If only I would have known. I used to study Kuk Sool Won, and I live in a city which is only 30 minutes away from Folsom.

I know In Hyuk Suh is the real deal and I've no doubt he is as well., but they got to do a better job in determining who is worthy of being made into an instructor. I learned a very expensive lesson in regards to how honor, respect and etiquette can be a one-way street.
I miss my classes but not my thieving instructor.

      Sad to hear your truth.
I must agree. Amazing art but the belt system is completely out of hand

@@benjaminstarks4071 yes alot has changed, sung jin suh has gone around the globe to update forms and techniques. Now complications has arrived. Not because of his updates but a family dispute between father and son.

@@MDCpaintball Thank you. I have been out of the loop for many years. Its pretty hush hush. There isn't much written about the politics of Kuk Sool Won. But it seems to be somewhat in chaos.

Forms in Kuk Sool are not always meant to be "effective" although there are various strikes throughout the form that are (kicks, punches, chopes etc) the primary purpose of a form is to demonstrate what you have learned as a martial artist. It represents hours and hours of dedication and discipline.

"Effective"? Do you mean "useful in a fight?" If so, looks like you're missing the point of the form. But, I'll say the body control and precision it takes to perform the form is "effective" even in a fight, but is not the only thing that goes into fighting. Martial arts isn't just fighting, but some folks only focus on that aspect. One of my favorite masters in Kuk Sool put it this way once... "anyone can teach a monkey to kick and punch" - Master Jolly. LOL

@@deanlhouston if your not learning to fight than your doing the wrong sport, art, or whatever you want to call it.
Simple truth sucks when you don't want to accept it.
There was and is no phylosofy to fighting or war.
Can't ask you to believe me But believe me,,, I sincerely know what I'm speaking about.
