- After a few years I decided to bring back the “T90 Trolls” series where I try wacky strategies against viewers. The challenge here is… no military, only walls, and wonder victory!

T90 Troll idea: Parkinson Play
Background: You are in your old age and you still enjoy playing AOE2, but Parkinson makes you click more than you want.
Rule: Every time you want to build a building or produce a unit, you need to build/produce at least 2 of them.
Want to build a mining camp? You have to build 2. Want to make a mangonel? That's 2 for you. Castle drop? I hope you have 1300 stones in bank.
Would've been awesome if Chinese wonder was building a wall from one side of the map to the other.
What actually happens if a 2nd wonder if built by the same player? Will there be 2 timers, 1 attached to each wonder, or will there be a shared timer for both, meaning both have to be destroyed to not win, or is the 2nd wonder gonna do nothing, or something completely different?
OMG i used to do this strat unironically as a kid back on MSN gaming Zone XD my go to would be Koreans, Turks, or Spanish xD DE banned me after walling the map after my team quit tho, so I might still do it on Voobly
So farm villagers do drop previous resources, other ones lose them.. oh.

Witch page/window is the Monastery on? So, the Monastery is a non-military building. So, Monks are not military units. You could have taken the Relics.

I like the layout, but the top info bar is way too obstructive. It has so little info but covers up so much of the playable area.

It was really fun to see your perspective T90. Loosing that scout 100% lost me the game, I was so affraid that your army was coming, so I curled up in a ball untill it was too late. Tried to wonder-race you, but failed. Hadn't put anything into siege before noticing the walls, so took me a while to adapt 😂
Totally agree on the mining camp, that was a really bad placement... I blame my nerves 😅
I'm about 850 elo and exclusively play team-games, so 1v1 isn't my strong suit no matter the handicap 😂

One strategy is to use Mangonels to ground fire on the patches of forest to bypass some walls quickly. He didn't heavily fortify around the forest patches. The other problem was the pathfinding of the rams. The newly built rams took the long way around to the gaps in the wall to get to the other rams at the front. Realistically what you needed was upgraded siege rams with infantry loaded to speed up the rams to reach the wonder in time. And archers aiming at vills to prevent the vills from building more walls on the other side.
Totally agree about the onager-cut. I eas so stressed by the wonder timer that it didn't occur to me. My plan was to take the long way around as I thought his defence would be less there. As for siege rams - britons don't have those, so not an option.
I was expecting him to rush me, so my focus wasn't on offence untill he built the wonder, and I didn't know about the "no military"-part of the challenge :)
You get quite nervous when playing t90 I might ad. :)
@@fredrikerlandsson5091 Yeah that's understandable, you did pretty well all things considered. It was pretty difficult even with the no military factor considering that each wall is thousands of hitpoints to knock down and there were like twenty layers of them so the rams had so much to chew through. I'm actually surprised he managed to find that much stone in a 30 minute game. He leaned heavily on market to exchange for stone.
@@fredrikerlandsson5091 putting trash units (pikes) in a siege ram is always a good option, especially when you know you're going to siege a base. Once you see a threat to the rams just unload the infantry to deal with it or hold back the enemy units long enough until the rams do their job.
I think if you would have done it in this game you could have come very very close to the wonder! You were more than half way through after all.

Am I the only one having issues watching T90's POV of a match because of how alien the game UI looks in his setup? it makes it literally hard to watch for me 😆I keep looking up to see vill count or something and get frustrated at myself lol
I would love to see a troll game by anyone where they don’t upgrade units. Like, they can in the blacksmith, but can’t go from militia to man-at-arms. You have to stay at the base unit for each line. I’m sure it would just lead to feudal rush or knights, but I like to imagine regular archers in imp
He already has an episode where he is only allowed to make militia in t90 trolls. No upgrades.

Lets be honest: the whole housing part functinality in AoE just sucks. Also, to much eco micromanagement will result in less focus on battles and unit control.

interesting, I've been concentrating way too hard on building military at low elo when apparently just building walls could take me to at least 800 11
I'm very impressed on hof fast you are doing stuff and how good you are in handling all kinds of different things in parallel (I'm very bad at that). I just wonder, why you don't use auto reseeding, when you have the wood. It would save you so much time and focus, that you could use e.g. to put more focus on your scouts making trouble. I really don't get it.
I have a suggestion for a new t90 challenge for this series
90 pop max,can start producing units at start of 30 minute([T]hirtieth minute,[90]pop max)

Hey T90, you should never 'delete' walls by placing a gate like at 13:34 . Can you please try do do CBA gates in the future? If you don't know what that is ask Dave :D
Hi can someone help me with the HUD mod T90 using. I got the mod but the texts for hp, armor, attack, range etc are all showing in a brown-ish color. how to change it to white?
No even remotely a challenge. Do it against like a 1500+ and it might actually be hard

I think even if I was an even higher elo I would still fail because I would see these walls and would assume your challenge is to fat slob me, though then again you did not play vikings.
