Lucky lady.. good job.. of course you never justify a sewing purchase..WE NEED them.. Just have fun.. when you get home.. Happy T-shirt dress sewing
Oh my gosh!! You will love this machine! It’s one of the main reasons I’m so stuck on knits!!! It’s so easy to use! Have fun!!! Hugs, Stephanie
Thanks! Hopefully it will help me learn to love knits a little more haha!
I’m so happy for you! You deserve to treat yourself!
Thank you so much Celia! 😊
I laughed when you said ‘I wanted it and I got it’. No need to justify to fellow sewers 😂.
Keep both sergers and use one for dark thread and one for light.
Enjoy 😊.
I know - fellow sewers "get it" 🤣. I'm not sure I have the space to keep both sergers out. But enough people have suggested I keep it as a backup that I'm definitely considering it!
Don't feel bad about splurging on a machine that will last you as long as you want. I indulge in a husky 905 some 15 years ago during early empty nest and only began using it in last few years with semi retirement. I had to get serviced after such a long wait but I can't tell you how thrilled I am to have such a quality machine. Mine is mechanical and no air thread but I don't even care now that I got threading it down. I'm still learning how to use it but I can make all kinds of knits. Just enjoy your hobby and have fun. You rock Michelle!!!!
Hi Julie! I think investing in a hobby that I spend so much time on is definitely worth it 😊. I've had plenty of hobbies that have come and gone quickly - but I've stuck with this one for a long time now and the desire isn't slowing down at all! That's so awesome that you have the threading down on your machine! I had gotten ok at it on my machine. And I'm sure I would have gotten proficient if I had given it enough time. But this machine just sews a nicer stitch and is so much quieter. The air threading is just a bonus haha! Thank you so much - YOU ROCK Julie 😊💕
Congratulations on an amazing serger!😍❤️
Thanks Robyn!! 😊
Exciting! A new serger♥️
Yes! And now I'm home from traveling so I'll spend the weekend playing 😊
That is a great price ! Have lots of fun with your new toy!
Thanks Michele! I'll be binge sewing on it this weekend haha!!
ahh looks fabulous! enjoy your new machine. rest up after all that travel, you're not the only one that gets worn out!
Thanks Emma! I'm going to be playing with it all weekend!!
Happy for you having your new "toy"; safe travels to Ohio and I'll look forward to your future videos. :-)
Hi Eileen! Thanks on all counts!! 😊💕
Between the machine and the class, you're going to do everything faster - I'll be interested to hear if you make stuff totally on the serger now. I've never been able to get away from using my regular machine and the serger both even on knits. Regardless, your life is going to be SO much easier! That air threading makes it a dream -
I have come close to sewing almost 100% on the serger but I still end up needing my machine for the top stitching. I AM getting better at sewing the neckband on without having to baste it first 😊
Fun! Looking forward to seeing some new knit clothing!😊
Haha - me too!!
Congratulations on the new serger it willl be exciting to use it
Thanks Robyn! I hope so!!
congrats on your new serger! how exciting.
Thanks Sara! I'm really eager to start playing with it! I wish I didn't have to travel this week!!
Congratulations on getting an air threader. It is a game changer. The one accessory I purchased for my serger that I love is the clear foot. I highly recommend it makes it easier to see what you are doing.🎉🎉
Thanks for the suggestion! I haven't checked out accessories yet but I'll keep that in mind when I do!!
I’m excited for you getting a new serger to use! Enjoy it ❤️
Thanks Cynthia 😊💕
Congratulations! Love your serger!! You're gonna have fun with it! 😃
Thanks so much Talisha! 😊. I'll have lots of fun with it this weekend!!
Congratulations
Thank you 😊
I have the same serger! I love mine, especially because it is a self threader! Enjoy your new machine!
Thanks Sandra!! I'll be playing with it all weekend!! 😊
Yay! It's beautiful 😍 have so much fun 💗
Thanks Jo!!😊
Nice machine 👍👍🥳🥳👏🏼 can’t wait to see you sewing on it .
Thanks Mirta! I'm so excited about it 😊
Congratulations!! How fun❤ and you don't have to justify your purchase to anyone..maybe your husband lol😉🤣 maybe..
I don't usually even justify them to him haha!
That was a good price. I bought a baby lock air threader many, many years ago and paid $1800.00 for it.
Thanks for validating the price for me! I thought it was a good price buy it feels good to hear it from someone else 😊
Congrats
Thanks!
Those expo shows are great, especially with sewing friends, but they are tiring. Congrats on your new serger! I kept my entry level Brother serger when I got my Babylock air thread one & love having it for light thread while my air threader has dark thread. Your hair looks great! Be safe traveling!
Thanks Tamara! A couple of people have recommended that I keep my current one as a backup. I hadn't thought of that but am now considering it. Thanks!
I’m so happy for you😀 cute top❤️
So fabulous! Happy Serging! 😊❤😊
Thank you so much Renee! 😊
Congratulations, Michelle!! This is fantastic, have fun with your new toy (once you return from your travels).
Hi Angela! Thanks - I'll be playing with the new serger all weekend 😊
@@MichelleSewsAgain So fun!
When you gave the teaser for the serger in the previous video I was intrigued! I think it'll serve you well, awesome purchase!
Also you are so close to 2K, woooohooooo you os deserve it!
Thanks Fatmata! I'm loving the serger so far 😊. And I'm shocked that I'm so close to 2k! 🥳
Congrats! 🎉 So happy for you! 🕺🏻 I got a new serger a couple months ago! Have a safe trip this week! 💜
Hi Andra! Thanks 💕💕. I'll be playing with the new serger all weekend now that I'm home for a while LOL 🤣
Looks super nice. You really got a great deal. My serger is exactly the same as your old one. In a couple years I'll take the plunge and get one with air threading. It's going to make such a big difference not to have to thread that lower looper. Safe travels🥰
Hi Shellie - my old one is a good machine! But I am excited to have the upgrade. I don't think I would have gotten it just yet if it hadn't been such a great deal. It was all in the timing!
Congrats on your new serger! I’m always tempted to upgrade my ancient one, but it’s hard to justify when I almost never sew knits. Your hair looks great in the video. Safe travels to OH. Save time on one of your trips to take a fabric shopping detour.
Hi Caroline! Part of my thought process was that I'll sew knits more often now that I have a nicer machine. BUT I use mine for every garment I sew anyway, even wovens. That's how I finish the seams. So it was worth it either way 😊
I have the same serger. Got it at the end of last summer. Why am I extremely pleased? Bought it for the air threader. Arthritis in my fingers made it almost impossible to thread lower loopers on my previous machine. Love the rolled hem. Unexpected pluses: the motor is definitely quiet AND the unit is heavy enough that it does not "walk around" while I am serging a long seam at a quicker speed. Looking forward to seeing some of the techniques that you learned at the expo!
Hi Sheila - I'm so glad to hear you're happy with your serger! It's good to hear that you are enjoying it.
That sounds like a really nice machine! Have fun with it!! I was totally wiped out for at least a day after I got home from the Sewing EXPO and I only went for one day! LOLOLOL...It was a good tired though; I had a lot of fun there!
Thanks Deb! It was definitely a good tired 😊. I'm really glad I got to meet you there!
Beautiful serger! 💗💗💗 Before you sell your former one, think about whether or not you want to keep it. It could be invaluable when you put the new one in for maintenance or repair. I often have both sergers threaded up at the same time for different purposes. 😂
Hi Lynn! That's a good thought to keep it as a backup for when the other one is in for maintenance. I'll have to think about that for sure!
Congrats Michelle I have been thinking about getting an air threader but I already have three manual threads that I use one with white thread, one with black and the last with Gray I find those three colours cover all of my making needs. I am Borking at getting another. Do you have a cover stitch?I have one I have never opened, because of the threading situation lol. Enjoy your new Machien
Hi Mayzie! 3 machines?!?! Wow!! I just use the variegated rainbow thread so I don't have to change the threads unless I run out 🤣. Since I mostly sew with multi color fabric, it works out! I do not have a cover stitch. That one would be hard to justify until I spend more time sewing knits. Hopefully the new serger will inspire me to sew knits more often!!
Welcome to your new baby! It's a beauty!!! Had so much fun with you girls!!
Thanks Trish! I had so much fun with you too! I'm so glad we finally got to meet in person!! 💕
Congrats on your new serger 😊😊😊😊
You are going to love the air threading
If you really want to step it up a notch you can get a utility feet set for it that will make you think why the heck you haven’t bought it sooner 😊😊😊😊
Take care of yourself 🧡
I can’t wait to see what you make with it.
Oh - I agree with Zara Light - keep the old one if you have the room for it as a backup.
Hi Marjun! Thanks so much for the suggestion on the utility feet set. I'll definitely check that out!
Absolutely no need to justify!
💕💕
So exciting! Congrats on the new purchase. Can’t wait to hear how you get on with it.
Thank you so much!!
Congratulations on your new machine! I upgraded the serger I had been using for over 20 yrs a couple of years ago. It is still so exciting to use my machine. Lol the air threading is soooo nice. I gave my old machine to a friend who was just starting her sewing journey, but I know several people who have a second one set up with a different color thread so they can use them both. So, that could be a thing you could do. But the air threading makes it really fast to change thread so it's not to bad. Good luck recovering from traveling, I understand how hard to can be.
Hi Shirette! That's great to hear that I will probably still be excited to sew with my serger for several years! Yes, a couple of people have suggested I keep the old machine for different color thread. I don't really have room to keep both machines out on the table. But I am now considering keeping it as a backup in case I have to put the new one in for repair or maintenance. Not a bad idea. I think spending the weekend sewing will help me recover from all the traveling! 🤣.
Congrats on the new purchase. I'm happy for you having a new serger. You might want to keep the "old" one as a backup, if you have a place for it. I always change the threats on my serger depending on the color of the garments I make. It never occurred to me, to use one color of thread for all garments pieces. 🤣 Well, I guess I like the matching color with the garments as well, however, it is always a battle to change the threats. Even for this purpose, I would keep a second serger around. 😉
Hi Zara! You are the second person to recommend I keep it as a backup. I'll have to consider that but I don't like having "clutter" around and I wouldn't keep a second one out just for threads. But I'll definitely take it under advisement!! Thanks 😊
Congratulations on your new serger! I’m new to your channel and looking forward to your upcoming videos. I get wiped out after traveling too! Hope you catch up on your rest and have a good work trip.
Hi Karen! Thanks so much for checking in! There's no rest for the weary, right? 🤣
