Still rockin it out, sounds and looks great .. Rock on Man 🤘😎
That base riff is SO cool👍
Love his voice. This is a song for the ages.
Rock on David. Such a timeless classic.
Classic Essex! Still superb 50 years on! :)
I think he’s aged quite well to be honest, some people say he’s singing out of tune but no one can sing as good as they did in their younger days so I think he sounds really good 👍
This takes me back to 74. I first heard this on my transistor radio 12 y old.
David Essex still Rocks On ... love this song.
My Lord your still a handsome buggar❤️
He's, still got a great voice for his age ive always liked him since i was 15 in 1973 went to the pictures saw both of his films that will be the day and stardust and seen him live 3 times once in Ipswich and twice in Cambridge he is absolutely amazing a fantastic singer and actor too
I'm 43 a d have been to every concert since the age of 8 ,LOVE YOU DAVID
hip hop kid here grew up on Wu-tang Clan.. heard this in Devils Rejects back in the day and fell immediately in love with it!
He still sound good. I'm amazed.
Still Rockin On!! 👊👊👊
He has stood the test of time Brilliantly..🕊🍃
Just seen this video seems quite strange to see david Essex as a old man singing rock on from the 19 70s still sounds good though bless him and a good career still Where does time go?
Saw him in 74 now he is 74
He looks like a proper English gentleman in his waistcoat
@@jessiem276 a vest is what an English gentleman wears underneath his shirt in winter time.
Still awesome
Good live music and still a good and sexy voice !
And where do we go from here? Rock on!
Nice one!
Bless his heart; he gave it his best.
Forgive my unpopular opinion, but I can’t imagine being 70 years old singing the songs I wrote nearly 50 years ago just to make a buck. He isn’t doing it because he loves music, he is performing because he needs the money. That has to suck.
He may have money, but to maintain that life he has to stay working, riding from city to city, sleeping in hotels, doing sound checks and performing the same song list each night, at 70 years old.
I love my job and am good at what I do. But I have managed my money well enough that in 6 years I never have to strike an arc or fabricate another piece of metal. I plan to do all the things I wanted to do while I had to work. Let the young bucks do the work for a change. No reason to keep working at 70, its time to enjoy life
@@Liverking77 I said in the beginning its probably an unpopular opinion; but I stand by it. I listened to the song once again, and it was quite sad.
But, that’s nothing against Dave; he was a great musician back in the day. Getting old isn’t fun. I don’t know how old you are, but there is going to come a time when you look back and remember how good you were at one time and wish you could go back.
I was a great fabricator at one time. A lot of the Heavy Haulers I built back in the 1990s that are still being used today. But, as I get older I start losing my sight, my strength and my mind (what’s left of it) I would be doing a disservice to my clients if I started doing half-assed work.
And that’s my point, old age doesn’t discriminate. And its not just David Essex I feel has lost his magic. I heard Foreigner perform recently with Lou Gramm back on vocals, it was tragic. I can name many more, but you get my point. It may not be a popular opinion, but its simply my opinion.
👍👍👍👍
He went from being a total young babe to a total older babe!
i dunno if this one stood the test of time.
All I could think of the whole time is he looks like Jeremy Wade from River Monsters....and instead of saying "Rock on" I was singing "Fish On!" LOLOLOLOL
Just had to google who that was, never heard of him or the programme! :D
OMG! Wtf happened to him?! that nimbly faced little boy?! Who's this college-professor looking dude?
David Essex still sounds great
