Pretty awesome Merrick!! Look at how much easier it all is to work on now! The automotive engineers could learn a little something from you about building things that are easier to work on
Solenoid on a starter is a electro magnet when current is applied pulls steel clyinder that the starter drive is connected to and at the same time connects the wires to the starter motor to make it turn. most solenoids like on a ford on the firewall just connect the contacts to send power to devices, the one mounted on starter does much more
have you seen the 12volt A/C Compressors you can mount anywhere no belts can stay cool without the engine running. saw someone building a overlander used that compressor. they also used Mazda electric power steering pump no belts mount any where they sell kits on ebay
Trying to purchace a 1968 suburban its on the assembly stage of a complete rebuild if all wiring is in the correct location and in good condition how difficult it dash and lighting install going to be?
There are harness kits you can buy from several different companies that will have dash and gauges or interior lighting etc. check for something on American autowire or painless wiring etc. A generic harness might suffice too
I’ve had my Ls in my 73 k5 for almost 8 months and the terminator X Max is all hooked up. The only thing I haven’t done is connect to power and I’m scared to death to wire it up because I don’t wanna ruin anything. Not sure which wires come off my bulkhead that I need and which ones I don’t.😅
I have plenty of videos on my install and wiring of the terminator in my blazer. And don’t worry you can’t ruin anything. Just make sure that the fused main power connection is in first and work your way from there knowing that your circuits are fused
Keep feeling good about yourself! Thanks for helping me make some electrical connections.

I need to replace my wire harness and just hoping to add a few things like winch, lights, etc.

Yes! Thank you!
Bro, I appreciate the video although I think I will leave it to you and the professionals! LOL
Why did you use a separate switch for ignition power instead of using the switch pros
Because I set the switch pro up to be 12v switched
The word you're looking for is "proportional

I haven’t. Is it being used to fill tank or used as Ac compressor?
@@MerricksGarage used as A/C compressor can run a/c without starting the engine . they sell kits on ebay
