- Here is the much anticipated match up from the Nike Peach Jam, Andrew Wiggins vs. Julius Randle. Julius fouled out of the game in over time with 15 points, giving Andrew Wiggins an easier 81-80 victory. Wiggins ended the game with 28 points.

Wiggins looks unstoppable. Better ball handler, shooter, finisher, defensively, athletically and only slightly behind in the post.
Kentucky has a great program for players of this talent level. More importantly, Calipari really takes care of these young players. He is very protective of them, he mentors them, and he helps them reach their goals, what ever they may be. Add to that his incredible ability to coach and get these young players playing as a team, it is just amazing. With the class of freshmen they have already sighed, the addition of either Wiggins or Randle will make them the finest group of freshmen ever!!

I was at this game, the place was packed. Wiggins impressed me, more than Randle did. Don't forget Wiggins is only a Junior this year. I will hopefully seem him next summer at the 2013 Peach Jam.

Die Hard UK fan here... but Wiggins is a once a decade type talent. That's not a slam on Randle... if not for Wiggins, Randle would be the No1 player in a LOADED class. They'll both be fun to watch this upcoming season. I'm still a huge Andrew Wiggins fan.

two blocks in a row for AW was a nice beginning statement 1:36 . The dunk at the other end right after was the closer.
They actually had some of the best high school players at that time on both of their AAU squads. Xavier Rathan Mayes played on C.I.A. Bounce too and he is good. The highlights were mainly of Wiggins and Randle, so of course they "shined" the most in the vid
But both still great players, amazing at what parts of the game they know they can excel at!
I love how Wiggins didn't showboat or anything after getting back to back blocks. I hope he stays this humble in the nba

I remeber on one of the megazines a few weeks back they said the same thing about Jabari Parker I hope they get a chance to play on another rather it be AAU, highschool, or College.

The difference in skill and potential between Wiggins and Randle is amazingly HUGE.
wiggins looks to be the next real thing, pure skill and athleticism. randle is currently the biggest skilled player in high school, he's gonna get bucket in any gym
I think Kentucky would be more fun and a better learning experience for Wiggins. Calipari takes care of his players both on the court and off the court. Plus, it is kinda fun playing for a national title and bringing home of those monster championship rings! Wiggins could learn a lot in one year playing for Calipari and the other talented players he has recruited. Good luck young man, where ever you go!

Wiggins will have alot more trouble guarding Randle than Randle guarding him. Randle is a mannn in that post, but Wiggins speed and agility for his size is outstanding
I agree with Thomas, and I'm a huge UK fan. I will say that the ACC only has one more championship than UK if we are being inclusive. Remember, one cannot live in the past. I'd say that the SEC's best and the ACC's best have generally been neck and neck for the past 4 years.

I've had the privilege to see both these guys a few times this season and as good as they both are, right now, there is NO QUESTION Wiggins is the better athlete and player. His IQ and ball handling are far greater and leaping ability, although they both have "bounce", wiggins surpasses him also. Randle has raw strength and incredible athletic ability but there really isn't much comparison

In my opinion, its a long shot since Randle chose KY. Michael Jordan is also trying to recruit him to UNC. Also, MSU is also making a late run at Andrew Wiggins. Wiggins want to play a lot of minutes since hes going to be the #1 pick in 2014.

I get what your saying. However, Cauley-Stein, Poythress, and Goodwin said that they might return for another season. It wouldn't be fair for James Young to come off the bench unless Poythress is planning to play in the nba. Look at the rosters for next season.

The high school class of 2013 is one of the more underrated in a long time Aaron Gordon is the NBA champion Joel Embiid is the MVP Julius Randle is in All-Star. Andrew Wiggins is also a NBA champion.
It's very common for players with talent like andrew to be extremely obnoxious, but after watching videos of this kid its great seeing that he isnt.

Andrew Wiggins is the best High School guard in probably 15 years. He'll average 25-30 points a game as a freshman in college and be the #1 pick. Doesn't matter what class he ends up in, he'll be #1 and then be #1 pick in draft.
He's just that good.

I think Kentucky would be the best place for Randle. No one could afford to double team him there. If they did, they would get pounded by another super player. Calipari knows how to best use the talent he has, and prepares his players for the next level better and faster than any coach alive. He also knows how to get them to play like a team. Randle whould thrive in the dribble-drive. No doubt that with Randle, Kentucky would be playing for a National Title. They probably will anyway.
Wiggins gets the ball at 0:15 and it takes him 3 dribbles to get 3/4 the court distance. Plus he's high enough to dunk it at 0:19 That's insane athleticism
