Heard these yesterday with mid-fo Rotel components. Sounded damn good. Excellent bass for their size.
A bunch of us at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest were bowled over by the Dali Oberon 7 demonstration there. We couldn't believe the bass they got out of those small towers, and the mids and highs were impressive as well.
And what about the used Amp??

Comapring this ones with the Borea BR08, for me sounds better Borea...Could be the result of using diffeente amps in both cases. Here you use Vitus and in Borea BR08 un Musical Fidelity M3. Thanks¡¡¡

Would these match well with arcam sa20?
I'd imagine they would be excellent, I'm running my 5s from a Rotel A12 mkII (80 w into 6 ohms) and they sound fantastic, the sa20 is 90 w at 8 ohms ie 120 w at 6 ohms (6 is the Dalis nominal impedance), in our 12 x 18 ft room I go just over 50% volume for a decent sound level, 60% is getting so loud the neibours complain!
Sound Sommelier, thank you for this test. I'm waitting for my Hegel H20, and i don't know yet which speaker i will choose to change my Davis Acoustics. You give me here an interesting suggestion of listening, with dali, as the Hegel you are using should sound quite the same , H590 , is it ?
Bobby CALDWELL Yes, that is a H590 but it’s not connected. The amp used in this video is a class A VITUS AUDIO RI 101

Bobby CALDWELL Please don’t make the (common) mistake to look for advices of which speakers to associate with an amplifier. In my humble opinion this is a wrong question. Unless we are talking about particular types of speakers (electrostatic, isodynamic, horn-loaded, ...), your healthy Hegel can wonderfully drive any kind of speakers out there. So the right question is: which speaker better suit your taste? Go and audition 👍 Or, if you tell me your budget, I can give you some useful advice, based on MY preferences (that could be very different from YOURS) ;-)
Sound Sommelier thank you for your quick answer. Of course, the best way is to listen. But it's difficult to carry a whole system in different shops to listen and make a choice. Your advices will give me a selection of speakers i will try to listen around here. I know the great number of electronics (and Hegel of course) you 've been listening, compared to me. That's why i will receive your advices with a great and objective pleasure even if our tastes could be different. Mu budget is no more than 3 700 €. I now usually listen, to your videos, and i can assess the kind of music and quality you appreciate (even for the wine...). Thank you for all.

I was thinking of buying these but am i the only one who think this sounds a bit high end tinny.
I dont like speakers with to much bass but these seem to have gone the other direction. The voice does not sound warm,,,unless ,I hope its just the reproduction..

Yeah same
He holds the camera close to the tweeter from above, increasing the highs, and he is playing with the grills off when Dali recommends leaving them on so that wold make for a more pleasant sound. Plus the recording and your speaker may give another picture than reality.

I had them and they were so bright I couldn't take it anymore. The letter S when pronounced was so piercing it gave me ear fatigue within 2 minutes. Sold them.

I heard Oberon 3 and 5 with Marantz NR1200. Oberon 5 plays flat without scene and bass. Oberon 3 is much better.

Sorry but why do people do this? When most of us are listening through a laptop, the sound is tinny, flat and just awful. Surely a description would serve a better purpose.
You can use good headphones. I don’t want people to tell me their opinions on what I have to listen to
