Is the style of showing different? I live in Austin,Texas and were supposed to have constant eye contact with judge and we aren’t allowed to touch our pigs and can only use your whip.
It depends, if you are showing in any class besides showmanship you can do whatever it takes to get that pig moving with its head up, if you are showing in showmanship they want to see you work well with that pig with constant eye contact and have a solid fluent motion like youve been working with the pig for years

Same here in Houston my breeder is very big on showman ship but I won grand last year at my county show
