Ephesians 2:1-5 (ESV)
"1 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience- 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ-by grace you have been saved-"
My Drs, home health nurses and the hospital pharmacists asked me if I would do a newsletter or letter about what's going on medically with me. I started working on the newsletter a half hour ago and instead of focusing on medical things I want to focus on god's mercy and grace. When you prayed before you started you're words and this message is in part the answer to what I was praying about before I started my IV meds. Thank you so much Peter. When God gave you the Words and the message, they came at the perfect time. I don't deserve God's Grace and I'm so very grateful and blessed.

Beautiful!!! This so jives with a ministry that I love. It's called Kairos. It is a prison ministry and has included an outside ministry to work with women whose lives are impacted by the incarceration of a loved one or friend. I have seen Christ take lives that were not good at all, lives filled with drugs and evil and change them and give them life. The people that do this ministry? Drug addicts, former prisoners, people like me who ran as far from Christ as they could get, the hopeless who now have life and hope. It is definitely not about making the good better but taking sinners and making them whole and giving them life, life more abundant.

Thank You so much for starting these daily devotional Bible studies...I can relate to this one today. I believed before but this summer I started listening to a live broadcast on Facebook of a local church and started attending that church in early September, and I have been going ever since and feel so much more drawn to God and my life has been so much better ever since!! I thank God that I, who was dead in trespasses and sins, am ALIVE IN CHRIST! How deep the Father's love for us, how vast beyond all measure, that He would give His only Son to make a wretch His treasure! I was redeemed before the foundation of the earth but I was 17 when I was made alive in Christ. That was in 1981, and I couldn't even begin to tell you what God has brought me through! Thank You oh my Father for giving us Your Son, and leaving your Spirit 'till the work on earth is done.

Holding onto God's Grace is the most important thing for me, I can slip back into feeling unworthy of God's love and all that I don't do right. Yet, again His Grace was freely given with unmerited favor and love forever to me. I just need to realize I'm alive in Him, nothing I have done or haven't done changes this.
