- Charles and Camilla travelled to Jersey as part of their first visit to the Channel Islands - which are Crown Dependencies off the north-west coast of France - since the King acceded to the throne. The couple kicked off their tour by attending a special sitting of the States Assembly and the Royal Court. The crowd braved heavy showers and roared as the and King and Queen arrived in a purple Bentley. Report by Matthew Covell.

Why would the King Charles send William? He is there to mark his first visit to the Channel Islands since becoming King. Thankfully you are not King Charles, you're just some random person like the rest of us commenting on a RF fan channel.

His Grace the Duke of Normandy (and her Grace the Duchess too) both look in very good form.
She is not the Duchess of Normandy. Charles is referred to as "The Duke of Normandy, our King", or "The King, our Duke". You must have king within that title somewhere. Just like before it was "the Duke of Normandy, our Queen" in reference to QEII.
@@Hopefully.2024 My allusion ( a little irreverently) is to “The Gondoliers” - I omitted any reference to “his Grace’s own particular private drum” or to his “suite”. Yes, of course, you are correct - while, historically, the claim of the Crown to Jersey dates back to the time when it formed part of the Duchy of Normandy, in fact, the King is still referred to there as “Your Majesty” rather than just “Your Grace” and he appears on the coins as “King Charles III” and not just as “Duke Charles”.

The Duke of Normandy visiting part of his ancestral home although it's the Crown that has the direct connection. The Monarch always the Duke whether King or Queen, as with always being the Duke of Lancaster.

The title 'Duke of Normandy' is not used in formal government publications, and, as a matter of Channel Islands law, does not exist

What exactly do you think you are doing besides be irritating and disrespectful?
1) You are singing "America the beautiful" which has nothing to do with us. This is a British fan channel for the British Royal family.
2) You heard "God save the King" and instead of respecting OUR national anthem you sang "America the beautiful" thinking that was the same melody when in fact it's not.
3) Colonists came up with "My Country Tis of Thee" took the music from "God Save The King" and change the lyrics during the American Revolution, you know that pesky war where America won their freedom from the crown and thousands of men were killed?
You should probably go over to the American Royal Family channel where you can be free to sing American anti-British songs so you can feel American all the time and not insult us.
