      That's great! Keep it up, especially the tendon strengthening stuff. Most people stop way too early unfortunately. Get very strong instead. Thanks for writing.

    Hi Martin,i had patellar tendonitis, thanks to your book with various exercise illustrated managed to overcome patellar tendonitis after almost 7 years, patience is key, thanks again for your help

    Hey. I am a fourteen basketball player and am mid-season. I have patellar tendonitis and can't afford to take a break to rest. Is it okay if I play through the pain? And are there any exercises or stretches that will help me play through the rest of the season(3 months)?

      You can look into heavy isometric holds: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25979840/ ... however, training through pain is very risky and I don't recommend it. Please talk to a doctor before taking up any exercise regimen or trying to treat yourself.

      I think in Volleyball you can in some cases play through the pain. You can easily reduce the intensity and adapt to different roles, for example a setter will not do max approach jump (which is the most harmfull)
      You still have to block but you can tell your sid players that you will not jump block and instead try to catch the lob. this works best in training tho, as in matches it might suck to play reduced.
