DIA DE SANTO ANTÓNIO - Santo António dos Olivais - O dia 13 de junho é o dia de Santo António que é considerado o "Santo casamenteiro". Por isso, em Lisboa há a tradição de fazer os casamentos das chamadas "noivas de Santo António". Em Coimbra, a principal igreja dedicada a este Santo é a Igreja de Santo António dos Olivais situada na freguesia com o mesmo nome. Os responsáveis pela igreja foram mudando ao longo dos séculos. Atualmente a igreja é dirigida pelos frades da Ordem de S. Francisco. São várias as celebrações realizadas nesta igreja no dia 13 de junho, de entre as quais se destaca uma procissão realizada ao fim do dia.
SAINT ANTHONY's DAY - Santo António dos Olivais - The 13th of June is Saint Anthony's Day who is considered the "Holy matchmaker". Therefore, in Lisbon there is a tradition of performing marriages of "brides of St. Anthony." In Coimbra, the main church dedicated to this Saint is the Church of "Santo António dos Olivais" located in the parish of the same name. Those responsible for this church have changed over the centuries. Currently the church is being led by the friars of the Order of St. Francisco. There are several celebrations held in this church on the 13th of June, including a procession, carried out in the evening.
