Maxpedition Remora

- Some where between your EDC and your Backpack sits a niche for a hand bag, the Maxpedition Remora fills that roll. When I wanted to carry some things that would have over filled my pockets, but didnt have room for a backback. Curious enough the Ladies really tend to dig this bag, so for the next bit of testing Im handing it over to my sister, her feedback to come.

Don't forget the "secret" compartment! Its on the underside of the strap just above the concealed carry opening. Its small, but will fit a full sized Bic lighter, a roll of cash, or one of many small devices. The nice thing is that whatever you put in there will usually remain hidden because most people will not find that out-of-the-way space.
I've just watched this review for perhaps the third time. I think it's a good comprehensive review, well spoken and thankfully without a lot of the 'fluff' that so many reviewers seem to feel compelled to include. The size comparison at the end I found especially useful. I do however have one criticism and that is I wish you had worn the pack. I think that would have provided viewers with an even better indication as to it's size and how it fits on the body. Cheers, b.
My Remora is stuffed, plus there's all kinds of stuff hanging off the sides. Oh, and don't forget about the "secret" pocket! It's underneath on the shoulder strap just above the concealed carry area. It's big enough for something the size of a small pill bottle. I have a Clipper refillable lighter in there. Since there is no water bottle pocket on the exterior, I attached a Maxpedition Mini Roly Poly, and filled it with a 38 oz Guyot Design stainless steel bottle. You can barely see the bag for all the equipment hanging off the sides. Thanks for the video.
If you have shit hangin' off it you're doin' it wrong....
ThanQ for filming
This was a very comprehensive review. Maybe it's just me, but I've not seen a pay phone in many years...many years, but it's always nice to have extra cash on your person because it's better to have it and not need it, than to need something and not have it. Once again, wonderful review sir. Please be well.
Great review - thanks! The Remora is more like an extra set of pockets . . . it's for when you plan to be out all day in the City, checking out a museum, short local day walk/hike in State Park (ex. Lexington/Concord walk, etc), casual bike ride. You can keep your camera, small FAK, penlight, hand wipes, a couple of protein bars, a couple of small bottles of water for yourself and your child, etc. Sling bags should be kept light as they don't distribute weight equally. A heavy sling bag on a long hike is not a lot of fun. For size and weight considerations...if carrying for long periods and simply need "extra "pockets"...the Remora could be just right.
Excellent review and I appreciate the size comparison of the three bags. Scott
best video review so far for the remora
Very nice! I'm a big fan of the Gearslinger line. I'm using the Monsoon for kind of a hunting pack this fall.
It's a shame that people in the US are so immature about men carrying a bag of some kind. Women got the idea from men when they got there rights. Back then, men carried some kind of a bag. What we call a purse is not a purse to begin with. If you are a man and carry a wallet, your carrying a purse. The bag is just a bag/satchel/haversack, etc,, etc.
Thank you for the video. I couldn't help but notice that Amazon have at least 3 brands that carry the exact same bag. Same specs (other than YKK zippers). The cheapest I found one is $16. Now, if you have to have the "Maxpedition" name stitched on the bag then I guess that justify paying $60+ bucks for it. Just saying...
let me know if your doing any give aways with that thing! 90 bucks is over priced imo.
@oregonmikes the size it what I needed, it held just what I needed on the fire engine and no more.
I like that you went ahead & got the "man purse" title covered at the beginning of the video : )
Great review beast
