I got a show next week and I just purchased the PV10. I have a dj that has his own equipment. How would I mix hook up my pv10 with his dj pioneer mixer? I want the pv10 for microphone use only
I know this is late but for future reference if you’re only using 1 mic you can pan the mic to the left and just go left of main out into DJM mixer mic input. Otherwise from pioneer mixer master out 2 (RCA) you can go directly into channel 7/8 RCA input! Otherwise for multi mics get a XLR female to RCA male and go into one of the DJM RCA lines. Heaps of sound guys tell me it’s a “no no” but it works a treat and the mics don’t feedback through DJ booth monitor this way.

Great comment R Reekoh. There are actually a few right YET oddly wrong positions on setting up a sound system. Many people have different opinions on what is best and I have found ESPECIALLY with powered speakers that you gauge the manufacturer, speaker, it's hissing/white noise/buzzing sounds that help figure out if the speaker can go past the traditional halfway mark. In reality, a system in my opinion should be run completely open if you can do it and I have noticed in the last year that less and less speakers run at max volume. Believe me, I have had plenty of speakers where I was able to run the amplifier or powered speaker at 100% and then adjust from the mixer. As of lately, lucky if you can run at 12 oclock position and then adjust from mixer. Yet as you seen in this video, this particular setup, I basically listened to the hissing/static/etc. type noises as I brought up the volume of the speaker with nothing playing and found the sweet spot that way. You should be able to run a Peavey speaker up to 80% of it's max volume. Yet once again, right and wrong answers exist within each other that makes the having a go to setting 100% of the time with everything virtually impossible. Example; The Peavey PVXp12 powered 12 inch speaker VS the newest Peavey Darkmatter DM112 powered speaker. Where I am comfortable running the pvx speaker at 80%, I am NOT with the DM series. Sure, you get all your monies worth with the DM series, yet I have found that I feel safe at 12 oclock/halfway position. Then when you look at mixers. The go to method would be to ZERO out the board and have the gains at 12 oclock, EQ all at 12 oclock, the main volume where that bold line is on the mixer (max setting-zero, or called Unity). Even how you have the speakers set up can effect how you run the system. Example: I ran that same system for karaoke and because the speakers were close together. I had trouble lifting the gains further because of feedback. YET when I took that same system and set the speakers up much better in the room, I had more gain to play with. Hope that all made sense. At this point, we can only assume that you may be asking if it has a vocal cancel feature for regular music to take out the vocals (many people have asked through the years to try and use regular music for karaoke). Typically unless you are dealing with expensive recording equipment that deals with recording several different layers, having a vocal cancel for existing music most often is more of a novel idea than practical. Example: I remember the old Numark 200fx, it had a vocal cancel and it was pretty much useless. I even remember the old pioneer karaoke player that had that feature and all it did was lower the actual vocals so that it gave a singer more ability to singer louder/over the original vocals. Most often it deteriorates the overall quality of the song and that's why a lot of these mixers, karaoke players that had such a feature was mostly a waste and not a serious solution. Hence the reason why I stated that expensive recording studios typically have the right gear for such a task. Hope that made some sense. MADPROAUDIO ~DISABLED VETERAN ~ FAMILY OWNED
Duet 2. Once again, you have me trying to guess a bit on what you are asking, lol . (All in good humor though). Are you referring to a Vocopro Duet 2 "all in one karaoke system". If so, then you would hook the outputs to the mixer and run the mics through the mixer and just use the Duet for the player only. Sorry if I am not completely understanding what you are asking for. If you are looking to upgrade your system. Feel free to email us at info@madproaudio.com and we can come up with a solution for you.

Hey when I connect my HDMI cord , the audio doesn't come out of the speaker. Why is that?
HDMI wont work for karaoke
It will carry the video but not the audio
9months past... i hope you fixed! But if you don’t (try to use ARC HDMI) that works for audio. If you did fixed tell us what you did. Thx
can you please make in simple any new person will be confused
Good job Sam Smith doesn't have to setup his own PA, he'd get confused with the cable ends.
