- It is Foundation Friday! And today I am reviewing the newest foundation from Catrice called: the nude drop tinted serum foundation. I have been testing this foundation for a few weeks and I am ready to give my final thoughts on it.

I am 47
Skin type: Normal to dry
Olive undertone, leaning slightly warm
hyperpigmentation & rosacea
I prefer a lightweight, buildable formula that has a natural finish.
My perfect winter shade is the Kosas 160 Light Olive

Wow, that looks good for that long period of time. Beautiful finish. I may be a powder gal, but I would love to try since it's affordable.
I'm seriously considering buying this. I usually wear a tinted psychical spf when I go out in the mornings/ afternoons, so I don't put foundation over it. But I recently had to go to a few events at night and wore Catrice's True Skin foundation & concealer combo. It was mostly my skin's fault for being extra textured but it looked hideous. It sat on top of the skin and separated almost everywhere. So I'm thinking that a "lighter" foundation may work better. It should at least spread more easily. Btw, thank you for talking about facial hair. I know those little suckers are a normal human being feature but we mostly underestimate how tricky they can be for makeup application.
I have dry skin and I love this foundation. It looks my skin but better and after 12+ hours it looks great on me. And it does not oxidase on me. For the price point it is a win for me. It will probably be too light for the summer but it does not matter that much because during the summer I wear LRP tinted SPF.

The shade looks so nice on you and the finish after your natural oils came through at the end of the day is actually really beautiful, normally the tell tell signs for a cheaper foundation is the sides of the nose and smile but this held up beautifully ok Catrice we see you, oh I can’t try the New HD one cuz it’s for niacidimide 😢 fab vid hun I can’t wait for the KVD 🎉

I got the new Gucci foundation and it oxidise like crazy on me, but I mix it with blue pigment for stopping the oxidisation and it works, I get my perfect shade match!

How is it with creasing. I have dehydrated/dry skin so I battle with foundation that settles in the creases especially on my forehead and around the eyes
It did crease some, but to be fair. The only foundation that stays put for me is the one. From Kvd beauty 😅
The 1st time I heard of Oxidation in foundation was from a future bride friend, she asked me "why" and I was like in my head: You are having the make up done professionally, the make up artist should know the why and how🙃
I think, she thought, it had to do with her skin and I wonder that too. Otherwise the MUA would have acted accordingly, if that brand always go darker, wouldn't she?
They should know (in my opinion). But it can be because of the skincare she had underneath. In this case though, I could see it getting darker when it dried. Some foundations do that

Since they were the try-out, I guess that the Beautician started from a cleaned face. Perhaps she gave it as a reason for what my friend was seeing in the mirror. I was under the impression that she took it like there was something wrong with her, perhaps she's just as curious as me.
On me, I can't say I ever notice. Tone change mixing with my skin tone and because of the dry down.
@@LilithThe1st I have no where near the knowledge that a makeup artist (should) have. But I have tried a lot of foundations. What I do know is that this can happen and it’s not your friends fault. Maybe I have a high opinion of what a makeup artist should know😅

Maybe she was just explaining why it went dark and my friend didn't just ask her what it meant or thought about it later, you know how us girls marinate things 😜.
It might be you tried more products than some, they probably work with only few brands.
I don't like my mustache either. Shaving is a real necessity. 😁 At nearly 65 those little whiskers are getting a bit more evident. Not fair.
