Ok I came here because I saw this video reshared on facebook. I have to ask - for a couple that didn't do a Latin routine in a professional Latin category... how well did they place? It was mostly Disco/Melbourne Shuffle, and Latin stepwork thrown in as afterthought for transitions. The man practically didn't do any Latin steps (that I could see), but the woman did most of the actual Latin stepwork. Don't get me wrong, Shuffling isn't easy, but how is it appropriate for a Latin ballroom dancing routine? (I'm not an expert, but my parents were semi-professional ballroom dancers longer than I've been alive, and I also did some Latin ballroom as well when I was younger)
