East St. Louis would have destroyed either one of these schools. It’s a shame that things have changed in St. Louis. I’m from an era when the suburban north dominated. Hazelwood Central and Hazelwood East, Riverview Gardens would’ve walked all over these West county and South County schools. Never a Catholic high school would compete for state it was always HC. Suburban North schools, Lutheran North and Berkeley High would’ve beat these dudes so bad it would’ve been over at halftime.

The Hazelwoods and Mccluer were good but lost quite a bit to Ray-Pec, Blue Springs, Jeff Cityor Rockhurst in the ships. They did win a few times though. Didn’t Lafayette beat a good Ritter team this year where all the north country recruits now attend?
