I'm wondering if you still have it and I can tell you how to make it better beyond Stock Surround speakers. I have added 2 sets of surround speakers. I want to add another set. This is the first video that I made a speaker rotation. The one way speakers don't cut it. The more speakers you add the better and the sub can handle a rca y adapter. You can buy a used sub online to make it better also.
Yes I do, and am still using it! I haven't really thought about adding more surround speakers as I live in NYC Apartment and NYC apts are tiny :D but it would be nice to do that in the future.
@lcadigitalmedia This going to a 2 part message. I too live in a small apartment. You have options to do a speaker swap or add speakers. Vizio gives you 1 way speakers. There good but they are lacking. Until I put in my Insignia 2 way speakers I had no idea how bad. Like adding 2 exhaust pipes. This isn't to make your room louder this is to get to be better at Dolby Atmos. So youtubue videos you get the narrator on the sound bar. With 2 way or e way speakers that background music will play more clearly and be on separate surround channels. You have speaker cable and adapter options on how you would like your set connected.
@@scottivlow9962 oh yes for sure, the 2 extra speakers are definiteliy better. My family's house has 7.1 insatlled on the ceiling and all, and it's a more complete surround sound.
@@lcadigitalmedia Here is part 2 that got deleted when my switched to wifi. I'm not going to buy this or that. So you have brands from Insignia, Acoustic Audio,DPI,and Dual. For the cheap price even though I didn't buy them for under $40 you can get 2 way speakers from Goldwood. You only need 7" Indoor Outdoor Bookshelf speakers and the RCA Y connectors. Vizio included an excellent Class D amps in the subwoofer that subs can handle 4 speakers and 2 at 6 ohms. I have 2 3 Way DPI. I don't know how much care about getting the best out of midrange if you do go with 3 way speakers. Like you will get so much better sound separation from youtube with background music to where you hear it in the surround loud speakers that doesn't get pickup in the 1 way speakers. You get some good decent bass when it's needed. On Amazon you can buy cheap and small isolation pads and you can buy a good size one for your sub so that it's off the floor won't cause major floor vibrations. A month ago I didn't know they existed because I was using cardboard. I also have a pair Insignia 2 way bookshelf I/O speakers that I got from Best Buy. The quality is very high and the sound is as natural as they can be, they sell for $50. You don't need big 10" expensive speakers you just need a pair of small ones for better surround sound than what you have from Vizio. That said you can still pair them, sometimes they compliment the sound with the loud speakers. No matter the brand you have choices and you don't have to go so big on speaker size either. On your Vizio remote you can control the audio level on them too. You don't have to copy me but on Amazon I bought isolation pads for the soundbar also. So it's like resting on air. Is it considered snake oil? Yes Is it worth doing for under $15.00 For me yes but I'm not going to say that this is right for you because it won't change the sound by even a db. I can tell you on 3 way speakers there are not many brand options. Moukey has a brand I was going to buy but you can't get them new from a good retail with shipping included, This why I can tell you about Goldwood. To me the Dual speakers are ugly. I like clean straight lines and boxy speakers. Monoprice your going to pay more and you will need to bi wire them. There made for big amplifiers but they have upfiring speakers. I wanted to tell you this because speaker boxes don't say great for sound bar surround speakers. Or great replacement speakers for surround sound bar speakers.
It's actually not bad, after a couple of weeks using it. The soundbar is really immersive especially on movies with good Dolby Atmos. At the time of the recording, I thought I could use the apple music dolby atmos songs to test the dolby atmos but the atmos speakers on this soundbar are upfiring speakers which you'll notice when watching movie(s)/TV shows.
Thanks for the video. Just bought it today after having some latency issues with gaming on my Samsung 5.2. Bought this after watching UA-cam videos on it for $335
Hey, good question. How big? The Surround speakers can be quite loud, and the bass is pretty loud (For NYC Apt), but rear speakers are for surround effects or positional effects of the movie, so you don't actually want it to overpower the dialogue and/or center speakers. You want everything to blend in properly for the best immersion, including the dolby atmos upfiring speakers.
@@lcadigitalmedia It is more long than wide. The tv and system would be on the long side of the room, so front to back starting with the TV wouldn’t be too far. I had an older Vizio system that I tried to use in the room, didn’t work to well, but I am sure this is much better. The speakers would probably be 10 feet apart and about 5 feet behind where I would sit. I could probably get them closer with speaker stands if I really had to.
I wasn't trying to get atmos on youtube. I was trying recreate what I thought how atmos was implemented on Apple Music on my airpods. I later realized the atmos is for movies that effects from the ceiling lol
you just hook up the HDMI to the ARC input (HDMI). ARC means Audio Return Channel if you haven't known; then on your TV Audio settings, you select the wired speaker.
Hey, so it has the "Music" EQ Setting for that but it still depends on the audio source you're playing, like if playing on a low quality UA-cam music video, it may only play from the front due to the source, but you can also enable the VRT:X effect to emulate it to 5.1. But to answer your question, yes, it does have it, sort of.
I am considering this sound bar. What kind of TV are you pairing this with? Looks like an LG…just trying to figure out which one. Also in regards to your music, are you using an Apple TV? I think Apple has made a big deal with adding Dolby Atmos to some tracks in Apple Music.
Hey! Yes, I have an LG C1 55" OLED TV and so far the Vizio soundbar really is working well with the OLED TV seamlessly. I also have Apple music which I love with all the (Hi-Res) Lossless Audio and Dolby Atmos, although, Atmos is a hit or miss with each song, depending on the audio engineer. In my little experience with the soundbar, the Apple Music doesn't seam to output dolby atmos compared to the airpods pro/max; and IMO, the dolby atmos upfiring speakers of the soundbar is mainly for overhead effects on movies, so you won't get the same trickery with the soundbar in music but in movies, definitely can hear the atmos immersion.
@@lcadigitalmedia Thanks for that explanation. I am replacing a Vizio sound bar from 2016 so hopefully everything from movies to music to the little duh duh sound when I start Netflix will sound better. I have one other question. Does the HDMI input on the sound bar support HDR10?
@@RTPTechGuy You're welcome. How are you using your soundbar? HDR10 is for Video, not Audio, so it's irrelevant for the soundbar. HDR10 will be more of a TV question; also, just because a TV/Monitor accepts HDR10 input doesn't mean it will output HDR that well, it still depends on your TV/Monitor. If you want the best HDR output, granted you have an actual HDR content source, you need a minimum of 1000 nits Monitor/TV for it to properly output or map out the colors; one exception under 1000 nits are OLED TVs as they have infinite contrasts.
@@RTPTechGuy HDMI Passthrough are usually better when you have AV Receivers. IMO, Soundbars are more like extension devices (Speakers) that has an eARC port that you hook up to your TV or AV Receiver, and it will do its job very well.

My subwoofer might have blown out on this exact speaker does anyone know if the sell them separately it would really help me. Also I contacted Vizio maybe they can send me a new subwoofer replacement but the thing is I bought it on Amazon but it legit came from Vizio
