After much preparation Kato (Jay Chou) reveals The Black Beatuy to Britt (Seth Rogen) and the two set off on their first night as vigilantes.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
In the 3D action-comedy The Green Hornet, Britt Reid (Seth Rogen) is the son of LA's most prominent and respected media magnate and perfectly happy to maintain a directionless existence on the party scene - until his father (Tom Wilkinson) mysteriously dies, leaving Britt his vast media empire. Striking an unlikely friendship with one of his father's more industrious and inventive employees, Kato (Jay Chou), they see their chance to do something meaningful for the first time in their lives: fight crime. To get close to the criminals, they come up with the perfect cover: they'll pose as criminals themselves. Protecting the law by breaking it, Britt becomes the vigilante The Green Hornet as he and Kato hit the streets. Using all his ingenuity and skill, Kato builds the ultimate in advanced retro weaponry, Black Beauty, an indestructible car equal parts firepower and horsepower. Rolling in a mobile fortress on wheels and striking the bad guys with Kato's clever gadgets, The Green Hornet and Kato quickly start making a name for themselves, and with the help of Britt's new secretary, Lenore Case (Cameron Diaz), they begin hunting down the man who controls LA's gritty underworld: Benjamin Chudnofsky (Christoph Waltz). But Chudnofsky has plans of his own: to swat down The Green Hornet once and for all. -

My dad loves this movie. As a kid he listened to the original radio show, and never understood why Kato was treated like a sidekick, when he was so much more badass than hornet.
The Hornet would be helpless without Kato. I've watched the film, and Kato did pretty much all of the heavy lifting works, The Hornet just have all of the materials needed.

Dark Rose it was a good movie much better than the crap we get from Fast and Furious series. This was actually funny and the characters were likeable. This would be awesome if the dead-pool writers/directors worked on it.

I just noticed that the worst about this movie is actually just Seth Rogen and not much else, because the Green Hornet is awesome. (Or rather: Kato, the gadgets and the villains are awesome.)

Extremely under-rated, but that’s usually the life of comedic superheroes. People like their Superheroes serious with comedy put in, not their Superheroes comedic with seriousness put in.

Fun Fact! The red car under the sheet is a 1937 Lincoln Zephyr, and was the original Black Beauty in the old Green Hornet serials, The Green Hornet (1940) and The Green Hornet Strikes Again! (1941)!
Here's what Seth Rogen had to say about it in the DVD commentary: "This Zephyr, that's the original Black Beauty from the original series. And that's a nod for big Green Hornet fans right there."

Probably the coolest movie car ever made.
I loved this movie when I saw it as a kid
I like the fact that this film subverts the whole comic book/superhero tropes. The main character is a selfish idiot who tried to act like Tom Cruise but really has no idea what he’s doing, the sidekick actually does more than him, and he has a parent who’s killed but he really doesn’t give a crap because of how much of a jerk he was. Honestly, I liked that Seth Rogen took a take like this, made it feel fresh. Underrated comedy and comic book film.

I’ve seen comments about Seth Rogen’s acting here. It also drew criticism from me at first until I realised he actually did a good job as the smarter and more quiet Mantis in the Kung Fu Panda movies. He was either miscast or needed better direction in Green Hornet.
