Oh wow, the Atlas II seems really nice! Those little things they changed (knobs, polar finder cap, handle...) are definitely a wonderful improvement from the original Atlas!
Looks like the Orion version of the Skywatcher EQ6-R. I have the Orion Sirius Mount and I am very happy with it. I’ll definitely consider the Atlas II when it’s time to upgrade. Thanks! 😀🔭
I personally do not like the threaded Cigarrette lighter adapter,the reason for them to come out easily is in case you DO trip over it it will not pull the entire machine over.
Unfortunately orion no longer has any of these mounts for sale. All of the Atlas and sirius mounts are discontinued on their website with no info on whether they will ever come back or not. Pretty bummed about this.

This mount is a great improvement over the old Atlas that I still use. Great equipment.

Couldn't find this mount on the site. The images all look like an older version, lacking a lot of the features shown here.
Does the Atlas II use the dual encoder system like the Atlas Pro?
Hi there. No, the Atlas II doesn't have a dual encoder system. But like you pointed out, we have that feature on the more advanced Atlas Pro.
Can you make a video about focal point, focal length etc.
Does this have the feature like Celestron all Star polar align? I'm at 10° latitude and tall trees/building makes it difficult to see Polaris.
