    I've had this bike in matte black since the end of June and it has been superb. Seriously considered the SL5 but it's my first road bike and full carbon felt like overkill. The 105 groupset is phenomenal and the hydraulic disc brakes are extremely strong. I have a 58 at 6'1 with a 90cm inseam and it is c-o-m-f-y. I've actually lowered the stem a touch to make it slightly more sporty. The carbon fork is very compliant over rough surfaces. I've had a lot of interest in the bike because of the way it looks, with many assuming it is more expensive than it is. The internal cable routing really adds to the premium aesthetics and my experienced and well equipped LBS consider it a non-issue for servicing in the future.

    "I don't care anymore about carbon, it's fine." so true! 😂the most over-rated frame material ever.

    I'm considering this bike , I know the internal cables are a PITA for mechanics and of course would increase workshop costs , but all my current bikes have external cables and they can interfere with bar bags and vice versa - i.e. a loaded bar bag can bear down on the xternal cabling . Great review - thx .

      Thank you for watching and leaving your feedback, my friend. Yes, the externally routed cables can be a pain when it comes to mounting bags. I much prefer the internally routed design.
      And, since Brandon does a majority of my maintenance, I don't mind if it's a PITA, lol.
      Thank again for the support and adventure safely.

    I love the bronze accents it’s what sold the lichen green instead of the black and white that I was going for.

    Hi I’m little confused on this model
    Because I have treck domaine Al 2024
    There black, red,grey
    In treck web side msrp 3.5 k
    But this model you are review it 1.5 k more cheaper
    What is the difference
    Are is comparable between this models
    Can you explain the real difference ?
    Thanks in advance

    • @GetOutArizona
      @GetOutArizona  9 днів тому

      Do you mean the SL5? Because the SL5 is $3499. The AL models start at $1199 for the AL2 and top at $1999 for the AL5.
      The major difference between the two models is the frame material. The SL is carbon, and the AL is aluminum. Other than that they are spec'd pretty darn close.
      I hope this answers your question, my friend. If not, let me know, and I will try to do better.

    I bought this and I still ride the same speed as my much lighter Fuji Roubaix that costed 1/4 of the price. Its much better bike, but the weight makes it not go faster than a cheaper bike. In case that is important for you. But I guess you dont buy this for speed anyway.

    Bought this same model bike a month ago. So far really liking it. And curious about its potential as a gravel bike with bigger tires. I figured it was streets only & didn’t want to damage it

      @GetOutArizona  18 днів тому

      Oh no, my friend, the Domane crushes it on the gravel. Thanks for watching and adding to the conversation. If you take her off-road, let us know how it works for you.

    Why Trek refuse to use higher end alu like the ALR on Domane? They only used it on Emonda

    • @GetOutArizona
      @GetOutArizona  4 місяці тому

      That’s a good question. My hypothesis would be they wanted to try to keep the price point as low as possible. Also, have that as a deciding factor for someone to choose the AL over the SL.
      Thanks for taking the time to watch and add to the conversation, my friend. Both are sincerely appreciated.

    What is the max speed?

    • @GetOutArizona
      @GetOutArizona  3 місяці тому +3

      I don't understand your question. On the one hand, the maximum speed would be as fast as you can travel. If you are referring to the maximum speed the bike can tolerate, Trek has no available data. This is an intriguing question, though. Thank you for watching and taking the time to ask.

      depends how much HP/TORQUE engine your bike has (engine referring to your self)

    • @StuMarston
      @StuMarston 2 місяці тому +5

      I have this bike and the speed depends on conditions. If I'm on flat road surfaces with no wind I can get it up to about 18 mph. But if I throw it off my brother's apartment balcony, I can get it up to about 55 mph.

      On serious note good wheel/tire can roll prett damn fast. If you got Walmart wheel/tire set with top of the line on other components would kill you because wheel set sucks ass but if you got top tier wheel/tire set with metal Walmart bike? Can probably handle high speed just fine.

      @@StuMarston Are you using the standard formula velocity = -9.81 m/s^2 * time to calculate that velocity? Just kidding, Stu, I thought your comment was funny. Thank you for adding to the conversation.

    For$ 2000.00 it deserves to have at least a carbon fork like other similar bikes.
