Thanks for watching my Paper Mario Origami King Gameplay and Walkthrough! I've played a lot of Paper Mario games, and I'm excited to be playing the latest entry on the Nintendo Switch! You may have seen a trailer or review, but this playthrough will feature my impressions, reactions, and commentary throughout 100% of the full game including the ending! TOAD TOWN'S IN TROUBLE
Mario and Luigi receive an invitation from Princess Peach to attend an origami festival and excitedly hurry to Toad Town…but something’s amiss. After investigating the eerily empty town, the duo finds a fearsome (and folded) Princess Peach-she’s been turned into origami by King Olly, self-proclaimed ruler of the Origami Kingdom! With five giant streamers under his control, King Olly binds Princess Peach’s Castle and transports it to a distant mountain as part of his plan to re-fold the world.
To take on these folded fiends, Mario will have to learn some new fighting skills. Face off with the Folded Soldiers in ring-based battles where you strategically line up enemies to maximize damage. Out of battle, Mario can use the arm-extending 1,000-Fold Arms ability in specific spots to interact with the landscape to pull, peel, hit, and more! Using the unique properties of paper, help Mario unfold new paths, explore vast environments, unlock the secret of an ancient ruin, brave the raging rapids, step out on stage, visit a string of islands, appear on a quiz show, and even participate in a mid-air battle!

Thanks for the updated ending. Creators did such a great job on character development. I miss Olivia and Bobby.
I miss her too, she always felt indebted to all her friends and felt useless but in reality without her mario couldn't have used any of the magic circles and would be doomed. Really love this paper mario game

Sad that bobby and Olivia both sacrificed themsevles just to make everything normal again
Just imagine how many times Zack's gone over these mini games and explaining the same thing over and over again just because a coin was missed or a Bath Math missed or so.

this was such a great game. so much fun to play, such a journey to go on. i really felt like i got to know all of the characters. i miss olivia and bobby.
Tbh I wanted to see Zack taking the picture at the photoshoot and getting the secret order in Shangri Spa with Birdo.

It is an amazing game! I haven't 100% completed it yet but I still love it! The King Olly fight is a test of endurance to be certain. Thanks Zack for doing this playthrough!

I think some missed the point of that secret ending. It’s still as heartbreaking.
Olivia and Olly aren’t back to life or whatever, these are just lifeless versions of them as the final for Toad’s origami castle.
I adored this ending and shed a tear at that secret ending. Just wish you could find it in the Toad village at the center where it’s located when you load up your game!
I felt the same. I was hoping that the origami master would bring Olivia back to life (and even, let's be crazy, that Olivia and her brother would live somewhere peacefully), but even if they seem smiling, they don't seem to move, which makes me fear that in fact, they aren't alive. I may admit that we can't be absolutely sure, but it seems that they are indeed lifeless.
Which is almost as heartbreaking as the normal ending, imo.
I just hoped that they could make an ending where they could live somewhere happily.
Or, as you propose, that we could find them somewhere in the toad village chatting or doing something else (drinking something at the coffe shop of Toad village, or even as an "easter egg", drinking somewhere at one of the secret cafés or the game that we have to discover with our confettis). That would have been perfect.
Which makes me feel even sadder when I replay the game, knowing how the end will be.
At the very beginning of the game, I may admit that I was a little bit annoyed by her naive side, but little after little through the adventure, this naive side has become more and more touching, in fact. We all should have a tiny piece of Olivia in ourselves...
Definitely a great game, anyway !

I had an idea for a DLC where Mario goes to a place based on that one area in The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker where Link found the Deku Tree, but now it would be Mario exploring the island and finding a new weapon which is a combination of the Master Sword and a hammer.

This is great! Finally an episode where Zack is getting all the puzzles right first try ( at least first in the video)!
Although having said that you do make the sudden death puzzle much harder than it needs to be.
Here are the three steps if I'm correct:
1: turn the outside ring 1 anticlockwise so the arrow inwards in Infront of you.
2: turn the next ring in around until the arrow in is pointing at the right place around the cannon.
3: hope you got the song lyric right!
You will go forward onto the second ring in, around that ring anticlockwise until you hit he arrow pointing inward, then onto the A,B,C,D spot.

You know I used to wonder what Mario did with all the coins he collects during his various adventures, but if the Toads are price gouging him it's little wonder why he appears to be flat broke every new game they come out with. Maybe they ought to do a game in which Wario steals all of Mario's coins, the same time Bowser abducts Peach. Then you have to play as both Mario and Luigi, Luigi fights Wario to get their money back. While Mario has to spend the money to go around and save Peach.
The Shy Guys Finish Last Perfect game took my half the day.

Bad news for you, Zack, you missed the 102% ending permanently. To get it, you are not allowed to get a single game over, and you're not allowed to buy a single accessory. You are allowed to equip those accessories after getting 102% ending as well though. Maybe more PMTOK videos?

Everyone makes silly mistakes and gets a Game Over every once in a while. Whether Shy Guys Finish Last, or falling into lava in Hotfoot Crater by accident. The only thing that matters is trying not to get one and if you do, that's okay.
They shouldn't have made that 102% ending. Besides, battle accessories are necessary for doing some damage on bosses and spinning some rings.
