Kim gets addicted to Los Pollos Hermanos, becomes morbidly obese and almost dies of a heart attack which leaves her in a coma throughout all of Breaking Bad
She is going to wake up from her coma and follow Gene to Omaha and personally saves Gene’s failing Cinnabon with her addiction transference .
Ansel & Penelope Rainblossom-Smith good thing too because if Gene’s timeline catches up to 2020 COVID19 probably gonna bankrupt most all the mall stores

I feel like if Kim dies due to any reason related to the cartel, Jimmy wouldn't be able to live with it.. He lives for her. Jimmy is kinda carefree and seems happy in Breaking bad, doesn't seem like Kim will die.
I agree. It seems that during BB he isn't dealing with her death. Either he's just moving on with his life after they part ways, or possibly they're still together, but I highly doubt that. I think Jimmy is starting to feel bad that he brought Kim into his slipping Jimmy world, so he'll break up with her. It would continue on the theme that Jimmy ruins everything and everybody he touches, which Chuck said to Jimmy
i agree with you also. i think the only reason jimmy will commit entirely to his new career is if jimmy part ways with kim in a bad way, a way in which jimmy ends up hating kim. that would lead him to hate the only good that was left in his life. with nothing holding him back, cartel work neither good or bad.
I agree but if kim is still with Jimmy in BB, then i don't think he'll go as far as he did in BB. the only way I think it would make sense is if jimmy end up hating kim for some reason and jimmy decides to screw it and fully embrace the worse parts of himself

So if everybody agrees that if kim dies, jimmy wouldn't be able to live it with it, does that mean that after jimmy "kills" himself or is "killed" by the pure agony of watching Kim die, Saul Goodman truly takes over for good? I think that would be exactly the jump that would make the personality change into breaking bad believable.

@@iambored180499 Kim seems to be exposed to the cartel that might put her in a dangerous situation like Jimmy in the desert. I'm sure Jimmy knows this and will do what he can to protect Kim knowing that the cartel will try to use her too.

I highly doubt that Jimmy would leave Kim because she’s “too far gone.” It’s more likely that he’ll leave her because he feels like too much of a bad influence.
Yeah, all those ways they thought about ruining Howard made Jimmy realize he no longer recognizes Kim. Especially when she gave hime the slipping jimmy gunshot gesture.

Kim's exposure to Jimmy's amorality brought out her repressed rebelliousness, in the same way that Walter White's repressed egoism was unleashed by exposure to Jesse's amoral universe. An originally moral character exceeding the amoral actions of an amoral partner seems a Vince Gilligan motif. Like when Walter entered Jesse's world, I expect tragic repuccussions coming Kim's way for entering Jimmy's world and then exceeding his amoralty.

In light of Jimmy and Kim's new plan to destroy Howard's life, this is the most important quote in the entire series for predicting the future. The plan is going to end up destroying everybody, including Kim.
I mean Chuck literally says it just before his death. No way they didn't think that through hard before including it in the show.

It’s one of the most blatant foreshadowing by the writers.
They specifically tell the audience what’s going to happen in the end (big picture).
I mean we already know where everything is headed from bb and black white post bb scenes, including Jimmy’s complete transformation/downfall.
But the show keeps audience guessing hoping for some different outcome by making them lose sight of the obvious, which is really hard to do.
Just fantastic writing.
In the "End" Jimmy is surrounded by nothing but criminals - perhaps those are the ones Jimmy is going to hurt. Since Kim isn't in Breaking Bad - she hopefully won't be among those who are "around" him.
There's def gonna be an episode entitled Breaking Bad in the final season.

I honestly don't think Kim will die at this point. She's too far gone I think she's in some sort of a trance with Jimmy and she's in for a rude awakening. I'm more inclined to believe that she will be the one to suffer the consequences of both her and Jimmy's actions(whatever they plan to do to Howard) and that will forever haunt Jimmy and obviously that would complete the prophecy that Chuck foretold about jimmy ruining lives of the people he loves most.

She begs Jimmy to please let her do this(taking the fall). Then we get to Breaking Bad where Kim is already in prison when we get to the events in Breaking Bad.
I think she's going to go to prison as a result of this thing she's dead set on doing against Howard now.

That would be a hell of a twist, and the writers like misdirection, so this would have a pretty good chance of happening, especially if Kim has gone to the dark side.

Honestly I’ll be really disappointed if they kill Kim off or use Ed again. Their writing is too good and they’ve built Kim’s character too much to send her off in a cheap way. I think they’re aware of this though and I don’t think they’ll let the fans down.

Very possible though. They could just fake a phone conversation without you ever hearing his voice or seeing his face. But still a cheap cop out.
What else can the writers do here? Kim is not mentioned at all during breaking bad so I feel like the only explanation has to be she either disaapeared via ed or died. It does not seem realistic that they broke up and never talked again.
My one thought of how Kim can still be around but not in Jimmy's day to day life is she becomes the "friend of the cartel." First, Kim's the only person we've seen talk Lalo out of doing something and she doesn't schmooze him, she flat out tells him his house is a mess and Jimmy isn't his problem. Not taking a sycophantic approach with him might convince Lalo that she's the lawyer he/Don Eladio needs, especially now that he's going after his own people with Nacho.
Second, Kim could see this as the Machiavellian bargain she needs to make a lot of money to fund her pro bono work. Her cartel work would be on the up and up, sort of, so her conscience, such as it is at this point, would be clear. And if she's willing to destroy Howard, what's a little cartel work? She and Jimmy could still be married but estranged in the BB timeline, but Kim spends most of her time not in Albuquerque. I think there was a mention that Lalo had been in San Diego before coming to Albuquerque, so whatever ends up spooking Saul in 2008 where he blames "Ignacio" for whatever's going on and asks about Lalo, could be happening away from ABQ. If Kim's still alive and working with Lalo and the cartel she could also be the reason why Jimmy's still able to work in ABQ.
Finally, Kim completely going over to the dark side could be the final straw that turns season 5 Jimmy/Saul into the Breaking Bad Saul. He's already feeling guilty about corrupting Kim on a small scale, but if she finally breaks free and becomes "successful" by indulging her darkest impulses because of all the ways Jimmy chipped away at her morals and ethics that would confirm Chuck's warning that he'll destroy everyone he loves, finally killing the Jimmy we met in the first season of BCS.

I just really like the idea of kim being the rational force that keeps jimmy grounded throughout the show and then in the last season, the roles reverse and it's jimmy who turns around and brings kim back from her building corruption

Kim will live through the BB timeline and run Ice Station Zebra Associates. I believe she’ll be the cartels’ lawyer to save Jimmy from Lalo.

The awful thing about this whole series and season 6 is that we have to w8 +year for that😱😱😭😭😭. Mannnn that is gonna be hard.
My theory is that Kim used Ed the Disappearer not to get away from the police but to get away from the Cartel. I could see Lalo being impressed by her and hiring her. She ends up double-crossing him, resulting in his death, but this is unknown to her and Jimmy. Jimmy maintains the pretense that Kim's out of his life to protect her. Ed sends Saul to Omaha because he knows that Kim is there although Saul doesn't know that.
If Lalo’s death is Kim’s fault, that’d blow my mind. Thing is, jimmy still thinks that Lalo is alive during his introduction episode in brba.
Maybe Howard kills himself after his debacle at the hands of Kim and Saul. I also remember this line from Granite State: "Nebraska... What's in Nebraska?" Maybe not just Gene.

Kim ends up the Cartels lead council. Bet. When Kim was asked what she wanted in her interview, she simply answered "More". Then she stepped up to Lalo and told him to get his house in order, while showing Lalo she understood his tenable position if he had Saul going to pick the money up. That's the sort of thinking and attitude Lalo would respect.
Lastly, Vince Gilligan said BCS is his last trip to the BB universe, but that if he were to go back the only story he would want to tell is Kim's because "that would be very interesting"

i mostly read the genre dramedy on this series. i guess that means half comedy half tragedy. i think she will leave him to make a new start somewhere else. or he will leave her because he knows hes not good for her.

Honestly Kiwi, if you have a backlog of content you want to get out, I don’t think any of us would object to a few videos that are podcast style with a still image. Either way, keep up the awesome content.
There’s a line of dialogue in Breaking Bad that everyone missed. “last quote I got for the deluxe was $125,000” this means that Saul has already “disappeared” someone before BB started. So It’s either Nacho or Kim. My bet is that it’s Nacho. Kim on the other hand, I think will end up being not just involved, but the main orchestrator of the events in Breaking Bad, (as a key employee of Madrical). Saul most likely will become afraid of her and start doing whatever she says. I think the conclusion will be Kim coming after Jimmy/Gene, with the intention of “silencing” him. I just think Kim’s arc, is aiming towards her being the ultimate example of someone “Breaking Bad”.

i feel like they’re going to leave us on a crazy cliff hanger at the end of episode 11 of season 6 then show a whole gene episode the following week then finish off what happened in the regular timeline but still showing the black and white parts
I don't think I've ever been more attracted to a television character than Kim Wexler.
It's so obvious - she gets so wrapped up in trying to take down Howard Hamlin (as hinted to at the end of S5) she ends up struck off and is in prison.
There's a deleted Breaking Bad scene in which Saul talks about his 3 wives when Walt is going through his separation
I was wondering where the 3 wives thing came from, I’ve seen that before but forgot. My few clips at the end of the video were in reference to it.
Any/all dialogue about Saul’s wives in brba was unintentional at the time, but adding this piece of info possibly confirms that he divorces her by brba.
Since it’s deleted, I’d wanna day that maybe they cut it for a reason, but it’s coincidental that it’s cut.
I’m not sure if cut scenes are cannon, but the woman in the BTS BCS video did say “3 wives,” so they’re treating it as such.

She takes off to start a new identity. Makes total sense that Saul knew so much about the process since we're very close to the BB timeline now.
Jimmy will definitely break up with Kim. He'll do it to protect her from something.

18:51 Has anybody interpreted the symbolism in this hotel room scene? The alcove, symmetrical layout of vases, pictures and lighting, beds; something of a temple or Egyptian tomb feel to it but I can't read it well enough to say what it means. The death of their relationship?
Through the previous episodes they were always facing each other, often with someone or something in the middle. In the hotel room, they end up in the same side with the empty bed on the other. I think this is significant but not sure what it means exactly. Note the room number is likely 608, which is 50% ( episode 2) of 1216.
And also the hotel name is Eva 👀
@@michaelpromislow844 --which is one after the Magna Carta... And they're both on the left side. Kim was balancing Jimmy toward the good, but now they're both on the left hand path and Kim further toward the dark side than Jimmy. Or, maybe it's just a hotel room.
I know it will end as Jimmy being gene watching her from a distance as she gets home to her huge house. And right before he approached her family comes out her kids and husband Jimmy sees how happy she is and what she has it breaks him and he walks away ready to turn himself in and finally accept the consquences of his actions.
There is some kind of Kim connection in Breaking bad when Saul tells Badger to have a check made out to Ice Station Zero, which was mentioned in Better call Saul between Saul and KIm watching that ,movie

I liked your point about how the writters may not double down on a concept that they already tried with the Jimmy-Kim relationship (threatened their jobs, their lives, their relationship). Two possible outcomes I can see out of it is either 1.- Jimmy bails on Kim or 2.- Kim fucks over Jimmy so bad he becomes the way he is on BB.

Has anyone mentioned that Kim is from Red Cloud, Neb, home of a great writer, Willa Cather? One of Cather’s greatest novels was Death Comes for the Archbishop, set in early New Mexico territory. This has to come up, as surely as Ice Station Zebra.

Watching Breaking Bad, and seeing how Vince Gilligan used small innocuous scenes that turned out to be major clues to plot twists in following episodes and seasons,... something always stuck with me about Season 5 Episode 1 "Magic Man" where Kim tricks her client "Bobby" into a plea deal when he really want's to go to trial. Both Jimmy and Kim are shocked at the fact that her client won't jump at the sweetheart deal, but no one every questions why the DA offered a sweetheart deal in the first place? Did they not have enough evidence? their evidence got tossed? Instead of going to trial offer them a sweetheart deal knowing that any rational person will jump at it. My prediction is that Bobby will find all this out while he's serving time and take his revenge out on Kim, one for conning him and two for not following his request to take it to trial.
Everyone assumes that Kim's demise will revolve around Lalo / Nacho and the Cartels, but that's way too predictable, and Vince never writes predictable, and that's what made Breaking Bad and Saul so good.
I absolutely love BCS and the writers are obviously the best doing TV right now, but there is so much they have to do next season. Gus Fring’s BCS arc I feel is not even close to being over and there’s so much about his past they’ve eluded too but don’t tell us. Kim’s past also needs to be explained next season, and I would love for them to go a little more in depth about Lalo. It’s a shame they spent so much time on the Chuck/ Jimmy relationship in the first 3 seasons and didn’t touch on Lalo, Kim, Howard, or Gus.
I can sympathize with this too. My biggest question is given everything that needs to be wrapped up in 12 episodes, with the assumption the finale is dedicated to Cinnabon, is why does Gene have nostalgia for being Saul Goodman. If getting the strip mall and becoming successful came at the price of losing Kim, this doesn't really compute for me. She has been the consistent bright part in his struggle to the top and as we saw at the tail end of season 5 has become his most chief motivation after getting out of the desert and being fearful for her safety. If Better Call Saul were strictly its own show, I'd say this is an easy solution. Kim and Saul open the strip mall together and they work together as a duo traversing the underworld until Heisenberg comes in. But, given Saul's behavior in Breaking Bad it doesn't seem on the surface that Kim is in the picture so its a very confusing and difficult obstacle to navigate through. I do not envy the writers, but ultimately this is a creature of their own creation, they have consciously decided to make Kim such a large presence in the show despite knowing from the beginning the man Saul needs to become by the close of the prequel timeline.
It does feel like they need to play catch up a lot as far as the timeline goes, it’s felt like that since seasons 3-4 as well.

I don't have any theories about what happens to Kim except that I do not think she will end up with Lalo! I do think their legal arrangement to avoid testifying against each other will figure in in some way.
Lawyers have a way of saying things that they can later say 'i told the truth' when really they hid the truth. So the writers of Better Call Saul could conveniently suggest that a lawyer like Saul would quite probably say to people 'I've been married three times' or 'I've had three marriages' and later say " I never said I was divorced three times.' Also, Jimmy and Kimmy are no longer working behind each other's back like in previous seasons. Instead they are in cohoots. Jimmy is telling Kim all and she is no longer with Shweikart and Cokely, so they are working together and they are very smart and they're both lawyers, so in all the mess that's probably going to happen next season, they could quite possibly have contingency plans ahead of time to deal with such things. I also find it a little unlikely for Kim to ditch Jimmy now when the whole last season supports the idea that she is sticking with Jimmy/Saul for better or worse (mostly worse :). I'm going with Saul has a secret wife hidden from Breaking Bad, though Kim would obviously know a lot more than that would imply.
Solid analysis!
While reading this I'm reminded of the part in Breaking Bad where Skylar has become aware of how Walt was making money and wants to take care of the money laundering and Saul is constantly trying to minimise her involvement. There could be something in that. He's learnt from the last quarter of BCS season 5 that the more discrete any involvement from family can be the better. Less moving parts = a smoother functioning machine.
Something nobody talks about is how Jimmy meets the Repair Man who is even more secretive than Gus. I think he dissappears kim or tries to with the Vacuum man or is directly connected to her. Especially if Lalo is coming after her. Jimmy also knows that Ignacio (nacho) was the one that betrayed Lalo. Mike only tells him that Lalo will be taken care of and we know Nacho is not in BrBa, so how Jimmy learns about Ignacio/Nacho being the betrayer is something we've yet to see. However, Lalo knows Jimmy and has met Kim. I don't think Kim dies but Jimmy sends her away with the Vacuum man.
It would help if we knew when the writers decided what happens to Kim. If they knew prior to season 5 then we'd have that whole season to analyze possible clues which would lead up to savoir quelle sera sa fin. If they decided before season 5's penultimate episode, then we have only two episodes to scrutinize. Just like the "it wasn't me, it was Ignacio, he's the one! clue will be revealed, clues as to Kim's outcome are inevitable, depending on when her ending was decided.
The facade Saul is putting on at the parking lot 11:48 is for Francesca..since Francesca is one of the few people that knew about him & Kim thus he need to convince her that Kim is no longer in his life..maybe he truly is protecting Kim

I have a feeling Kim will be there at the very end of the "Gene" section. She's definitely not dead. That would piss off too many fans. The birthday phone call was set up because Kim had to "disappear" first, and that's their way to make sure the other is still alive (and why she's never even referenced in BB). And since Jimmy has to now go on the run, he needs Francesca to answer the next call and give his new number to Kim.
On the other hand, in the mother series Jimmy/Saul wouldn't be so happy if Kim was dead, would he?
They can explain his interaction with his secretary by him noticing Jesse was out front and thinking it’s Lalo’s men and keeping up a ruse that Kim is dead or Sail keeps them under the impression he has no idea where he is. So just in case this strange new client (Jessie) was working for the cartel Saul has keep up this ruse.

I think It was last season, when they show the flash forward to Saul in his office with Francesca and he gives her a card and says “tell her jimmy sent you”. Maybe she is practicing somewhere else under new name. Only thing was would make this theory wrong. Is that Francesca worked for jimmy and Kim so even if Kim is practicing under a new name , she would still recognize her from the past

My guess is Kim is Howard`s half sister. Old man Hamlin had a second family in Nebraska and Kim is his illegitimate offspring. That`s why she`s attracted to a con-man and also why she was hired by his law firm and had her studies paid by them. Bad conscience led either the father or the son to do something to "help her". That would also explain her pride and eagerness for proving her worth.

After a major fallout of some kind, she moves away to start a new life. Several years forward, ex Cinnamon bon manager Saul had to leave his new, set up life and move on because he was recognized. Since he has nowhere else to go, he'll finally end up on Kim's doorstep. Her opening the door will be the final scene of BCS.

Jeff the cab driver's ex from ABQ is Kim. After the Jimmy/Kim split, he gets with Kim. The season 4/5 Gene plotline is just some guy messing with his ex's ex.

I just hope that the writers don't screw up the ending of this series. It really needs to be believable. She is such an important character for the series that it would be a complete disservice.
I would have to say the best route would be the "wife in hiding" route who is also with Gene in Nebraska. It gives way more options for any other work they may do with the story. The other routes seem pretty stereotypical and that has never been the style of these writers.

what if mike told jimmy that someone was about to kidnap him, told him to get francesca out of there. so jimmy flirted with her to get her to go home quicker. then since walter and jesse didnt end up harming saul mike didnt have to intervene

She either is still alive and still with saul cuz like they've said we only knew saul when he was at work in brba or she gets caught up scamming someone and loses her law degree and blames Saul and moves away

Biggest theory is that when they wrote breaking bad she was never written into a side characters back story, I'm guessing they had to have had a plan for her since season 1 of better call saul and we just have to wait for it to play out, I think she's in hiding and we will get a cameo from the vacuum man in season 6

I think they'll pit her Against Saul by having Lalo find, persuade, and flip her to work the cartel- Which she does, breaking bad- until they try to Kill Saul which would cause her to mentally break. Then she locates vacuum cleaner man and disappears and we get an end scene cameo of her in a Another Mall mirroring his new persona or doing pro bono work in a random place in disguise. So in the in between she was in Mexico or cartel witness protection of sorts as you stated. Any which way, it will be excited to watch they've done well with this show. Very well.
The problem with this is that Lalo has no reason to believe either Kim or Saul were involved in the attack on the Casa. He did notice Nacho was absent so that path would naturally take him in Gus' direction.

That's because in both cases they were both from Nebraska. Gene is in Omaha which is only a couple 100 miles from Kansas City. And Red Cloud which is where Kim grew up is about four hours from Kansas City. In both cases Kansas City would technically be the closest Major League Baseball team. That doesn't surprise me that they would both have Kansas City Royals merchandise. And it doesn't show me any insider information. It only shows me that their location is being referred to in a very realistic way. Plus knowing that color is so important in this show especially the color blue Vince Gilligan found that the Royals happen to use blue as their color and it just happened to fit. In fact when the New Mexico newspaper asked why the Royals jersey was used for Kim. His response was a non-responsive, We are aware, and we were deliberate in choosing that, and you will come to find out why.
Would love if kim got busted for switching the mesa verde blue prints cause there is a camera right above her.

My theory is that Kim and Jimmy get caught and confronted by Howard, Jimmy admits to Howard that it was Jimmy who caused the problem with the insurance in season 3 episode 7 and Kim is so upset that Jimmy pulled the plug on her scam and she dumps him
My personal theory is that the “scam” they are about to do is going to go bad and bc Kim is the one pushing, she ultimately sacrifices herself and gets prison time. She begs Jimmy to please let her do this(taking the fall). Then we get to Breaking Bad where Kim is already in prison when we get to the events in Breaking Bad.

A Jessie cameo on Better Call Saul you ask? How about a long haired Jesse playing the drums with his band singing that song "Fallacies" at some kind of bar or event. Hah!
At this stage, after S6 E04, I cannot see that Gene reunites with her. The "fast forward" scenes of Gene depict a depressed and reclusive person who is sulking over a life he once loved. He is seemingly paranoid that it takes a physical toll on him.
Kim seems to be pursuing something that remains true to her heart. I think that what she is doing right now (becoming Slipping Kimmy) is a diversion towards her ultimate goal to give professional legal counsel to those in need and without the means to readily access it. She still holds to this as she stands up for the people who are wronged by Craig and Betsy. Kim shows that she still has a deeply rooted moral compass amidst breaking bad for the sake of the Sandpiper settlement. I think that once this is achieved, she will ditch Jimmy under the grounds that their marriage was never real and will be revoked. She'll get what she wants out of this and hit the highway where she can continue to stand on the right side without the colourful shenanigans of Saul and a sordid time of protecting him (and herself) during their schemes.
So much of what we have seen is integral to her character development and the flashback with her mother picking her up late from school in favour of having drinks instead left those resounding words, "you never listen." She will always do her own thing, even if her agenda is not known to anyone but herself. When her mind is made up, she cannot be swayed otherwise. She has controlled the relationship with Jimmy in keeping him on a leash for full control - evidenced through the time that Howard commissioned her to Doc Review and she worked days and nights without a moment's attention on Jimmy who made repeated attempts to "save" her. She is aware that she would always have to put her goals on pause to save him from himself. This is not something she is intent on sustaining. It has already cost her.
She is using Jimmy. When the time is right, she'll be gone, and we're not far away from seeing if this will pan out. With Howard's public reputation on a downward spiral (unknown to him), there may not be time or space for him to fight back, and the public shaming will expedite the Sandpiper settlement much faster.

If feel not enough people talk about what happens to kim after better call saul I feel everyone talks about Kim's relationship with kim and also how kim deceived jimmy and all that.
How about this theory?... that kim and jimmy do something crazy to Howard, or at least try. They get caught, Kim takes the blame and that gets her in prison through all of Breaking Bad. The date Saul tells Franchesca is the day Kim is going to be released from prison, it just so happens its also his bday.
Vince made a comment recently on the fate of Gene. He said something like Saul has to pay for all he has done wrong and can’t get away with it. I predict some major twists and turns we can’t see coming. I think the look at comments and admitted they write as they go. I think Kim is alive and well during BB in to Gene’s timeline. They are birds of a feather
I belive Kim pushes it too far an gets caught maybe arrested for illegal law practices an jimmy try’s to free Kim but Kim’s moral complex is back to normal an she sees the time in prison as therapeutic an tells jimmy to forget her , she is at peace away from the law an the craziness going on
