The Pokemon animations by Jaiden have been an absolute blast to watch and I love hearing your favorite parts about them! you still in on playing pmd? i recommend red rescue team and explorers of sky. both really good almost cried on sky and sobbed on red the first time i played these back as a kid
Vivid color the bat with nails is called Lucille from The walking Dead
Ok
Vivid! Just wondering. Whats your favourite Pokemon?
"Dim Sun, like you dim the sun. Man, I am not smart" ...So, you're saying you're dim, son?
And the best comment award goes to:
For an embarrassingly long time I thought dim sun was dim sum lol
To be honest I didn't realize that ether
@lola snape no
T-posing over that phrase.
Dim sun. The less popular, non-edible cousin of the far superior steamed dumpling.
Dumplings are so good
Never had a dumpling before, I wish to try one
@@invividcolor I'm not a fan of them.
Dim sum isn’t the dumpling
@@invividcolor you are not wrong they are delicious but theres only a few kinds i would eat, one of them is not available where I live T^T cuz like i can eat 20 of those dumplings by myself :P
My two favorite side-series Pokemon Games are Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time, and this exact game that Jaiden played
Dope! I really need to try a Mystery Dungeon game
@@invividcolor Would 100% watch that!
You misstyped sky by time :p haha ^^
@@osumazimeowisfromme6241 I never bought Sky so I have no idea how good it is. I'm sure it's better since I read it's just basically Time/Darkness but with DLC, but I've never played it so I have no opinion.
@@mikkurzhal7390 yeah i understand it :)
I think it's about time Nintendo should pay Jaiden for promoting the Pokemon franchise as a whole. I bet when she released these videos it breathed revitalized energy into it.
That said, TOUCH THE BIDOOF is comedy gold. Who did the scriptwriting for this game? It's bonkers!
Nintendo should be paying Jaiden. Her videos are insanely fun and good for the fanchise!
My guy, not to discredit Jaiden but Pokemon was far from needing revitalized energy
Yeah, I decided to play this game because of her, and it's incredible! I wish all pokemon games had this level of comedy lol
T O U C H T H E. B I D O O F
Jaiden made me love Pokémon huh
You've probably already been told this but I'm going to say it anyways xD;
The Pokémon ranger games take place in regions where Pokémon catching is sort of not allowed. Kinda like forest preserves. And its the rangers' job to project the pokemon that live there and the loops of friendship allows them to get help from pokemon without catching them.
To the games....pokemon Snap! Hey you Pikachu! And the PokePark games were fun for me>w
Dude poke park was so good
Though the first game's region was ODDLY shaped STRANGELY familiar to the sinnoh region. I kinda felt that the first one was set in an alternate universe to the DPP generation without the sinnoh pokemon.
@@ravenschippers8267 yeah I've been reading some other comments saying that the ranger games are in an other universe where catching pokemon wasnt normalized but the rangers still exist in the show and other games so its hard to say
Poké park was the best
Is it just me or is ur text black in dark mode
, if so how do u do it?
"I want a life of sex and danger,
I want to be a Pokemon Ranger!"
The Sargent was not impressed with my alternative cadence. (I replaced 'Army' with 'Pokemon')
Your Sergeant should’ve been impressed with your nerve lol
I'd give you the like for this, but you're at 69 now and I have internet class.

I loved playing Rangers shadows of Almia. Even after finishing the story, trying to get some pokemon in it was amazing.
I should try it
My favorite line is human target clear
Great reaction vid dude. One thing I'll note is the boss of Team Dim Sun does appear before the last act several times,Jaiden just didn't mention it due to time most likely.
Ahhhh, makes perfect sense. She mentioned cutting story out for the sake of the vid. Thanks for the info!
Basically, for those I don't know or confused, the way Rangers work is a catch-and-release system. Where they befriend wild Pokemon for whatever task or battle needed before releasing them back into the wild.
This video: **Exists**
Me, who's only ever played like 2 Pokémon games in my life: *bonjour*
Same; sucks when the only nintendo you have is a switch lite
me who never played pokemon but know pokemon: BONJOUR!!!!!
I didn’t even notice that she had a baseball bat with nails on it the first time, Jaidens so good at animations 🌟
literally so good!
And her team! You gotta appreciate the folks who help her out :)
@@UN_BOXT You’re totally right, thank you. Also that username is *chef’s kiss*
a note, you were talking about articuno, zapdos, and moltres, as well as the legendary dogs. they're actually a major plot point in the guardian signs game, but i won't spoil what they are for.
I've always enjoyed playing the mystery dungeon games. Started with red rescue team and loved it. Favorite is still explorers of sky.
I've heard I would really like them, but I've never tried them. Might have to
I only ever played Red Rescue Team and Explorers of Time, but the latter is one of my all-time favorites
@@mikkurzhal7390 admittedly, I have never played that one, but sky always seemed to me to be a mix of darkness and time. Kind of like the emerald of gen 3
@@invividcolor I personally think they're worth at least trying. I would recommend explorers of sky, but of the three I've actually played (red rescue team, explorers of sky, and super mystery dungeon) I've played through that one the most
Yeah, i think Dim Sun is definitely a play on Dim Sum. I found this on Wikipedia "... dim sum (點心) and translates literally to "touching heart" (i.e. heart touching)" which seems to go with the theme of the game.
Ohhhhhh! Nice
Or you now, Making the Sun light Dim out
@@CraigOrangeSoda i don't get it, you're not making any sense.you're talking crazy talk.
@@wikinfei What kind of people hasn't learned of the word "Dim"? Are people really not paying attention to classes?
@@CraigOrangeSoda I'd probably say the same type of people who can't read in sarcasm. can't you tell by the way i typed? with that previous post and this one as well i was joking. it very well could just be as simple as your explanation or a portmanteau of the two theories.
I love all thse poke tubers going "I've played everything" and then going "oh yah ranger ...no"
Oh snap, another person who played Pokemon Conquest. Who'd a thought.
It’s such a good game!
@@invividcolor It really is, maybe a bit grindy at the end but honestly the most fun I've had with a Pokemon game in years.
I LOVED pokemon conquest I still have it
@@aurahero9842 I just started a new file, memories did not disappoint. No idea which form I'll take yet though.
Flipping my brain back to gen5 typings is still tricky though.
@@aurahero9842 Yeah I'll have to look at them some more in the game's context, but its true at first glance a Water type has plenty of defensive proprieties and Ice's offence is wonderful.
Will also need to check within their types as Dark and Ice were quite late if I recall.
if your gonna play any side games, play this ranger game and mystery dungeon explorers of sky
Will keep this in mine!
What is your favorite Pokemon game not in the main series?!
Super Mystery Dungeon
I didn't play many, only Quest, Go and Masters for a while.
Funnily enough with this video in mind,Pokemon Ranger Shadows of Almia, with Pokemon Ranger Guardian Signs and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky being second and third.
Uranium
I have actually never played Pokémon but love watching Pokémon content 😅
14:37 Uhh... I just noticed the "Eris" and "Clawd" pictures in the background looking suspiciously like Aerith and Cloud from FFVII.
good eye!
Ay yo finally someone shouting out Pokémon conquest! Mad respect
Conquest is so good!
Thank you! I've never heard anyone else talk about how good Conquest was
so good
Vivid “I don’t think Team Rocket has ever been in a side game spin-off thing”
Pokémon Puzzle league “ahem!”
you got me
And Pokemon Go.
I just finished watching the nuzlocke reaction so this is perfect timing lol (also idk why but I sure do love pokepark 2, probably nostalgia)
I have never played that! I loved Hey You Pikachu as a kid though!
Pokepark 2 looks like fun
Oh man I totally forgot the pokepark games existed! I wish they made a 3rd that merged the two games together because the first one had super fun mini games but the second one had a good plot
One of my all time favorite pokemon games that isn't main stream is Pokepark: Pikachu's Adventure for the wii. Primarily cause I loved befriending all of the pokemon and all of the games and fighting various pokemon was really fun, and I miss playing it since I both lost the game and sold my wii. To this day I regret never being able to 100% befriending the pokemon
I loved that game too!! I replayed it some time ago with my sister and we had a blast. If you haven't played it, I recommend Pokepark 2, it's also amazing and befriending Pokémon all over again is really nostalgic :D
Finally another person that appreciates Conquest
Conquest is very good
Ranger: Guardian Signs, it's the first pokemon game I got
NICE!
UA-cam just broke so now I’m just saving all videos that look intriguing lmao
Anyone else just noticed the Edger Allen Poe reference to The Raven when the raven says "Nevermore" I only noticed this just now cause we are learning it in school
I've only played a bit of the beginning of Shadows of Almia, but that was enough for me to love this game.
I should give it a shot
So fun fact, you earn the pokemon's friendship as a way of "catching them", and when selected during a battle they have unique abilities that power the loops! However if a pokemon uses their ability too much it will "break" the loops and "faint" the pokemon you "caught". It's been a while so I can't remember if your mons fainting means they run away or not, but my saving grace at the end (because you have to circle all three legendary dogs in the version I played, which are all running around and using abilities at the same time) was an ability that each loop counted down by 2 loops instead of one. It's pretty unique, and definitely not for everyone, but I found it fun!
Gengar: Trick
Pumpkaboo: Treat
Mimikyu: :)
YES!
Alternative game title: Pokemon: Circle Version
I’m a huge fan of Pokemon conquest, it’s two of my favorite game franchises together!
YES!
Yay! Someone else who loves conquest!
I like how he completely missed the ratata going flying. 9:55
My favorite has to be XD since you get a Teddiursa almost immediately. Other than that, I loved Stadium and Snap. Though I also spent many hours playing puzzle league.
I just love pokemon.......
I also love Pokemon! XD is such a great game!
@@invividcolor It and Colosseum were so different from the main series. It was like a breath of fresh air each time I brought out the GameCube.
Me too me too
I liked how Shadows of Almia's type choices of the Partner Pokemon Trio was interesting of either Flying, Electric, & Normal (Starly, Pachirisu, & Munchlax).
When I played, I went for Starly as I liked its wind tornado assist ability (Since the 1st game your partner be Electric Plusle/Minun, I thought I'd try a different element besides using an electric type again... and then Guardian Signs gives you Electric Ukulele Pichu).
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness
Same! I recently replayed that game for the first time since like... elementary school
This is probably going to be one no one else chooses, but it was Pokepark. I don’t remember which one (or ones) I played but god just thinking about them gives me the warmest of memories. Haven’t played it since then because I don’t have a wii but I want to.
I enjoyed pokemon channel as a kid. I would look up the encounters in magazines and loved the music and visuals. It would probably bore me today in like 5 seconds 😅
I have no clue what that is! Haha, have to look it up
In German the bad team is called "Nachtschatten" so "Nightshadow"
Gotcha
‘Another poketuber...’
Quick they’re coming self-aware! leave the planet before it’s too late!!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
You actually don't meet Blake Hall only at the end of the game. It's.........somewhere in the middle. And only briefly. And there was no indication that he was the bad guy until that point.
ohhh, interesting!
@@invividcolor Yup. You first meet him when you go to Altru Inc for the first time.
I actually have a theory that Pokemon are captured as usual in the Pokemon Ranger games, but Rangers literally have the authority/power/tech to override pokeballs. It's played up as friendship and 'freeing' them, but they're a representative of the governmental authority. It would make sense.
I dig this theory
We NEVER even hear about Pokemon Trainers so either ther simple arent any in the 3 Regions the Ranger games play, the Ranger series is in a paralel Universe wher the Pokeball never was inventet...ore in Regions governed by the Rangers Pokemon Training is illegal.
@@neptuneplaneptune3367 True in the ranger games, but in the show Ash does in fact meet Pokemon Rangers.
Think of it as in irl terms. They are called rangers, rangers in real life work in large forests and forest preserves. The regions they are in are like forest preserves. And a ranger's job is to protect the wildlife and help out people who get lost and stuff(and stop potchers)
@@neptuneplaneptune3367 Actually trainers are mentioned in a Ranger Net mission, I can't remember which though. Trainers just don't operate within these regions.
my favorite spin off is...
MAGIKARP JUMP
I was waiting for you to react to this :D
It's your time
They honestly do have some of the best dialogue in these side games
it looks hilarious
@@invividcolor Feed the bidoof with 163 cm snow cones.
I recently rebought conquest (I had it years and years ago after finding it in a GameStop but lost it- finally got the money to rebuy it) and I am loving it. I absolutely love the game I find it so cool it has just a touch more strategy than the main line and while the story isn’t the best imo the whole combat system and concept is A+
That being said the ranger series is also an A+ game series and I’ve played through guardian signs 3+ times now, gotten about halfway through the first, and started the second on an emulator before deciding I would just wait to get a card copy.
And finally my favorite side series game is either Pokken tournament DX on the switch (I love the battle mechanics and I wish I had the money to buy the full version right now) or is Pokémon Picross on the 3DS, which I mainly like because... I just love puzzles. Ofc conquest and ranger is up there too- I tolerate the mystery dungeon series but I’m not a HUGE fan of them.
Love this comment! Very reflective and I like your takes!
I still have each cartridge of all 3 of the games. I have never forgotten.
Glad you now pause the vid whenever you are talking unlike your reaction on Jaiden's ruby nuzlocke. What I just don't like is that I think you have done too much talking but I guess that is how you react to videos. I decided to subscribe anyways. Looking forward for your future vids. Good job 👍
Thank you, friend! I’ll keep this in mind
Guardian Signs is also a semi-sequel to Shadows, with some characters referencing the previous game. It's in a different reigon.
Great reaction!!!..
ALWAYS
In this game during the cargo ship part, you have to stop it from sinking and if you fail your character drowns. You can literally die in this pokemon game.
Three words.
*touch the bidoof.*

I love that Dim Sun grunts are just…so adorably stupid
Jaiden says dim sun 4 times
Vivid: OK BRB I GOTTA SEARCH THIS UP
hahahahaha. I hyper fixate on things!
My favorite is Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team. I have lots of nostalgia for it, and the music is incredible.
My favorite Pokémon side game is definitely Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky. It’s tough, but once you get used to the mechanics and get a hang of the bosses, it’s pretty fun! I recently beat the final boss for the first time since I got it years ago.
Nobody
Me just trying to get information for a new nuzlock but going way to far into the youtube cycle:
The first two mystery dungeon games hold so much nostalgia for me. I like the story of sky more, but Red rescue team just has a special place in my heart as it was my first of the series.
I need to try them!
She didn’t mention it, but the guardians of the red and yellow gems are Heatran and Cresselia respectively
That’s cool! Love a good Heatran moment
@@invividcolor Heatran certainly lives up to its strength in that battle- it can summon lava pools to limit where you can loop it (which don’t go away), uses Iron Head to ram your Capture Line and Eruption to cause explosions around itself, and can even use Fire Blast to spread fire on the ground in a star pattern and force you to back off.
@@Scorpionspear77 Or you know just cheese the battle with Shieldon.
Yeah, as far as I'm aware about the Pokemon Ranger series, it's mostly just a big puzzle game. The combat isn't really like the other pokemon games, the loops are pretty much how it goes. Admittedly, you can get partner pokemon to affect your loop power and you use the loops to temporarily capture pokemon to help get through envionmental puzzles.
You meet the main villain sooner in the game than she says
My favorite part of this game was when you literally crash the cargo ship into your old school grounds to stop it from sinking.
I was watching a video with another person watching the video...mind blown!
wait, haha
For Pokemon Ranger, the second game (this one) made the massive improvement that you don't have to draw all the circles in one go, but instead have the circles do "damage". That makes the system way more interesting even though it is fundamentally still just drawing circles.
As for my favorite spin-offs, Mystery Dungeon for sure. The first Pokemon Mystery Dungeon was the first game with an emotional story i ever played, and all of them, but especially Explorers, have the best stories in the franchise imo.
I got to give a shoutout to my bois, Pokepark 1 and 2.
2:25 when you accidentally predict the ENTIRE video XD
sometimes you gotta, haha
"There's pokemon ranger..."
YOU WERE ALMOST THERE
ALMOST THERE
I just figured those were way more popular than Conquest, so maybe Conquest?
i watched this and you mentioning conquest not only made me want to play it again. I want a conquest 2 now.
All-me-ah. Almia. Pokémon Ranger Shadows of Almia. The main “Shadow” being the innocent Mythical Pokémon Darkrai, again trying to save the day because why NOT?!
My first Pokémon game was gaurdian signs so I have a deep connection with pichu.I nicknamed him ulele boi
I have to give a shoutout to the pokemon colisseum games for being some of my favorites. The story's really cool, shadow lugia is just undeniably cool and more
Pokemon Colosseum and its sequel on GameCube are my favorite spin-off games. With the Mystery Dungeon series being a close second.
Jaiden actually gave some misinformation in her video. I've played Pokemon Ranger Shadows of Almia, and replayed it just last year, and you do meet the Team Dim Sun leader earlier in the game. You just don't know he's the leader yet (and by that I mean you can probably figure it out just based off how sketchy he is, but story-wise you don't know he's the leader). Same thing goes for his assistant.
I think she just cut some information for the sake of time. Like to not have to animate a ton of extra stuff.
@@invividcolor Which is fair. Either that or she just forgot about the first meeting, cause it's not particularly remarkable. I just got a tiny bit irritated when she said that you meet him first the first time at the top of the tower when it's not the first time you meet him.
I think Jaiden is an absolute genius when convincing people to play a game or do something
Like, I like all of her videos, but her game videos are just 💯
I agree with this
I wish I could’ve played Pokémon conquest
Dimsun is the food that is the opposite to dumplings
Pokémon cafe mix is pretty fun, and it’s free. You can never no to a free Pokémon game.
i like how self aware the title is
My fav side series probably be the Pokémon stadiums just remember having a great time as a kid with the N64.
When i first watched her video I was hoping she was going to love Conquests as much as I. Ranger had a good story, but Conquests needs more love.
It does!!!!
My favourite is Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers Of Sky. I legit cried playing that one, so emotional 😭
pokemon mystery dungeon blue rescue team is my heckin childhood, man. i've beaten it several times, and it's great.

My favorite side game is Pokémon quest because I didn’t have any else :(
Now to wait for that pokemon conquest and mystery dungeon animated videos from jaiden
Another comment, to help support.
I remember getting this game, as well as the Pokemon Monopoly board game she had in that box. Lol
I vaguely remember it, my dum dum brain thought I was a ranger to teach the students. Last place I remember being is a volcano and leaving a cliffside mountain with much tougher pokemon to "circle" to my childhood self it was like a bullethell game.
Unfortunately this game, among so many others were stolen and while I've tried to search out and purchase them again I forgot this treasure. Very fun game. :D
I'd love to see you play it, but caution of carpal tunnel from the thousands of circles your hand will do.
I had the original Pokémon Monopoly as a kid! I have the gen 2 Monopoly now!

Let's not forget that this is the game where you have to save somoene from a slakoth at some point as well
also: YES, GO AND PLAY THIS, IT'S ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! (something something playthrough content idea?)
personal opinion on the ranger games: all 3 games are quite neat, but I strongly prefer the second & third personally.
Hahahaha
I love Conquest but she's wearing a Ranger uniform in the thumbnail haha. Also Idk what her issue was with Moon. Moon was amazing.
As others have doubtless pointed out, you actually DO meet Blake Hall before where she claims is the only time. You meet him several times, actually. I don't know where she got the impression that you only meet him once.
**cries in pokepark was my childhood**
touch the bidoof
I’ve played a Pokémon Ranger game before. My favorite spin-off was the Poképark Duology.
I played the first Ranger game and loved it, indeed you don't capture pokémon and form a Team, you have to befriend pokémon based on what abbilities they have to do the tasks needed to progress, once you use it to do it it leaves you (because it's role is complete)
I should give it another shot
