I have actually stitched the Cardinal twice -- once for my mom and then once for me at my husband's request. I changed the colors though to be more cool colors. He is a really fun and satisfying stitch!
I also don't have project bags -- Ziploc is my friend!
I've only ever stitched two patterns twice, and they were very special. The cardinal definitely fits the bill, I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
(And yesss we're Ziploc buddies haha 😄)

Oh my such awesome patterns you have! As I’m watching I see the headless horsemen and I say to myself I have to get that pattern I love that! Then it hits me ? I bought that pattern 😮. I absolutely LOVE everything u show😊! That cardinal one from blackbird has been on my mind alot lately and I'm super tempted to get that book lolol... but I did just have a rather large retail therapy spree from 123stitch, so I'm TRYING to behave for at least a little bit, but that never seems to work for me 😂 I just want to kit up and start EVERYTHING!! I got grand plans 😜
I do the exact same as you with the dmc- I have a master set and work out of that and only buy extras as I need em or if a project calls for more than 1 skein.

I am stitching DBCS. It was the first long dig I saw and just like you I couldn’t believe it. I started it back in 2018 or 2019 and am at about 45%. I think after I finish my full coverage I’m focusing on I will get that out and try to work on it some each day to finally finish. Start it! Because it takes a long time 😂
