Die Hard UK fan here... but Wiggins is a once a decade type talent. That's not a slam on Randle... if not for Wiggins, Randle would be the No1 player in a LOADED class. They'll both be fun to watch this upcoming season. I'm still a huge Andrew Wiggins fan.
Wiggins will have alot more trouble guarding Randle than Randle guarding him. Randle is a mannn in that post, but Wiggins speed and agility for his size is outstanding
First off, sportsace, John Wall when healthy last year and playing, the wizards had the 4th best wining percentage in the league.... Now, to my point, wiggins didn't get beat 1 on 1, he made way more defensive plays required at the NBA level. Did not see anything but blocks that didn't turn the ball over by Randle, while I see better positioning and floor vision on defense by Wiggins. That, and wiggins realizes there are 5 people on his team and randle only can play in the isolation.
wiggins looks to be the next real thing, pure skill and athleticism. randle is currently the biggest skilled player in high school, he's gonna get bucket in any gym
Kentucky has a great program for players of this talent level. More importantly, Calipari really takes care of these young players. He is very protective of them, he mentors them, and he helps them reach their goals, what ever they may be. Add to that his incredible ability to coach and get these young players playing as a team, it is just amazing. With the class of freshmen they have already sighed, the addition of either Wiggins or Randle will make them the finest group of freshmen ever!!
I was at this game, the place was packed. Wiggins impressed me, more than Randle did. Don't forget Wiggins is only a Junior this year. I will hopefully seem him next summer at the 2013 Peach Jam.

They actually had some of the best high school players at that time on both of their AAU squads. Xavier Rathan Mayes played on C.I.A. Bounce too and he is good. The highlights were mainly of Wiggins and Randle, so of course they "shined" the most in the vid
I agree with Thomas, and I'm a huge UK fan. I will say that the ACC only has one more championship than UK if we are being inclusive. Remember, one cannot live in the past. I'd say that the SEC's best and the ACC's best have generally been neck and neck for the past 4 years.

His IQ and ball handling are far greater and leaping ability, although they both have "bounce", wiggins surpasses him also. Randle has raw strength and incredible athletic ability but there really isn't much comparison
I get what your saying. However, Cauley-Stein, Poythress, and Goodwin said that they might return for another season. It wouldn't be fair for James Young to come off the bench unless Poythress is planning to play in the nba. Look at the rosters for next season. Plus, it is kinda fun playing for a national title and bringing home of those monster championship rings! Andrew Wiggins is the best High School guard in probably 15 years. He'll average 25-30 points a game as a freshman in college and be the #1 pick. Doesn't matter what class he ends up in, he'll be #1 and then be #1 pick in draft. He's just that good.

In my opinion, its a long shot since Randle chose KY. Michael Jordan is also trying to recruit him to UNC. Also, MSU is also making a late run at Andrew Wiggins. Wiggins want to play a lot of minutes since hes going to be the #1 pick in 2014.
I remeber on one of the megazines a few weeks back they said the same thing about Jabari Parker I hope they get a chance to play on another rather it be AAU, highschool, or College.
I think Kentucky would be the best place for Randle. No one could afford to double team him there. If they did, they would get pounded by another super player. Calipari knows how to best use the talent he has, and prepares his players for the next level better and faster than any coach alive. He also knows how to get them to play like a team. Randle whould thrive in the dribble-drive. No doubt that with Randle, Kentucky would be playing for a National Title. They probably will anyway.

Randle is just a physical BEAST. Reminds me of a more unstoppable lebron, at this age. Lebron wasn't as buff as randle at his age, he was kind of lanky like wiggins. But if wiggins can get some weight on him like lebron did, and if randle can get some range, these two can dominate the league for years...

Not a blatant offensive foul. I've seen Rajon Rondo not only use his off arm frequently proceeding to the lane but he also uses his elbows while driving to push off of defenders. Its never called. And if they were gonna call it on anyone, it would be him. Which brings me back to the 9% number.

Every young kid dreams of the opportunity to play for UK, IU, Duke, UNC, UCLA, KU, etc. These programs recruit themselves regardless of who the coach is. And while I'd love for Wiggins to come down and give us a good season, I'd rather have a #25 guy come in and spend three or more years any day. Wiggins is just like 19 year old LeBron. And regardless of what team he goes to anywhere, no matter who is starting (UK included) the kid will play 30-35 minutes a game.
