I was there watching with my kids who were awestruck by this amazing event. The day when they left on the barges down the Swan River will be etched in everyone who attended for ever .
It was just so sensational.. never an event to be forgotton .... A once in a Lifetime experience has been wonderful to watch this again on Video many thanks

Tis amazing how much effort and time some artworks take. Love seeing all the apparatus... The moving eyes, the opening mouth, the standing, the dancing, looking about, the music, and the trust the Girl allows in the construction if the Giants. ❗️💙❣⭕️🌞
I remember watching this in 2015,I thought this was so cool!
My father was a Broome pearl diver for more than twenty years, and of five children had only one daughter. This certainly meant a lot to my sister. The team on puppeteers was masterful, like sailors in the in the days of yore working the rigging.

uhm..thats creepy, especcialy because its moving
it is an amazing way to remember those lost in it all but also again europe takes my heart. How amazing the reality in the faces an all. So unreal. I would be happy just to be allowed to pull one string on the guy. All of them are amazing but that looks so real and alive it is haunting in a cool way. Wished they had a showing of it when I was back home*home is where the heart is and for 10 years I was home*

I saw these giants in Perth with my ex unfortunately but the giants were amazing and really well done! I know that I had been exciting when I saw them. The only thing is that when they came it was overcrowded with people so it was hard to move around and that it was a very warm day when I was there to see the giants.

Errrr, I hate to be a know it all, but in this particular performance the Giant Diver was in fact an Australian who had grown exceptionally tall whilst rescuing Australians whose boats sank in Gallipoli, hence the last post etc in this vid. It’s a really interesting origin story for this particular performance, so I suggest you look it up on the Royal de Luxe website, you can find the storylines for each performance on their ‘Picture Wall’. Although you are right, for most of their performances the Giant Diver is the Little Girl-Giant’s uncle. Height wise, he is around 12m tall and she is around 6m tall, in case you were wondering!!
