I do this too. What I have noticed tho is that toys back in our younger ages are way more exciting in and thrilling. Kids are so much into technology over toys today that toy companies and stores don’t focus as much on toys. For example, the toy sections in Walmart got smaller and was moved to a more disclosed area. And it’s more dull than it was when we were kids. Back then there were posters for each character section of toys: now it’s none of that bc of how much technology has taken over. It’s sad to see, but it will always have a special place in my heart
I still go to the toy aisle for two things. Hot Wheels, and LEGO. Both for decoration, hehe. I’m contemplating getting a bunch of modular lego sets and just doing a Christmas setup with them, but idk… The price of sets is certainly high nowadays
