celestials were higher life forms in Quasar comics. Which means more powerful of course. The Stranger is linked to the Living Tribunal. He is said to be the 4th face of the Living Tribunal. What that means I have no idea. He is powerful but Spiderman sorta kinda beat him so yeah.
Should be...
1: The One Above All
2: Eternity / Infinity
3: Death / Oblivion
4: Order / Lord Chaos
5: Celestials (They exist in all timelines and in every moment in time. They are the judges of how our reality is unfolding. If
they judge a race or world would cause more harm than good to our reality, they simply destroy it.)
6: Other abstracts like The Stranger, Epoc, Kronos, Galactus & The Watchers that or immortal but can be killed.
The Stranger, I would say... His powers are the unexplained the in all
When Franklin achieves the conscious use of his full powers, he will have telepathic powers, tremendous telekinetic powers, the ability to fire enormously powerful energy blasts, and the ability to rearrange the molecular structure of matter and energy. His powers are so great that he has been able to create pocket universes, and his abilities have been described as equal to the Celestials.[30]
As an adult, he was able to turn Galactus into his herald.[31] The child Franklin and Valeria combined proved powerful enough to capture and restore the very essence of Galactus, that was hidden in the heart of Eternity, effectively resurrecting him.[32] By combining the abilities of his present and future selves, he was able to empower and control a previously defeated Galactus to destroy two Celestials.[21]
An adult version of Franklin was once described as "the great enemy of the omniversal order".[33]
I remember reading somewhere that The Stranger is supposed to be like a Backup Living Tribunal but he turned it down.
What about Mikaboshi/Chaos King?
Hate is a guy & Mistress Love - in a Silver Surfer issue - calls him her brother.
We need more vids! Keep up the hard work! Marvel should offer you a job!
