Super pretty! I have some random cabs in larger sizes so i may try this technique to use them up. One method i often employ when embellishing bezels where the math isnt very even/easy to divide, is to think if im going to attach a bail or a wire guardian or some other attachment, i minus those attachment point beads from the overall embellishment count. So in this tutorial as an example, decide where your bail attachment point is going to be then take your 34 bead count, knock it down to 32 for your embellishment pattern and sew in your bail/wire guardian over the 2 beads you designated at the beginning when you chose your attachment point.

This brooch turned out gorgeous! It looks so beautiful with your scarf. I love wearing scarves, but I'm not crazy about the bulk of the knot. Your idea eliminates that concern!
    Such a great tutorial too.
May I suggest, instead of gluing on the filigree piece, if you know ahead of time your making a brooch, how about insetting the filigree within the bezel along with that gorgeous cab? You may need to add 1 more round of beads to make room for it, but it should be perfectly secure sewn in. Or, you could hand stitch it on at the end. That way, there's no scary gluing step to be afraid of. Just a thought...
I'm definitely gong to be looking for similar cabs for this design. Thanks so much!

Yes you can 😊Start with the same amount of Delicas. You may need one less round 15/0’s on the back and one less round of 11/0 Delicas on the front. Check as you go to make the perfect fit and adjust accordingly.

    Hi All
I have a big favor to ask our beading community.
I recently had a stroke and am seeking information about resources and aids to help me bead with one hand. It’s still early days in my recovery and rehabilitation. I have been beading for nearly 10 years and have collected quite a stash, which I’m not ready to part with yet. I want to explore all options for one-handed beading before considering getting rid of anything.
I welcome any and all suggestions.

Hi Damon, I'll pray for your quick recovery. Smart to not consider "destashing" yet, because you never know how your rehabilitation will turn out. I'm a disabled beader as well, so I'm interested in tips as well. Cheers!

Hello DaMon 🌸 I have been thinking about you lately! I’m so sorry to hear about your stroke. I’m so glad you’re going to keep beading. You are a beautiful beader and I know you will be back at your beading table. I’ll do some research online - there must be books, articles, even videos addressing this. I’ll let you know what I find. I wish you a speedy recovery and look forward to beading with you again 🌞😃
