- My heart has been hurting over all the dogs out there who need homes, so I decided to visit ASPCA + Two Hands Four Paws to learn more about how we can help our furry friends! All the dogs in this video are up for adoption if any of you are looking for a new addition to your family!

Hey there, I'm Madelaine Petsch! You may recognize me from The CWs 'Riverdale' as Cheryl Blossom. I made a channel just so I could show you guys who I am when I'm not being Cheryl :) Subscribe for all things 'Madelaine' & for videos all about my adventures, bts footage and more!
I'm not in a financial situation to adopt, or to donate really to any of these types of organisations but what I realised I COULD donate was TIME! I volunteer walking dogs a couple of times a week at my local animal shelter, and it makes the dogs, and my heart so happy! If you are in a similar situation I would highly recommend looking into your local shelters to see if they have any similar programs so you can also do anything you can to give those furry friends some love before they find their forever home x

Fostering is a great way to help too! Usually the rescue centers will cover the costs of food, supplies, and medical needs!

About 2-3 years ago, me and my family rescued 6 puppies that were just left in the woods. They were skinny and hungry and a few were even scared to get near us. I will always remember that day and it makes me happy knowing that we saved their lives. Thanks Madelaine for talking about this and sharing this cause ❤️❤️
I've been thinking about adopting from my local animal shelter for a couple of weeks. This video totally cemented my decision! I'll head over to adopt my little baby dog soon!💖🐩

it’s amazing that some people are actually out here helping these poor babies. no animal deserves to be abused or neglected after it gets hurt. seeing a stray animal that’s hurt or seeing an owner want to get rid of their dog or cat or any animal they have just because it’s hurt breaks my heart😔i wish i could just adopt every animal that’s hurt or is getting abused or neglected.

i have a little dog named Lucy. she was homeless in north carolina for weeks after she was born. she was taken by animal catchers and was going to go to a high-kill shelter, but my aunt works for a company called WAGS that saves dogs. she fosters dogs in her home and has at least 3 or 4 every day. she fostered Lucy for a while and brought her (she was actually named Jane at the time) to my house for a visit one day. she was a scrawny, thin little thing and my family fell in love with her. my brother and i had been begging for a puppy for a while at that point. so my parents adopted and rescued Lucy as a surprise for us! that was just over 4 years ago. now Lucy is happy and healthy and just a little chubby. we love her so much ♥️ please adopt your dogs!

All of these dogs are so sweet.... and watching the doberman leaning against you just made my heart fill with so much happiness. I have a doberman girl and she does the same thing, they love to be close to people who make them feel loved and welcomed. 😍💕

I always adopt and it breaks my heart to see others always go to breeders, etc. when there are so many other dogs and cats, etc. that need homes and people to love and to love them. I already loved you but now I love you even more for raising awareness and using your platform for something so important and dear to my heart

We got a dog from the SSPCA and she is an absolute angel. She’s a large dog but she’s such a big baby and is the most protective dog I’ve ever met. My dad would pick me up to hug me and because she’s so aware of what abuse was from being abused she would always bark thinking he was hurting me. Rescue dogs aren’t broken, they’re probably the most lovable dogs on the planet actually.

I have had a rescue dog for 7.5 years now and he is amazing!! Thank you so much for spreading this message and using your influence for some good!! (btw I love Riverdale ❤️)
I was sobbing my eyes for almost 70% of this video, both of my dogs are adopted and both of them had a tough path to go through, from being malnourished, kept on the chain to being beaten and threaten on the daily basis. This video is so beautiful, it is so important to help animals in need and adopt rather than buy, there are so many that long for love!

I really wish that my dog could have the same experience to recover. He currently has leg tears and has been lying on the floor for weeks because he cannot walk at all. He's not the same dog that he used to be and I wish I could give a part of his life back. We felt it's cruel to keep him alive if he can't walk or play or even get up so we're making a decision to euthanize him. My family and I are spending our last weeks together with him because we can't afford to spend thousands surgeries or therapy that possibly won't work on a big Rottweiler like himself. We rescued him from a shelter in 2014 and he has been such a sweetheart in our family. I'm glad these dogs are getting the help they need and deserve 😭❤️

i adopted both my fur babies and this video touched my heart
One of my dogs (a rescue) herniated a disc in her spine and became paralyzed from mid back down about 6 years ago. We didn't have a rehab place like this, but we had exercises to do with her multiple times a day. She now has about 80-90% of her mobility back and is able to walk and run again 💕. I can't even imagine dogs going through this without a family there for them! This hits a soft spot for me, I love that you are raising awareness! Keep up the good work

oh my gosh this was absolutely so sweet! I loved this sooooo much and it almost made me cry! My Nana works with a golden retriever rescue group in north Texas, and the dogs she has worked with have been amazing! She fostered 3, all "foster fails" because she adopted them, and they're amazing! we adopted my amazing, loving, sweet little Libby love from the same golden retriever rescue group, and she has been such a huge blessing! She literally gives hugs and i love her more than anything! I love your love for animals, especially rescues because rescue dogs have such a special place in my heart! and i love you so much! thank you for being such an inspiration and a positive role model!

I have 4 dogs and 2 cats that are all adopted from the streets and shelters and may I just say: This is so amazing of you thank you so much for promoting this! I never really see people bringing awareness to these adorable babies! My family used to foster shelter dogs and cats and they're all such sweet animals who just want to be loved and the fact that you're drawing awareness is so amazing thank you thank you thank you
It amazes me how genuinely sweet and kind-hearted Madelaine is. There are some celebrities that put up an act and pretend like they are good people but in reality are so fake, but even just by watching the way Madelaine interacts with everyone and her body language hearing the founder speak, she genuinely cares about our earth and the homeless dogs and shes just such a truly sweet person. There's not enough people like you in the world!

I work as a dog groomer but we also have a Daycare AND a shelter we always are rescuing dogs, making them look all pretty and then adopting them out! Love working with dogs it makes my heart so happy! My next pup I’m definitely going to adopt 💕 Thanks for having such a big heart Mads I love you!
Adoption is really the best way to go. That org (two hands, four paws) seems incredible. You have an incredible heart and keep doing great work about things you are passionate about.
i would much prefer adopting a dog especially a older dog that has been there for a long time so that it could live out the remaining part of its life in a happy place where its loved. :)
Senior pets are the best! I adopted an 11 year old beagle who had been at the shelter on 2 separate occasions. Besides the gray on his face, you'd never be able to tell how old he is (now 12) because he has an incredible amount of energy.
It's an amazing feeling adopting but especially adopting a senior pet who are even more unlikely to be adopted.

I love this, my dog passed around Thanksgiving, before she was in the shelter she was abused, when we got her she was about 4 years old, she had a skin condition and seperation anxiety and she was so amazing and loving, she lived her life with us happily and I want other dogs to get the same thing, what your doing is amazing and ily so much❤

I'm watching this with my dog and now I'm crying because I was thinking she could be one of those dogs. She know what a family is but those dogs don't. My dog is a really lucky girl and I'm happy for her but I want all homless dogs to feel happiness just my dog does maybe just for 1 hour of their lives.
