This smaller size field, goals, and 8v8 or 9v9 needs to be used universally for player development in USA up to around u14/15.
We are too quick to throw our youth onto bigger fields with more players and severely hinders development by allowing for much less technical play, slower pace of play/processing skills, and it often rewards players with size/physicality and pace that they may only have because of growing faster than their peers.
Here in Europe you start to Play 11v11 at u12
If you cant Play a whole match of 11v11 you need to do some stamina training
