It is the kind of environment that is nice to play in / read about but in the same way a nightmare can be pleasant. The whole point of cyberpunk is to be a warning for generations to come, not to be enticing. Cyberpunk exemplifies the utter failure of the human race.
Everything is privatized and everything that happens does so at the whim of monetary interests. Life itself becomes an object to deconstruct, engineer and sell. War is made by mercenaries and machines pledging themselves to the highest bidder. It is an ultrafast world without mercy, which is fine when you take it as a work of art, but I would hate to see my children being sold on the organ market for cyborgs when they can't pay their bills.
What's more... In a CP environment the heroes are usually fighting against it to try to save nature, destroy the corporate power and save humanity from being cattle tracked and bred to consume
a virus, technology, global social issues, a dying environment, corporations ruling the world, politicians talking, damn we are not that far from a cyberpunk novel

This is more machine like. Doom is more fleshy. Its music needs to appeal to your guts - hence metal.
This is good, and would fit a fast FPS kind of game - but definitely not Doom IMO
