Also I think the balance of “FaceTime” or less edited videos being popular is awesome because editing can be really challenging for people who didn’t grow up on social media and tech
I started to create content when I was 45. This year I turn 51, have 145K followers on IG, 32K and Top Voice on LinkedIn and next up is UA-cam. It's never to late to shine! 🤩🌟
You explained this so well. As a creator, I feel the same way about most content on UA-cam. Everyone has the same type of content where it’s overly edited. It’s super fast paced. It’s super aesthetic and it just doesn’t feel organic natural and authentic. I get so happy when I find creators who seem like someone who lives next-door it’s refreshing.
The Facetime thing actually works. Personal experience. I have all sorts of content in TikTok, and the ones performing super well are those recorded with minimum to no extra lighting and just the front cam. In most of those, I'm either holding my phone at my desk or just after a nap on the sofa. A lot of them are super slow-phased as well, sometimes almost 10 minutes. I'm not saying the videos with proper lighting and editing don't perform well. They do, but those recorded just out of the blue with no plan have always gone over 100k views for me. I have noticed the same trend with many of the creators that I know in my circle. This was never a topic for discussion, nor has it crossed my mind. But since you pointed it out, I thought about it and it's true.
As a singer/songwriter I'd love these predictions to come true! I prefer being natural with my content and I'd love to find the audience that appreciates that ❤
I love that we are seeing older content creators!! I just started my channel last month at age 41! My channel is geared toward empowering and helping inspire women in their 40s to embrace this chapter in their lives with confidence and purpose. It’s never too late to start anything!!✨🙌🏾
Love this. What just start a channel for Genx freelancers and entrepreneurs. I discuss the highs and lows of entrepreneurship. I’m having fun connecting with people on UA-cam.
Honestly I think your predictions trends for social media are super on point! AND I also believe that TikTok will not be banned here on the US because the market it's too big and there's so much value! Also I agree Instagram needs to step it up their game for creators because they are a big part of the app and they are the ones who create consistently. 💫 Really great video Millie!
Over 50 stand up!!❤ Love sharing musing about entrepreneurship and life as a genxr. Thank you for this awesome video. Your channel is so on point and helpful. Yes I want to learn about FaceTime.
After a year of watching how to videos I have now found my home base. I started watching your videos today, this being my 4th long video, and each has answered so many questions I've had and I feel empowered to pursue a dream I've had since retiring and that is reaching out to the 50+ community. You've helped me find my niche, you're giving me the tools to build a foundation. My passion is to inspire and motivate them to engage and educate them on how to accomplish that. I've simultaneously been a corporate trainer in business, an event planner for charitable events, a volunteer coach and mentor to youth organizations, and a professional musician for over 40 years. Applying what I've learned in just the last 3 hours from your videos has me so excited that I need to be careful not to get ahead of myself. I will put myself on the waitlist for the the BSP Model and continue to learn and build a foundation by watching as many of your videos as I need to so that I am prepared when enrollment comes around. I'll start with the 12 Month Content Creator Plan. Can't thank you enough!
I’ve had my channel for 16 years (450k subs). UA-cam always paid little money, like $900/month (except during the pandemic) and that’s ok because of my niche and viewers. But one day a few years ago, after I followed a UA-camr’s advice to do SEO with a very famous app, all my video views dropped significantly and stayed there forever receiving $250/month in revenue since then. Now when I upload a new video, no matter what I do, it only gets 1k views at the most. I think I will follow ALL your predictions because they all make a lot of sense. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO.
Prediction # 2 & 3 is seems super accurate from what I’m noticing. Especially the low effort, FaceTime type content being preferred. It also helps to build community.
@ exactly! I think that’s part of the authenticity bit where people want to really feel like they know you, like you are relatable. People are tired of all the fluff, we want to see real folks.
@ I agree but (fortunately) lots more 35+ crowd are beginning to come on the app to make content. I am especially noticing a huge influx of seniors and they definitely appreciate the communal direction YT is going in. They tend to be more faithful supporters too! Also you look fantastic, btw!!!
@ thanks. 😊Yes I think I’m going to post the shorts/reels I completed already and starting next month concentrating on longer form and UA-cam. Even with shorts in between but being more Face Time looking!
Yes please...58 year old small channel creator here. Loving that there is a place for me. Would love to hear more about how to make facetime engaging and professional ... I am 50 50 on that now. Layering it in. Binging you lately! Shouting out your channel in my vid tomorrow on my new niche down plan. Actually following your pillar strategy. Cant wait to see how it goes. 🎉🎉
Totally agree with pretty much all of these! I’ve been an IG creator for about 10 years and I’m absolutely preparing to start up on UA-cam. I actually LOVED when IG had IGTV and my audience responded well to longer form content that way as well so it feels like a natural fit to be on YT. I’m also over 40 and we are definitely having a moment on social as well!
I really liked the way you are imitating these creator with the sounds "lanana;anana.....". So cool. And, i believe that as per your predictions, the social media space is evolving.

Millie, as always an excellent video! I really think the ‘FaceTime creator’ trend will take off. Personally, I think the consumer and especially the younger consumer is becoming somewhat immune to anything done in a ‘salesy’ style because we’ve got so much information available we can call bs on things easily. I’ve started an online clothing store and am going to use TikTok to grow (thanks to all your informative videos!) and I plan on creating content that is very much in line with ‘FaceTime creator’ content.
As an older creator, 59, with a small beauty and lifestyle channel, I'm thrilled with youtube showing such a variety on the home page. I started my channel 3 1/2 years ago and it was definitely different when I started.
And yes do a FaceTime video for creators! This can be so helpful to get more videos out without having to edit as much. Editing takes most of my time!!
Totally feel you on the editing time suck! As someone who runs a digital agency, I recently stumbled upon Mydrop AI and it's been a game-changer for me in this exact area. Their AI content generation feature not only helps with creating automated posts, but it made producing Facetime-style content quicker. I managed to whip up a week's worth of content in one afternoon! Could be worth a look if editing's eating up your time too. Have you tried any AI tools for content creation yet?
I love this so much! Currently I’m almost 44 (in March) and since the start (mid 2023- I think?? time is going so fast with two teens in the house 😅) I’ve been a ‘FaceTime creator’ on my socials. I had a deal with myself that I’d only start this account if it’s minimal effort. And because I don’t put pressure on myself and I have boundaries around how much content I put out and type-it is so much fun.

Thanks so much, this is great information!🥰 Also, how are creators on UA-cam able to use trending music without copyright issues. Can you please do a video on that, about putting music to your UA-cam video without getting into trouble for copyright issues, because all the videos I’ve seen on this subject are like 2 years old or older 😔

@@MillieAdrian I think I’m going to try some that. Before I go on that journey your page and some others will be seeing me more. I’ll have a video as to why in a few weeks. Keep going though I’m listening to the scoop. 😎🫡😁
Working a full-time job, attending church multiple times weekly, and spending time with family, how would you recommend prioritizing putting out videos, etc. when your time is already limited? I was thinking about setting up calendar dates of when videos should be posted with a deadline. Feeling the push of a deadline, I think I might respond to that more than just posting whenever I can get to it. What do you think?
It's tough juggling so much! I totally get it since I run a digital agency with similar time constraints. I recently stumbled upon Mydrop AI, and oh man, it's been a game-changer. For instance, I scheduled an entire month of content in just one afternoon, allowing me to spend more time with family and focus on what matters. You might find the scheduling feature really helpful for setting those video deadlines, keeping you on track without feeling overwhelmed. How often are you planning to post?
@ I’m looking to post twice a week. I will check out your recommendation. That’s a good idea to record content all at once and then set the schedule. Thank you.
Creating a posting schedule is a great place to start. I also recommend working “ahead.” This way you have content before you need it and you don’t feel the pressure of having to have it done to post right away.
As someone who became serious about financial literacy after 30, and started my personal finance brand in my mid-30s, I love to see the older creators on platforms! It is truly a reminder that you are never too early or late for anything. And I gain so much wisdom, laughs (because they always say what is on their minds 😂) and guidance from them. ❤ Another excellent video Millie. Thank you for always keep us on trend.
I agree with TikTok users turning to UA-cam, especially since we can upload short content here, too. It was daunting to start with long videos. I picked up knitting as a hobby last year and I am now sharing my progress, creations and tips here on UA-cam shorts as well.
Miller, I totally feel like made this video for me. I will be 59 this year and I felt like I'm too old and you need to be some young energizer bunny to create stuff. Also YES I would love to see something slower. I'm not comfortable with all of this fast pace stuff. I have something I want to teach and I want people to understand it process it.
Thanks Millie, another amazing video with helpful tips! I was scared, that I don’t edit good enough and I am too real or „too old“, cause I’m over 30. But this gives me more motivation now 🎉😊
11:21 I noticed you mentioned that this was recorded in July (2024), and since it was published in January 2025, it's safe to assume that you have content prepared at least 6 months in advance. Your work ethic is very impressive (and inspiring)!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
There was a correction text (*Early January) that popped up on the left side of the screen when she said early July! Might just be an honest mistake ☺️ I agree though, her work ethic is impressive!
I think you’re right about people on TikTok moving to UA-cam. I’m in the process of this. As for instagram, it’s so hard to grow on there. But people buy on instagram. Maybe UA-cam is the sweet spot.
I would LOVE some long-term content. Maybe not too slow-paced, but definitely not as fast-paced as some reels on instagram are...i am 25 and even for me when the video is cut in the middle of the movement, just because it looks like nothing is happening or with so many transitions that i feel like i am flying through the screen is exhausting and i just scroll away :D i don't see it as much on youtube, but definitely if you are burnt out, make more slow-paced content or a series or anything like that. It does NOT need to be fast to be fun and engaging
Having a mixed of short and long form content is great! Especially because you can reach both audiences. I know it can be more work, but if you can repurpose long form into short form that’s the easiest way! ☺️
From what I understand Facetime Content Creator as, I have to agree. My top three creators on youtube are chill and really just seem like siblings or close friends even though I have never met them and only one Ive actually chatted with on a personal level. But I very much prefer those sort of people and I will have those three people on as background noise because its comforting. :)

I agree with TikTok users turning to UA-cam, especially since we can upload short content here, too. It was daunting to start with long videos. I picked up knitting as a hobby last year and I am now sharing my progress, creations and tips here on UA-cam shorts as well.
Yepp, facetime creator video, please :) with a bit of affirmation to people shy to give their face, if possible. Pretty please
Thanks for this awesome video🎉
You’re so welcome! Thank you for your support! ☺️
Would love a FaceTime creator video! ❤🙏
thanks for this video 🥰 I am definitely more like a "FaceTime creator", I try to keep everything simple.
Thanks for this lovely video. Yes, I would like to learn about more naturalistic style videos...
I am currently 39 and started my channel 2 years ago. Was inconsistent, but it's NOW picking up a bit. Love this
Yes!! I love that for you!! 👏🏽👏🏽 wishing you continued success!!
I'm 59 and about to jump in here. Would love to learn more about the low effort video trend.
That makes sense, I like your gold chain also.
Would love to see you do a video on FaceTime creation 🙌🏻 and great video!
Thanks Millie, another amazing video with helpful tips! I was scared, that I don’t edit good enough and I am too real or „too old“, cause I’m over 30. But this gives me more motivation now 🎉😊
You’ll never be too much of anything for the right person 🧡 just gotta find your people, you’ve got this!
This was so accurate!
We need a whole video on FaceTime videos! ❤
Thank you very much for this video! I like to watch videos from older and younger creators. I can learn something new from everyone. ❤
You’re so welcome! Thank you for your support! ☺️
Thank youuu
11:21 I noticed you mentioned that this was recorded in July (2024), and since it was published in January 2025, it's safe to assume that you have content prepared at least 6 months in advance. Your work ethic is very impressive (and inspiring)!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
There was a correction text (*Early January) that popped up on the left side of the screen when she said early July! Might just be an honest mistake ☺️ I agree though, her work ethic is impressive!
@cutiefoofie Oh, I missed that. Thanks. And yes, her work ethic is still impressive!
I do work ahead, but not that far! That was definitely my bad 🤦🏽♀️
I think you’re right about people on TikTok moving to UA-cam. I’m in the process of this. As for instagram, it’s so hard to grow on there. But people buy on instagram. Maybe UA-cam is the sweet spot.
Love seeing older content creators! I'll be 48 this year and thought I'd be too old.
Thank you for all your great advice! I learnt so much from you, as a small creator gotta keep developing! 😊
I think this is spot on! I just opened my new channel and I’m seeing what works and what doesn’t. The FaceTime creators is interesting to me!
I just wanna be around like minded people 💯 ❤❤❤❤
The true goal in life!
I was just watching your videos all night wondering when you were releasing the latest!! Thank you so much Millie
Ahh thank you so much! I hope you found these predictions interesting! ☺️
@ I sure did! Thank you so much!
Hi Millie please do a deep dive on how to do the FaceTime content! Tysm
More on the Facetime Content please
From what I understand Facetime Content Creator as, I have to agree. My top three creators on youtube are chill and really just seem like siblings or close friends even though I have never met them and only one Ive actually chatted with on a personal level. But I very much prefer those sort of people and I will have those three people on as background noise because its comforting. :)
this is what i always have wanted to do with my own content, really chill and sharing the ups and downs of my student life abroad
Yes please create a video on FaceTime creating
Got it!! Keeping this in mind for future content!
I’m a hairdresser and really would love to know about the low effort and organic! I’ve tried the trends and it’s just not me!
Thanks Millie!
You’re so welcome ☺️☺️
As always, I love your content. As a small channel, I appreciate your knowledge dump and love the predictions! 🎉
Wow! Thank you!! I really appreciate the support!!😊
Love your insights !!
Thank you for sharing but as much as I love content creation I still love to investment as well.
Pre-tax contributions may help reduce income taxes in your pre-retirement years while after-tax contributions may help reduce your income tax burden during retirement.
Both have their perks but you can also save for retirement outside of a retirement plan, such as in an individual invstment account or employing the services of a retirement planner/investment advisor.
I've been managing my portfolio myself, but it's not working out. Do you have any recommendations for a good investment advisor? I could really use some help.
My CFA, James Brendan McCall, is a renowned figure in his field. I recommend researching his name online; you'll find all his credentials and everything you need to work with a reliable professional. With many years of experience, he is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market.
Would love to see facetime content advice.
