I loved your talk about engaging with your kids. Doing stuff with kids gives them life skills that last forever. Lego might lead to an architect... pipe cleaners, maybe an electrician..who knows. And I always ask parents who think their children are too old for certain toys...WHO makes the toys and who makes big money owning toy companies....Grown up adult people.... Toys are for Everyone! I'm glad you spoke out.. Bravo 👏
Ana, I sit with my boy and help him with his homework every weeknight! I assist him with his shower or bath, he just turned 8yr on May 7th. I watch a movie every night with him...he has a Fire TV in his room, but he loves to watch tv in me & Daddy bedroom or in family room, the 3 of us watch together with snacks. We all 3 do stuff together! He has a Nintendo switch but rarely wants to play with it. He not into games that much, he loves crafting and I encourage him to craft!!❤❤❤❤
You are correct!! One of the best memories my kids and I have are the summers we did crafts or had reading times together or drove someplace fun (like Hershey Park). One summer we did ceramics in the garage. We got sandwiches, nachos and drinks. Opened the garage doors so a breeze went through, played music, laughed and talks and painted our ceramics. They are 50 and 58 and they STILL talk about it! In those days, TV was the time stealer. We turned off the TV like today’s kids need to turn off their electronics. Good advice from you, Anna! ❤👍🏻😃
Educating kids takes patience and dedication. Sometimes It's hard being a parent. Like you said: "We get tired and want time to rest...time to ourself "
Good old picnics and camping, we also went fishing I was raised a tomboy so 2 boys were no problem to keep busy. No phones or social media because they are 47 and 49 this year. I feel sorry for kids whos parents don't play,craft spend time with them. I loved every minute of it. Great haul again. Keep smiling beautiful lady ❤❤❤😍👍🙏🇨🇦

Ive never never had a problem with my 3 children engaging in video games too much along with watching television.....there was always time for family entertainment together.Yes,they had some time to play them but as you said we as parents have to teach them at a young age.There are many things for childen to do besides phones,videos and television.Have a blessed day Ana❤😊
Im so glad my children grew up way before electronic devices. But i think that was a good thing. My great grandson just asked if the sleepover could he play with us and help us with stuff. He realizes there is a world out there that is pretty interesting. So we explore neighborhoods, grocery stores, electronic shops, and the parks. Riding bikes has become fun. But he rides in a safe zone, cause im not able to ride with him.
My boys as well I think life was better back then technology has made life harder especially for us older folks. 👍

It’s so hard my son is non verbal autistic and I hope school him and I have to engage with him every second I don’t have a time for myself it’s so difficult. When I can get him to watch the tablet for 10 mins I feel like I’m in heaven.
I have a special needs son. He 54, an accountant and married. I remember feeling just like you. I wish I could give you a break. God bless you for putting your child first.
I agree with you on engaging with our kids as they grow and not always let Electronics occupy our kids time. I did many different things with my kids and they are now adults. But we still make time to do things together. ❤❤❤

Those straw covers are necessary in the summer! So cute maybe in your miniature houses too? We all need a few minutes alone each day. Artistic kids need that outlet and are very important and doing it together is key! Game time has a few minutes a day too for socializing! Parenting is part of life so shy not have fun?? If we make it hard it only gets harder so be engaging n develop their minds!! Take care neighbor!!

Yes Ana a little quiet time is a must. Devices are great for a little time for yourself. As I said in a previous comment I loved my time with them. Back then they could take off on thier bikes and you didn't have to worry like now a days. Be home when the street lights come on lol.😍 I think you are a really great mom we can all see that on your videos. Would love to have you as a friend as well I miss not having anyone with the same interests as I have. I am thinking back to another one of your videos now and think I should look into a ladies group to knit socks or journals. Anyway I am babbling to much now take care. My store always divides up the good food products. $1.25 for 1 bar. They really outdid themselves when they divided up the tiny 8 oz bottles of alkaline water. Really 1 tiny bottle of water for $1.25 🤦🏻♀️ I’m glad some of you guys are getting the good deals! Tfs ❤

More parents need to feel the same as you about raising children... I'm raising 5 granddaughters by myself as my husband is an OTR trucker and there are no video games in my house...so when we're not engaged in baking crafting or etc they're usually in the pool riding bikes playing outside etc
Me for one I agree 💯 Percent on the Games, way to much, im. Grandma of 7, I had 3 sons, we didn't have all these things, so ya, when I was growing up no such thing, TV was black n white we watched very little TV, not everyday either we had chores and all, we turned out fine, there were no such things ad todays world, I do not allow me grandkids to stay on electronics at all, glad you brought this up and talked about it. You found some great stuff. I’m also guilty of letting my son get on his tablet for the peace too but he also plays outside and plays with his toys. Not mad at what you said, you are right. I’ll engage with my son but not as much as I should.

I'm with you Anna. I Home schooled my kids & I hope what I did with them helped them be who they are now & smarter too. It's good to have time with your kids, but they can have games & some internet interaction (with your parental control) it allows them to use their minds. All kids need to have other ways of expressing themselves. Painting, Drawing, Legos, & even Dress up. Parents don't have to always be engaging with their kids. We can all use some quiet, down time too. 🥰🥰
I have an only child and that is especially hard since they have no one to play with. People think one kid is sooo easy but it's actually harder.

Hi Anna love your haul! Can I ask about your daughter? I remember a few years ago she made an appearance on a few of your videos. She’s so beautiful like her mother. She has a sweet personality and would there be any chance she could make an appearance sometime. I’m sure she works and it would be hard and I certainly would understand.
