Renovation of a rotary furnace - construction of an exhaust gas post-combustion installation and an extraction installation in ZUO Konin
Remal participated in the renovation of the entire exhaust gas after-combustion system in the scope related to the construction and assembly of the steel structure. The works included the renovation of the rotary furnace and the construction of a flue gas after-combustion installation and an extraction installation, according to a new design.
The installation elements were made at Remal workshops, where they were pre-assembled and then delivered to the client. The delivered components were taken over by a company dealing with ceramic thermal insulation (the entire system was poured with heat-resistant concrete).
While the concrete insulation was being made, the old installation was being dismantled. The difficulty for Remal was the lack of access and the need to dismantle and assemble the elements through a hole in the roof. Due to the weight of the concrete elements, the mobile crane had to have a lifting capacity of at least 100 tons. The assembly of components required extensive experience and mastery in carrying out such responsible, dangerous activities at heights.
