Josh has been crawling for years. And after years of experience, Josh walks (or crawls) us through his findings on how it's transformed his body. Crawling is order than walking. Yet, our society doesn't advocate for practicing crawling in our exercise routines. Why? Crawling activates muscles that walking doesn't. Crawling will challenge your body and mind, your coordination, and your upper and lower body. Get connected to your body by giving crawling a try!

This is beautiful, it feels mi heart, I jutt came from Puerto Rico, I lost my sister two weeks ago and the process has been very painful. I still did the strength side in the mornings to keep my sanity and moving. For me this feels like a kid in a candy store. Ever since I started with SS I feel a connection with the primal, animal flow. Of course I am a beginner but I have to say that whenever there is a flow in the movement from the program I just get a smile on my face and feel like a little kid, excited to go for it. I do love the crawling and keep practicing hanging. Thank You for this it feels me up. Belssings.

I've not wrested, but I believe it's the strength training but with a twist... literally... wrestler's do a lot of rotational exercises but twisting the entire body in both directions, most modern day sports won't allow that level of contact because it... hurts when things break lol... but wrestler's train for that I presume.

I had a totally wrecked back 2 bulged discs after a back surgery 8 years ago. Spent time this last winter helping a family member build a house I spent three weeks in a crawl space and I healed my back this is no joke it works and I couldn’t figure out what I did to heal up so well. I wonder whether this works even when one is in old age with less muscles ? What about pain from arthritis and all those other attributes of aging ? I’m in my mid-70s and have done 20+ years of yoga until groin pain stopped me from continuing and I’ve gotten so darn stiff since then. Luckily I do my own floor washing, like to squat when I get the chance and move and act in a younger way then my age, but I want to get stronger and better so I can be as strong and flexible as possible into my 80s and further , please 🙏🏻 goddess;-)

Well said. I got into 'bear walking' (not all that much but) and its helped me. I'm pretty good at it, on the tiles from the front door hallway to my bedroom, maybe back again. Cats think I'm crazy. I'm 67. Hurt my hands at first but not anymore (had to hold my slippers on my palms) (would be easier if the floor had nice carpet) but it takes the tension away before getting ready for sleep best of all it removes all doubt - that its good to not take oneself too seriously. If you can, do the silly walk 😅 a bit at a time and as you do get stronger it never loses the silliness - cats ignore me now oh its just her... 😮

I was lucky enough to get introduced to crawling 10 years ago when I started working for Tim Anderson of Original Strength. I’ll be 53 in Aug and I’m stronger and have less pain now then I did before I started doing a lot of crawling. I got back into skateboarding and skate 3-4 days a week for 3 hrs straight.

Ever since I discovered Original Strength, I became a fan, not only of the resets (which makes you feel amazing), but of the daily ten minute work Tim Anderson talks about often. Imagine, just 10 minutes of crawling every day can make you more strong, resilient, conditioned and mobile than you ever were. That's what I've been doing for the past six months, and I'm feeling great and capable for anything life might throw up at me.

"Disconnected" -- the perfect explanation of how I'm feeling as a "once very active, softball player, mother of 3 boys, gymrat, self-proclaimed weightlifter," to a 62-year old grandmother who only move on demand. I can get on the floor but can I crawl, skip, jump? When you have to "think" about how to perform the next movement instead of it being natural as it once was, something is wrong. Im 61. But lean and flexible from years of yoga. But massive depression and anxiety in the last two decades left me going ti work and then curling up in the couch almost all the time in between. I am a wreck. Watching you crawl brings back memories of younger freedom. But also- it appeals as a natural thing I’ve never done (except when climbing ricks on the shoreline and that was random and so lovely. So i do have an idea of what it would be like to crawl. For years I lost all that random freedom, and pursued repetitive, movements-lifting weights, jogging endless miles, bike riding. All driven by an addictive quality-and thoroughly unpleasant mostly. What you’re doing appeals.

Raising my two sons, I'm constantly crawling around, moving quickly to help when they fall, bending in ways I never thought to bend. Despite still healing from this last pregnancy, I'm stronger than before. My muscles can handle more and move more. My sons have retaught me the very basics of movement. It's wonderful.

I have been crawling since early 2019. I was 72 yrs old and, and did Tai Chi Yang short daily (still do), but the damage to my right knee was making doing the form difficult sometimes. One day I got down on the floor with a toddler and crawled around and had the thought that I would try crawling daily as an exercise. I discovered that it was (and) is healing my knees ... and the more I saw improvements had me looking for easier ways to get up and down from the floor and handle going up and down stairs without knee pain.

I love this video for the wonderful mix of musical and visual experience melted into art. Honestly possibly the most capturing fitness video i ve seen so far. Also bc of the content and topic ofc. But the way the beats land on the visuals. Wow. Really enjoyable. Normally watching fitness videos is boring and rather not stimulating ... this one is different. Thank you.

I'm very new to all of this Josh, but I agree that developing a relationship with the ground is highly beneficial for the health of the body. Being tight and stiff in many areas I have to be patient and give all of this a lot of time. I now also spend some moments each day sitting cross legged and I am practising sitting in other positions on the floor, challenging hips, knees and feet. Although I'm unable to touch my toes at the moment I have strong enough legs to toes squat down to the ground without too much difficulty. One thing I have noticed is that my hands and my knees are complaining less about being in touch with the floor. Some resilience beginning to develop there!

I’m so glad I happened on your video! I had forgotten how valuable crawling is. Thank you.
I first heard about the benefits of crawling, and the work of the Doman brothers, about 1960, and was part of a team in the early 1960s that worked with a brain damaged baby. Every 4 hours, 2 to 4 people put the baby through a short crawling session.
I also attended a 2-3 day convention featuring Dr Doman in Philadelphia in 1979.
I don’t know why I’ve let it lapse, can’t wait to get started again. I wonder if it helps with the various forms of dementia since it benefits brain damaged babies and children.

I've been training with you guys for several months now coming back from 3 years in a wheel chair and 5 additional not very mobile years. Couldn't do the bear crawl 4 steps 6 months ago. But can go across the gym and back now with much smoother movement!!! Feels very natural. It's made me so much stronger 💪 .... thanks for doing what you do!!!

I've been dealing with a shoulder injury the last month and a bit that stopped me from training. Had a frustrating few weeks where every time I tried to do anything in the gym the pain reared its ugly head. About a week ago I started leaning more into Rope Flow and other movement like Crawling and Walking. My shoulder feels 80% better and I'm now able to hang and do other things that were causing pain before.
I did a rope flow and crawling session today outside at the park then saw this video. It's like the universe is sending me a message. Time to focus more on crawling and natural movement. Thanks for the great video and inspiration!
