This truly is a fun project everyone. I'm also starting my 2nd kit & the yarn is wonderful to work with. You can go at your own pace. I followed a few rows with the YT tutorial which was excellent. I'd also recommend this ❤
thanks - love the afghan - wow so many people wanting things - I will try to get you a few squares - not sure but will try - I was a caregiver for years - loved the people I supported so your project is close to my heart thanks
Donna, thank you so much!! That's why I thought Granny Squares would be great, just using up scraps...even a thoughtful card would brighten their day. Thank you for the work that YOU DO/DID...!🥰XX Kim
What an amazing project. My brother has a baby Home for abandoned babies in South Africa and I used to make baby blankets for the babies to take home when adopted. Now he also has a kindergarten and I made 30 blankets for the little ones to nap with and take home too!! Sadly I have had to move to Wales due to my disabilities. I now make baby blankets for stillborn babies of which sadly there are many. I wish I could get Annies subscription but I am overseas. 😢 I am a nursing sister and spent the last 15 years of my career with the elderly. I managed a frail care home and then went out on my own with a few carers and did end of life care which is where I was the most blessed. I LOVED it such an honour to walk that journey with the patient and the family. I had to stop working in September of 2022 due to my chronic illnesses and it broke my heart. I was 54 at the time. Now I just love to crochet taught myself through you tube last year and my biggest dream is to do a mandala afghan. Your lantern one looks stunning. No idea how to read a pattern though!!! Thanks for your videos I really enjoy them 😊
Wow Amanda!! Your story is so powerful! I am humbled!! I too have worked with babies (as a lactation consultant and a doula) and I looked into being an "end of life doula," what a gift you give. And your brother as well...what beautiful giving hearts! I hope you keep crocheting...I really think its so important for mental and even physical health! I'm very glad your here! XX Kim
@@Kimberly_Knit4Brains Thank you so much Kim. I did become s death doula. Can you believe I started out as a maternity nurse and ended up in end of life!! What a wonderful journey it has been.
Hi!! Yes it was indeed...it was my COVID afghan (by chance). I found the kit on LoveCrafts, along with the pattern...it was beautiful (and still one of my favorites). This is the link you can use to find the pattern, www.lovecrafts.com?a_aid=1d5b52fd it's called " Blue Happy CAL 2019) and you can find the pattern on Ravelry ravel.me/blue-happy-cal-2019
Funny, I picked up a pack of yarn (for like $2) at an Estate sale for one month of an afghan project from a few years ago that is a similar club format to what you are doing. I did a bit of research and saw a review for the same afghan that I got yarn for. Anyway, I wont try and find all the months for the yarn that I got (it is a 12 month project) but will use the yarn for another project. It is the same yarn you are using and I did go and order a few more other skeins in complementary colors to go with what I already got.
Hi Suzanne...WOW how funny!! And what a great deal! I'm really liking the Premier Anti Pilling, it's really nice to work with! Great find for you!! XX Kim

I love Annie's kits! What is that afghan sitting in the corner, was that a kit as well?
That is cool! I have admired that for a while!
