Great job! That's an awesome score. *@Pam Pilgrim,* keep up the good work!
Correctly it is: The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.
Another often misquoted line.."the line should be peace on earth to men of good will."
19/20
19/20
Not money, the love of money is the root of all evil 🤗❤️💡
@Tawna, okay...noted! 👍
I was just going to say the same thing.
A Barbadian long, long ago always say, not having it is the root of all evil.
"The Love of Money is the Root of all Kinds of Evil" !
I thought there was something 'off' about that question.
Common mistake. Money is NOT the root of all evil. It is correctly: The LOVE of money that is the root of evil. There’s a big difference and the latter is the correct quotation. Very sloppy.
Okay...noted! 👍
That quote is as old as time ! So I think it is what is is .
Mr. Patrick:-Actually, it's your answer that's a bit Sloppy! The proverb quoted is the one I learned in a Parochial (church) School. It was only when the wordsmiths began to study the translation errors in the Bible, that the original statement became clear.
Tsk, Tsk...🤔
Just about to say the same.
@@k.patriciahutt2979 my Bible says the love of money………….
19/20. The Bible says the ‘love’ of money is the root of all evil.
Thank you & Merry Christmas to you & your family. ❤️
Congratulations on your great score! That's really impressive. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and a Merry Christmas. I wish you and your family all the best.

Thank you. Lord bless you. Pat 💗🙏
It's a root. Not the root
@@louisjj639
It depends on what Bible you read & study. The root of all evil is correct.
Yah! That is TRUTH & REALITY! LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL! When you are not content with what you have and you covet other people's lives and properties and wealth, when you harm or oppressed others due to money & you are stingy or do not share your wealth & blessings, there is MISERY! We need money to buy food, and many others, pay bills, be able to travel domestic or international, and do some charity work then there is JOY in one self and others too!
I got all correct I still remember now I am 75 years old I am happy I remember what was taught in school
Excellent job, Betty Chan! 💯🤗👍
Keep up the great work!
17 out of 20 not bad for a OG. Knowledge is key wisdom makes you wiser. We all have something to pass on to make this world better.
Good job, Michael. ❤️👍

Proverbs and Idioms are fun! #10 had me stumped. I have only heard it as: "One who makes no mistakes learns nothing."
Thank you!!
Great job, Monkey Wrench! 🤗👍

16/20. Mistakes: Money is the root of all evil / Patience is a plaster for all sores / The best advice is found on the pillow / A drowning man will clutch at a straw. I've never heard any of them. Some others are very similar to Italian proverbs...😇So, quite easy. Thank you for posting all these quizzes.
Great job, MRS.DARCY1000! 🤗👍
Making mistakes is part of the learning process!

There is nothing wrong with being rich. Depends on how one acquires it. It’s the love of money that is the root of all evil.
Q1 It is important to note that knowledge and wisdom are two different things. An oft cited example of this is that knowledge is being aware that tomatoes are a fruit, wisdom is what prevents you from adding them to a fruit salad.
💯👍

Great job, Ponciano! 🤗👍
Thanks for taking the quiz.
Wishing you a happy and successful new year. 🎅🎁⛄🎉
So many people get that wrong ... money is NOT the root of all evil. The LOVE of money is the root of all evil! God recognizes that we need money to live and doesn't wish us to be destitute. In fact, his parable about the talents teaches us that he doesn't view money as evil. It's only when you love money more than you love God, does He consider it evil!
I was scoring 100% until #20.
Proverb I learned used the word "grasp" instead of "clutch" - made a mistake, didn't I??🤭🖖
Yes, me too.
@K. Patricia Hutt, your score was amazing! 🤗👍
Making mistakes is part of the learning process.
I got 16 out of 20 questions. They are good, but hard. Some I didn't understand though.
Yes, " The love of money is the root if all evil." So goes the quote. Actually, more accurate would be, " The LACK of money is the root of all evil.".
Q17 My interpretation of this proverb is that people LOVE to talk. While you're talking, they're thinking of only one thing: "What can I say next?" But if the person is actually listening, this is a compliment!
@Lauren Doe, 💯🤗👍
The need for money comes in second in the evil department
money is not the root of all evil. It is the LOVE of money that is the root of all evil.
I'm sooooo PROUD OF MYSELF!!!! I only got one wrong!!!!
Great job! That's a fantastic score. *@Liberty* keep up the good work!
Money is not the root of evil it's the love of it , that is so often misquoted
@Ethel Bradley, okay...noted! 👍
Wishing you a Merry Christmas!🎄🎅🎁
19/20. I missed the last one which I’d never heard before. I chose “grab,” which is actually the word used in your explanation. 🙄

The statement about money being the root of all evil should be reworded. However, the commentary’s explanation was true.
Got the #12 wrong, chose farmer than tailor. A lesson learned. Thanks for these proverbs quiz.
Well done, Alex Palma! 🤗👍
I'm glad you got value! Thank you for participating! 🙏
Valour .Not valor.
The clothes maketh the man not the tailor, at least it is in England.
@Steve, okay...noted! 👍
I got all the proverbs right except four 😌
Well done, Suzanne Braham! 🤗👍
Why can’t people quote the proverb correctly?! The love of money is NOT the root of all evil (some evil has absolutely NOTHING at all to do with money 🤦♂️) The love of money is the root of all KINDS of evil (1Tim.6:10) Simonline 🇬🇧😀👍
Q1, A) is in your head. Q2, A) walls stand, so they must have legs. Q3, A) is a card game for one player. Q4, A) can be very painful and lead to a root canal, Q5, A) East Orion is best, Q6, A) wi-fi. Q7, A) the sanitation department does both, Q8, A) the real answer is Desire is the root of all evil. The English mistranslated this Buddhist creed. There you go. If you’re not laughing, you’re learning. Q9, A) if you want to increase sales. Q10, A) nozzles for a living.
I missed number eleven and number 19.
Great job, Freda Childress! 🤗👍
Thank you for taking the quiz!
Some of these sayings aren’t really true. Absence doesn’t necessarily make the heart finder, it could be a breathing space for you and wish they’ll just remain gone. Another that most get wrong, is the so-called “money is root of all evil.” This is wrong, and it is not an English proverb, it is Biblical, and the correct quote is:”for the love of money is the root of all evil.”(1 Timothy 6:10).
Cool....THE LOVE OF MONEY is the Root of All Evil.....not MONEY
Misquote from scripture. First Timothy 6:10. The LOVE of money is the root of all injurious things, by reaching out for this love, many have been led away from the faith and stabbed themselves all over with many pains.
Stop misquoting scriptures. The Bible does not say that money is the root of all evil. Money is an inanimate object.
1st Timothy 6:10 For the LOVE of money is the root of all evil
Its the love of money is the root of all evil
Okay...noted! 👍
I did 16, very informative 👍
False, The LOVE of money is the root of ALL EVIL Read language your Bibles correctly 1 Timothy 6:10 look it up for the correction
The most misquoted verse. Everyone wants to forget about the loving part of greed for money.
God bless all whom reads and families eternally. I love you all as Jesus does. Be well, safe and happy, then walk complete in love.
P. S.
It's not material things we should love for, but the love for others, whether family, friends or enemies.
Proverb #8 is a misquotation of the biblical verse that declares “The LOVE of money is the root of all evil”. - 1 Timothy 6:10
18/20 is not bad....2 I had never heard of. I love these challenges!!
15/20 few never heard of. Fun quiz, good brain teasers. Enjoy doing them and learning something new each time.

I got 6 mistakes, next time i will get perfect, why? because i have seen it already😂😂😂😂😂😂
Clutch or grab..I don't get it,,cuz the word I read at uf explanation is grab,, instead of clutch..
i NOTICED THIS QUIZ THING ON YOU TUBE. FIRST QUESTION FLASING ON MY PCU WAS " MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL." NOW IF FOLKS WOULD GET THAT QUOTE CORRECT ( 90% DO NOT ). IT WOULD READ " THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL." IF YOU LIVE A NORMAL LIFE YOU CERTAINLY ARE NOT EVIL BECAUSE YOU NEED MONEY. AND BECAUSE YOU NEED MONEY TO LIVE IT CERTAINLY DOES NOT MAKE MONEY ITSELF EVIL. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, SURE CAN PUT THE SCREWS INTO YOUR LIFE. AND YET IT IS NOT EVIL IN IT'S SINGULARITY. LCG
The proverb is "the LOVE of money is the root of all evil", not "money is the root of all evil". Money is neutral, it can be for good or ill. I really wish people would get it right.
Why you put bible quotes in this thing and say that its english 😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈
Money is nit the root of all evil. The LOVE of money is the root of all evil. Get your story streight. Mark 2:27 & 28 will get you.

Great job, PEREGRINA! 🤗👍
Glad you enjoyed the quiz!
money is also a part of our life, reasons are: without money you cant pay rent so you will be homeless, no money no food or water, without food or water you will die, without money you cant pay for collegee, without money you cant pay for clothes, without money you cant do things you need money for! so dont say money is useless

MANKIND is definitely the root of all evil, methinks 🌝🌝
True there us a BIG difference between money is the root of all evil and the Love of money is the root of all evil. God wants us to use our money to provide and help others.
#8 The LOVE of money...is the root of all evil ...YOU Fail!!
The love of money...money of itself is not evil...it is the desire to accumulate it without thought of the means.
MONEY IS NOT THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL. THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL. SEE? EVERYWHERE YOU LOOK THINGS ARE CONTRADICTORY TO WHAT THE BIBLE ACTUALLY SAYS.
"The.."Love ".of....Money "....is.the.Root"..of. Evil"...Money.is.not."Evil"......666
Mr Patrick is spot on. See 1st
Timothy ch6 verse10; The Bible
20 for 20. Very easy. The best part for me was the music. Very relaxing

As they are English proverbs can you spell the correct way. It is Valour not Valor!
15, but you have one wrong it’s the love of money that’s the root of all evil it’s not money is the root of all evil just to let you know thank you
It's the LOVE of money which is the root of all evil - you misquote the quote!
It's actually, "The LOVE of money is the root of all evil."
Absence only makes the heart grow flnder in short periods of time.
The question should read, the LOVE of money is the root of all evil.
'
It's, "The "Love Of Money Is The Root Of All Evil!!!"
A drowning man...I have not heard of this before. I answered right even though.
The Scripture says the LOVE of money is the root of all evil.
19/20 also on 12 I have always heard ‘’the clothes make the man ‘’ not the tailor 🤨
Please correct the advert question money is the root of all evil, to read, the love of money is the root of all evil.
Is proverb 8 complete? Isn't it missing a choice word?
