This fine old gentleman (I'm perilously close to his age now!) has been added to the list exemplary and big hearted people that I keep in my heart. My late husband and I adopted 6 cats straight off the streets, over the years. We live in Canada 🇨🇦 where the winters are brutal so strays will sometimes show up at your door asking to be fed, or people who can't adopt them will call their friends and find them homes rather than sending them to shelters. That's because when the shelters overflow, they euthanize animals 😢. I have always been impressed with how the people of Istanbul love and accept cats . . . so beautiful. I'm not at all surprised that it was a Professor of Theology who scolded this lovely man for his compassion. I have seen so many examples lately of so-called 'religious' people who have no real kindness or empathy at all. With the Professor, I guess it's a case of "Those who can, do . . . those who can't, teach"!

This fellow feeds the cats in a random scattered impersonal way like people feed flocks of pigeons! Most UA-cam channel feeders try to give One Pellet Pile per cat (that they "know" personally) -- but maybe that personal style cannot be done when 88 cats flock around ONE feed supply!
