I found myself laughing out loud. The scenes in the Levy Factory were hilarious.
I think it’s one of the funniest books ever written. I read it every few years…beginning in around 1989. It’s just a crazy ride from start to finish and there’s nothing else like it in American fiction.
i agree with michael lewis. this is a great book with some of the best dialogue ever. i am glad some AP English teachers are making their students make video projects for it (although the video projects are pretty awful, i'm glad they're reading the book and making the attempt with the usual high school humor).
My favorite is Jones. Man, he is so damn funny with his side comments.

If suicide is the answer? What was the question?
+MrOphachew he had a rough life....I guess the question was ''what are you going to do with yourself''
+EmpressMileena 2016 --I read it. And loved it. I'm a fellow big guy. I also liked Nero Wolf.
The question is, “How do I go on when I’ve failed everyone who ever counted on me and I have nothing more to give?” It’s an obvious question for deeply compassionate, suffering people.
Grew up down the st. from him? So you were 9 years old when he killed himself.

suicide is not the answer, unless the question is "how do i get published?"
That’s a pretty petty comment, and an inaccurate one, in this circumstance. After his death, it took Toole’s crazy mother 10 years to get that book published. It was even more difficult because the author was unable to contribute any updates, or mull over editorial suggestions.
…As if publication would matter when one doesn’t exist anymore.
