Neat method for potato planting! I've used those angers in planting tree seedlings. If you spin the auger as you pull it up out of the hole it will bring the soil with it. Find the right speed for how far you want the soil to sling.

For good yoeld it would help to add a 10 10 10 fertilize and bone meal in each hole then cover with mushroom compost
