Relaxing the throat can help a great deal. Have small bite size meals. There are machines on the market that can crush vegetables and fruit, and leave the pulp behind. I make carrot juice with apple. It's delicious, and easy to swallow because it is not too thin. You have to experiment with the consistency that suits you best. Also temperature, ice cold, cold, warm or hot. Mum had dysphagia. I helped out at a couple of hospitals where they treated patients that had it and other health issues. Make a list of all the foods and drinks you can manage best. But, avoid any drinks with artificial sweetener such as, aspartame that is toxic. Aspartame is also known by many others names, such as amino sweet and natural. Dr Betty Martini is an authority on it. Here website is called mission possible. If you write to her I'm sure she will reply.
