Any suggestions on videos for VX-6r programming? I have had one for a while, but I've never found a video that explains it for someone newer to radio stuff.
lack of encryption doesnt entirely invalidate civilian comms. for passing insensitive info its isnt neccessary. like if i just wanna tell my buddy 5 minutes away that road x is blocked if you and your group want some operational details private you can just establish brevity codes and authentication tables beforehand and still take advantage of the pros of amateur radio. ill tell my buddy "kentucky fried chicken, number 4, medium pepsi"(im coming to you, expect me in 4 hours, im bringing company)
Here is the legal encrypted radio solution I've been looking for: ua-cam.com/video/x1m1vTvBjdg/v-deo.html A four-man fire team uses these, and the team leader runs dual comms with a HAM (unencrypted) 6m/VHF/UHF back to the TOC. I agree with jjj.5562 on the viability of using pre-determined phrases on open comms. Police departments use 10-codes for this reason, and it works well. Your team could also just learn Swedish or something.
Team coms don't need encryption in most cases. You shouldn't be keyed up unless you are already in contact shooting, at which point you're position is given away by the gun fire. Strategic coms should be encrypted, and can be done with things like One Time Pads and Rattlegram.
Bro what do you mean? Lots of radios have encryption, it’s laws not the hardware that say you can’t use it 😂 I promise you the hardware is not the issue. Build your own system if you can brainstorm some weird niche situation where you can’t have what you want.
Brandon is looking a bit jacked. Putting in the work, Son!
I don’t have a radio or a group to use radios with, but it’s neat to see a new product on the market.
Its not the size that matters, its what you can do with it that does matter.

KS6DAY on UA-cam has all you need to know
I used his videos to program my VX and it was a piece of cake. Great video and nice new radio pouch.
I highly suggest the RT systems programming software
Im assuming this will work on the inside of a chest rig using the back velcro panel?
That's what it's designed to do, yes
Will it fit your Ready Rig?
The velcro is opposite so I don't think that would work.
@@TREXARMORY but it looks like it's a perfect addition to it :(
Flops around too much. Needs some kind of retention to secure it to chest rig/plate carrier
Will this work with your quad flap chest rig?
Sending love💚💚💚
I want the shirt not the radio wing
Wow
Today's algorithm offering
Brandon is Luke Skywalker ….😳
The main issue I see with civi radio is lack of encryption. Until we have a good civilian encryption option, radios are just high powered toys.

Plenty of civi radios have AES256 capabilities, an NSA designated tier 1 encryption.
