I'm back here 9 years later,,how did this debate end? Hehehe
Am forced to comment on this issue, Johny junior is great,Mj was the guru
Instead of arguing who is the best, we should be praying for Musa Juma.
Rest In Peace wuod Usonga.
Musa Juma will never in the history of Benga be outdone. He may be dead, but his spirits still live with us. His music was special in that it carried a lot of lessons to us. Were it not for him, John Junior could be nowhere now. You can't outdo your master! All the same, John Junior is equally good. Madanje is another good one.
JJ now carry th mantle of Luo Rumba. Loooooong live Luo Rumba.
each is a maestro with their own inimitable sound.
For sure Mj was KING
I love JJ songs
You can never compete with your master.
To me they are both great but maximum respect to musa juma
this john jr ni mkaliest tu sana!!! best voice. tamu xana!!!!
Once a master always a master ☺️mj pod pek
jj is not a serious man when you attend his party you will agree with me

MJ was the maestro for me
you cannot compete your teacher, your mentor,MJ is a bove still
Kupinga m.j ni kama kupinga baba and I won't accept this j.j started of well I thought he would follow the roots of m.j but soon fame faux and pride took better part of him and now he is floating in the rhumba industry ..wat ashame!
I vote JJ. The young generation.
We have great Luo rhumba musicians
i agree its not right to compare these 2....one has been in the field forever, insted encourage him. hes super good since hes new. am loving this young jamaa y lie!!!! go for it dude.
Musa Juma (kama iaye bor woud Usonga) you should not lower himself to fighting against his 'protogees' his 'sons' in music. Musa started a long time ago, suffered a lot along the way..I can remember dancing to him and Tony for a mere 50/- @ Chemeil Bar-RoundAbout early 2000 - 2002. Musa grow and let others grow too...... Wacha huyo kijana ajaribu pia!
Oketch Aokoh i speak as anbinsider,a friend of these two( shabiki) wrote this song actually from swahili song but both deserve the right as they both can not claim the rights...but the king here still remains the king and that is mj...jj was sadly introduced to limpopo by a congolese ( late franke lybe) whom discovered his talent in siaya when he happened to go eating at a hotel where he jj was working( i was there present) then he brought his sample cd n asked lybe to hear it n see if he can do music, franke being a humble n akind man encouraged him n the rest is history...jj big up! but mj pod pek ni! pod you need some more plays to know n get the tricks....but joma okia mj to we ni ipek! but joma ong'e rhumba to ong'e ni itemo...mae adieri man kende ma kata in be ing'eyo...so miwa ngolo! by the way ahero sweety that song is kool! i don mind it
let us call it and name it j j uko juu
@oigla ayie kodi ,JJ temo to MJ oinge mabor ahinya.father more JJ okawo bits mag MJ .we ochorgo ndalo kapok oyudo mage

Achana na dogo JJ, hiyo ni kitu ingine brother, huwezi linganisha na MJ. JJ yuko juu sana acha ushabiki usio na tija
WOW LOVE IT, COMPE, JJ have it, we learn fom mentors
no battle here musa juma still stands to be the king bt j.j is prince rem the teacher
@naidamu frank libe is very good at chanting. he has his own unique style. Mj has come from very far. Chemelil in the late nighties, Boma inn kisumu Eldoret and finally to the big stage in nairobi. ngato chamo mana tije ja kababa. wan wa biro mieli a miela wacha waseme wacha waseme............
RIP in peace
Beyond comparison, that foolish John should apologize for stealing.
MJ is still a legend no matter what, u should not bite the masters hand after him feeding u, as a matter of fact Mj is the mentor here n JJ is the servant who stole the masters tricks, nway they are all good rhumba artists bt let MJ's soul rest in peace not pieces
WUOD USONGA RIP JAH BLESS
Mj ako juu and original
Junior 1- Musa Juma 0. Game on!
MJ
Musa Juma was the original owner
Who actually wrote the original song?
We should atleast agree to the fact that even if JJ was from MJ but JJ is far much than Mj now
Musa juma, mwisho.
R.I.P Jausonga

i like the song but the video should be adjusted. soon j j will be the king of rhumba .kudos
Igwe bandason
@tbwanat .You very right n
musa juma mambo yoote
I vote John
MUSA JUMA NOMA SANA
John Junior the photo coping machine shindwe
Polycarp Otieno
Get your facts right man. JJ did this song in 2008. MJ did his in 2009. Above all, Junior was introduced into the field of music by John Otieno Ogile Jagwasi aka Ogile Jakolando. That is where he got his Junior name coz they were two Johns in the band. He joined MJ after the demise of Ogile. Both are good in their own ways, but do not call JJ a photocopying machine. Get to know his roots first. Shindwe!
I think MJ wasnt a student of Ochieng Kabaselle bt a real student of Franco. Get SIAYA KABABA, CHRISTINA, HERA MUDHO then listen 2 MAMOU, NGUNGI and KIMPA KISANGAMENI. U'll appreciate the similarity of the pieces! In my view, MJ is in his own league. JJ is good too so let's nt compare them. It's like comparing Madilu n Dalients Ntesa; the 2 ar good at thea own levels. Is it like thoz class one debates of a father is better than a mother; wea a u headed with such arguments?
After 13 yrs now , there is nobody that come close to MJ in terms of Luo rhumba....Vocals....lead guitar junior who can't even play a guitar... never do that to MJ AND YOU SHOULD APOLOGIZE TO MJ. KUMBAFU
I ENJOY JJ VOICE IN THIS SONG MORE THAN MJ.
To mention just afew
Who is this confused person comparing Musa juma to his student?
how do you start comparing mj and JJ. Mj ever on top
onge ngima da wachi thum pek tek pimo
jj is just a copy cart mj is still a Rhumba maestro
Never again compare Muja Juma with his students!! Respect the King 👑
