These are the only reviews I watch. I completely ignore channels that immediately hate or have dumb thumbnails. I can tell they’re picking a side and not reviewing the game. I like how you actually REVIEWED the game. Pros & cons… and left it up to the audience to purchase. Most of these other reviewers are trash. They’re becoming fake & preemptive & biased or paid. Your channel will grow because of that. It’s the opposite of those channels
You're the dumb one then because most of those channels hate for very very good reasons that normies are too dumb to notice until they've already spent 70 dollars
It runs at 30fps and drops to 24 most the time on my ps5 and is only barely 720p…this game is horrible and I paid for a next gen game that looks worse than ps4 games. This game isn’t good and this is a horrible review and I hope no one listens and buys this game like I did
No. A bad game deserves to be talked bad about. $75 for this type of "Next Gen" game is unacceptable. That's why companies do whatever they want with gamers.
Thank you so much for a truly honest review! All the other reviews I have seen have been either let's jump on the hate it for the sake of hating it bandwagon or they don't give enough information to really give me the ability to decide if I want it enough for 70 dollars. This is definitely a wait for sale for me and I appreciate you my brutha!
There's multiple very good reviews and all of them agree it's a bad game. And in my opinion I agree with that 1000% square enix has some serious talent I've said that 3 times now lol. I'm not sure what they were doing with this game. But I do love this reviewer and usually agree with him
Last one was Cyberpunk for PS4 as I thought they would stick to the quality they had with the Witcher series and I've always liked the Cyberpunk esthetic. Never again.
@@ericdugal8818 Cyberpunk was my first and last game I preordered, but to be fair, I did enjoyed that game even on release. It was far far away from quality of Witcher 3, but it was good enough for me to be worth the money.
@@ericdugal8818 Cyberpunk 2077 was and is STILL an incredible" Cyberpunk" game from the aesthetic and ambience point of view. However, they hyped it WAYYY too much. Frankly, the technical issues were completely unacceptable but the game was a pretty good RPG experience thanks to its characters and story. But again, that game was not only way too hyped but also unfinished. Even if the result isn't "too bad", i will not forgive the disgusting communication they had on it.
@@Zripas I still like the game too as it's been mostly fixed, could barely play it on release though, but just wouldn't have pre-ordered it if I had known the quality was so bad at the beginning and won't pre-order games anymore because of it.
@@ThoA45 Oh yeah, still like the game, just wouldn't have pre-ordered it as it was almost unplayable on release for me, and won't for any other games because of how bad said release was. I'll wait to see after it comes out from now on even if I like the company making it.
Hogwarts Legacy is incredible and engaging as heck! One of the most enjoyable game in decades and it made me become a Harry Potter fan. I can’t put the game down!
It should be called: “Mirror’s Jumper” with Force lightening and cloaks at a rate at which Fallen Order provides us with ponchos. Hogwarts Legacy is a flawless game and made me finally love the Harry Potter Universe. Forspoken can’t compete, you can just run in circles and shoot with your gauntlet and the game is repetitive and boring, on top of making me fall asleep while playing it lol.
The game does look fun, and thanks for a detailed and honest review! I think I will still wait for this to be discounted, but it is definitely on my radar!
That’s what I said I just played the demo and me nd my wife love it we gonna get it I mean I see people bad mouth the game and crying because the game deluxe edition cost 94$ but then they spend 99$ on games makes me laugh
I’m just glad this reviewer actually played the game 💎 so they could give an accurate and honest review. Everyone else is just trash at rpgs and trying to follow a fad. It’s a shame so many people are going to miss out.
@@chuckrichardson83 at the very least them said content creators and streamers whom been playing games and making content for years long before the likes of you. Their reviews and critics are meaningful. They know when a game is bad and when a game is semi good but also bad. Literally there's a freaking youtube video called "Streamers react/review to Forspoken"
This was the review I was looking for! I've been looking at the reviews and the long form gameplays, wondering, "why are people acting like this is the worst thing ever?" It doesn't seem overly "woke," from the couple hours I've seen. The combat and traversal looks like it becomes extremely impressive later on and the story is the main question I had left. I know it's not the best dialouge, but it was far from the worst. We've put up with horrible voice acting for decades, but all of a sudden this is too far? I'm just confused about the hate. I think a lot of it is people mad their PCs can't run the game and the sad part is that it seems relatively bug free. Every review I've watched has had no mention of serious bugs, which I thought would be applauded. I really think they put a ton of work into this. I want to give it a shot and try it for myself. The game will probably drop to $50 really quick because of the reviews and at that point, I'll give it a shot. I might pick it up before, even.
It is when they slap a $70 price Tag on it. Dealing with horrible voice acting for decades? Lol what. You really wanna tell me titles like God of war, red dead redemption, fuckin Spiderman, horizon ZD/FW or any other next Gen titles in recent years have horrible voice acting? I think it's the most unbelievable thing that within the gaming community there's people actively lowering the high quality standards that are set by hardworking talented developers who don't have a lack of respect for the gamers. I know you wanna look at things with a veil of positive ignorance and I am cool with that. I can even get behind the game with you IF they weren't charging PREMIUM prices for SUB STANDARD products. That's not okay and it SHOULD be shamed and 🟥Enix should be discredited until they either make the game $50 or learn to develop titles and polish them in time to make their corporate greed deadline for release date.
@@theOneandOnlyhomieG Do you go to the movies only to see the very best movies or do you sometimes just see a mediocre movie because it's mindless fun? I mean maybe you do now, because you know Cvid and all that, but you get what I'm saying? I don't know. I'm probably going to wait for a sale on it, but I'm just saying video games haven't had the best voice acting and stories. I'm kind of a fan of gameplay and traversal. The game looks fun to play , imo. The other cringe stuff is just funny to me.
Yeah, I get that it's bad according to most people but I just can't trust them when they are complaining about it because it's popular to do so. Not saying the game is good or bad but just saying that people are making a lot of 10 min videos talking about how bad the dialogue is because It gets views and people watching them aren't forming their own opinions since they keep seeing the same videos saying the same stuff over and over again.
@@RyuKazeko Whenever any the higher ups are in agreement, over one particular topic, it's always good to take a second look. That applies to game journalists/reviewers and goes all the way up to politicians. At the end of the day, the people we get our reviews from are an incredibly small group, who are looking to please the mob and their sponsors. If the mob has decided the game is bad, without even playing it, and then the reviewers are spewing the same sentiments? It makes you wonder if they're allowing the people who never played the game to affect their decision, so they can stay in good graces with the "fans."
I was one of the few that thought the Demo was fun. But after all the negative reviews I wasn’t going to get it. After this review though I felt the same about the demo. The combat was fun to me and made me want to start from the beginning to see how the tutorials help. Now I am going to get it. Just haven’t decided if it will be day one
When you start it from the beginning and get to experience the main character's backstory and start to relate to her, you begin to understand the chip on her shoulder. They become more relatable and actually more likeable. The demo was fun because it dropped you in the middle of the game with lots of powers and gear and allowed you to max your character level. But that was also the main shortcoming. It dropped you right in the middle, offering very little context to Frey and her situation. It made her constant cynicism and abrasive attitude more off-putting and less bearable because there's no character development in that segment. I think a combination of cultural divide and language barriers from the writing team also posed challenges in that department. Ella Balinska is a remarkable actress and in her defense, she seemed to be doing her best with what the writers and director gave her to work with.
@johndodo2062 Everything is derivative of something no matter how little people want to admit it. It's these genre tropes that are commonplace in the isekai genre. The "Never Ending Story" effect. Social misfits, orphans or outcasts transported through the proverbial "Alice In Wonderland rabbithole". To pretend like loads of anime and JRPGs don't have tons of cliches too is just having selective memory and a double standard. Regardless, most people orphaned or outright abandoned since infancy would have that chip on their shoulder. At least most who I've known in life. Having that background is ultimately going to make someone socially awkward in most cases. Frey's character was no different. You call it "manufactured" because maybe you can't relate. But she comes around anyway and it really doesn't have any bearing on the fun factor of the game except to the most anal retentive people.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm REALLY enjoying the game. The story isn't as grand as final fantasy but it definitely let's you have fun in the power fantasy sense
i replayed the game again and enjoyed it more in my 2nd playing.. UA-cam should label ALL fake reviewers / clickbaiters with warning there's 'LIe INSIDE'
Really one of the few games where I am really hyped and also non-hyped at the same time. And I still dont know if I want to buy it early or wait for sales+patches
I tried the demo using subtitles and the Japanese voice acting and found it an infinitely better experience than the English dialogue. I feel like most of the voice direction from Square teams are pretty hit or miss. I wonder if the story is less grating if you try a different translation.
I pre ordered it and I'm 15 hours in . And it is getting better as you play. Real good game. Dialogue is a bit annoying but good game over all. Good review mate. 🤘
To be honest I think people expect too much of things at times. I had alot of fun with this game and I haven't even fought Sila yet. The dialogue isn't as bad as people actually make it out to be and the gameplay is super fun and engaging. Everyone talks about repetitiveness but literally every game has some component that is repetitive lmao. Also I don't think someone's subjective review of a game should deter you from trying something. Games are highly subjective. Until you try it yourself you'll never know.
I completely agree too the story isnt the greatest but it is atleast moderately engaging. I enjoyed the gameplay a lot though, the amount of spell options you get once you unlock everything is pretty large and the traversal is really fun. Being able to do so many different things while just moving makes it so much more engaging to explore and collect things. It definitely didn't deserve the hate it got
For me, the pros and cons you stated BOTH matter to me. Im on the fence, and with it being on sale for $40 atm, i still dont think that's cheap enough for me to purchase. I played the demo absolutely ADORED the combat how flashy it was and how smooth it was to zip around anywhere. But, i found the battles not engaging. Fun/cool but not difficult. Also i love me some cutscenes and good voice acting and great characters. I hear her relationship with cuff is annoying af.. and like theyre the main cast how do they pull that off?? Lol😂 I wish they combined the battle machanics from forspoken with kingdom hearts and final fantasy... everything. Lol
Got the Platinum Trophy with about 80 Hours. I found it Very Fun. It was just what I expected it to be, an Ability Spamming Game. I Love the Combat, It's So Fun. I for One Flowed with it. Looking forward to the DLC and the New Abilities!!
Thank you for the first really honest review I see for days. I am into the game for 11hours (PS5)and I really enjoy it so far and looking forward. Yes the wheel isn’t reinvented but the traversal and the fighting is so good in my opinion. Can’t understand the hate for this game . Yes it’s not perfect but it’s refreshing and cool and enjoyable if you play more and more ✌🏼
Thanks for the review yeah ill definitely pick this up during sale and not that many games coming out. I like the gameplay and the dialogue is alright but idk if I’m willing to risk $70 for it rn especially with hogwarts right around the corner.
Most definitely! There is a great deal to accomplish and/or tackle, believe it or not! Besides all of the monuments, labyrinths, settlements, caves, forts, etc. that are available to visit and acquire gear/special items, I became obsessed with upgrading spells, a few cloaks and necklaces! Completing skill challenges to increase stats can absorb a great deal of your time but the effort is well worth it during combat!
Spiderman was alot of fun and I truly don't see much difference between people's complaints about this game and what Spiderman brought to the table other than an established character. If this game is even remotely like Spiderman then it'll be fun to play and satisfying. It won't break anything but it'll be fun.
A narrative mistake can be fixed with dlc which expands the world and protag matures as world grows but a gameplay and combat should be good and if Forspoken gets that right then it's fine.
@@the-annoyinator Forspoken is a WRPG with JRPG party system core. That is why it feels a bit weird. When u westernize a eastern gaming concept / easternize a western gaming idea it will never work. That is why Western RPG's are boring in general with a few exceptions since the idea itself is more materialistic rather than thought. Western narratives in all their media is dramatic and convened through setpieces and lengthy dialog so basically the environment is doing the heavy lifting not the Protag / MC and narrative tone is entirely dependent on that to progress the story. Eastern narratives in all their media do have the same kind of idea but it's delivered more philosophically which stems from the individual not from the environment for most part so the protag/MC is doing the heavy lifting for the most part along with the environment. U can see the difference in how the whole lang and cultural barrier affects something in translations , Any eastern lang has only a few syllabes and most are dialects first then written so the message is convened in short way as possible. English being written lang first then spoken has a lengthy dialog to just get to the point that is why the background of the lang plays a important role in the game's narrative especially if it's a western civilization setting for the MC.
@@the-annoyinator did u get what I meant by the comment? I do kinda agree with u but again from my prev point , my original post was just a centrist feedback on the game when the gamer community collectively decided that it was pile of thrash just from narration which created a hate train that every western gamer & reviewer jumped on and vomitted the same without thinking for themselves. And said my piece on how it could be improved that's it and didn't say it *needs Dlc to make sense of plot* but to *progress the story and mature it in a different way* since damage is already done and that can't be changed.
@@ak-ub1ym People critiqued the boring combat, that only gets better near the end of the main story 7+ hours in. Dialogue even completely unrelated to the story was garbage, even the story itself was bland and predictable without the cringe narration. Acting as if all the negative feedback was from mindless reviewers who didn't want to be open minded is ironically the same thing fans of this game seem to be doing. Everyone gave the same criticisms on the game because they're so vast in it
@@aaronvasseur6559 I've been far more impressed with HL then Forspoken, they barely showed anything with this game before launch, everyone knew it was gonna be bad.
Unless you really wanted a solid story and good character dialogue. The gameplay is a 4/5, but the story and dialogue are a 1/5. It's hard to get through at times. Plus, the beginning of the game was like a solid hour of gatekeeping before I could actually play anything meaningful.
@DavisLP no. It's almost like there's an hour of nonsense plot, with terrible useless characters who are poorly acted, and a lackluster introduction to an empty world that is boring. If you like it, good for you.
@@MrSneakyPants The world really is cold, empty and boring. Look at Forbidden West's world. Completely lush and alive. Warm sun, bumblebees, dragonflies and lightning bugs, tons of animals and machines, numerous items to find. This is NOTHING like that.
As a newbie is gaming, l just loved this game as it did not stop me from playing it ( most of the most difficult ones usually let me down bu telling me ‘You Died’!! For more than 200 times (Elden Ring… hahaha. I am aware that I need to have more experience to play more difficult games. Anyway, I loved the graphics, the storyline and everything. 100% for a person who is just starting becoming familiar with this kind of games.
Got this game on sale through Epic. I'm about three and a half hours in- I Iove it! I really like the unique spin on the protagonist and at times Frey's commentary makes me LOL. Also, the combat is great and all the crafting and magic systems seem up to par. I'm really enjoying it!
Watching the reviews on other UA-camrs, putting a doubt on myself, am I weird for liking the game? Yes the main characters is unlikeable, but she's understandable. Yes the cutscenes sometimes undesirable, but never troublesome. I play the game with the lowest expectation, and I found myself playing 8 hours nonstop last night. I stop because I needed to sleep in the morning 😂 Yes, the game is not perfect, but I really enjoy playing it.
Appreciate you reviewing the actual game instead of just focusing on one thing you don't like. Gameplay is always number 1 for me. I don't care about dialogue but it's all the reviewers are talking about.
For real, I’ve been playing the game a bit and honestly most of the dialogue is just inoffensive and forgettable. Only a few lines have felt cringe-y. The gameplay is fun so I’m personally enjoying it
Me too games like these i could care less about the story, if the fighting is fun and gives you a lot of options and combinations i find that to be a strong suit for a game like this, not to mention the traversal is really fun
People must and need to appreciate different kind of games and combat. Some people must understand that there is no need to compare different kind of games because every game is with its own way special.
@@jakemk1660 Perhaps I haven't seen some of the reviews you're talking about, and I'm not trying to attack you for what you're saying but I don't get where this is coming from where now if people don't like a certain game, it's only because it doesn't live up to another game. I don't see how that's the case when many reviewers give breakdowns about games based on their own individual merits more often than not. I just don't understand that.

Honestly man.. I’ve been so hyped for this game since I heard abt it and when the demo dropped I played it and made the decision to buy it when it drops (unlike Gow Ragnarok which I pre-ordered😏), but then when the reviews and critics came out for forspoken I was in utter awe bc I loved the gameplay from the demo that then made me hold my purchase and continue watching valid reviews of the game but they were all “trashing” the game giving audiences the “don’t buy it’s whack” feeling.. But your Video really delivered man.. pros/cons and expectations.. You my friend just earned a new subscriber🫳🏼❤️
I like the style of the particle effects. But it has way too much of them. It often seems to obscure what is actually happening during battle. Combined with the big numbers pop up for damage (which feels very out of place and immersion breaking for me) and the whole thing just looks messy and way overdone, and kind of aggravating to even look at.
I love the look of the gameworld. The effects look nice. But as a PC player it looks like a console game - from the UI to the combat and I absolutly hate it.
I finished the story last night and now I can just explore athia...I liked this game, but I definitely think it is worth waiting for a sale. The graphics are pretty, combat is fun and interesting to explore. I wish the story lasted longer and was a bit deeper to be honest. I got the game on Monday and beat it Wednesday night. Now I'm like "...now what?" lol. The reviews are definitely unfair - I hope a second game comes out and they do better but this is definitely a good start. I rate it personally 6.5-7/10.
Im really glad we got a truly brutal honest review from someone who actually played the game. I enjoyed the demos gameplay immensely and whenever i see reviews saying its clunky i don't get it at all. You just solidified my choice in buying this game so Thank You !! Can't wait to try it out 😁
If you are expecting other games to have the same level of art direction and execution as Ghost of Tsushima you are living in a fantasy world, not Fray. Great review good balance.
You are one of my fav youtubers, and this is why, thanks, Khraze! I am set to buy it tomorrow and start playing, can't wait. I was disappointed to hear about your cons but I really want an intense game with fast combat that isn't doom. This is looking to be just that, thanks.
Hey. How are you finding the game? I am thinking of getting it at my local store it has been discounted HEAVILY. I am also torn between Atomic Heart and this.
Hating on this game is just a trend, this game has some of the absolute most top tier combat, traversal mechanics and graphics/visuals I’ve ever had the pleasure of interacting with. The biggest problem this game has is the map design and mission design, it’s repetitive and empty but I’m someone who’s focused on combat and traversal and this game nails that. The story and dialogue is nowhere near as bad as people have been led to believe. On my PC I’ve had absolutely no performance issues with all settings on max and I don’t even have a top tier PC. I love this game, it’s unfortunate there’s so many people who will never be willing to try it and just follow the trend.
@@Khrazegaming alex was my first though, but it better matches the infamous series because of the electricity and all the other different elements ect. but I do prefer alex over the other 2 but I'll take any of them
Square Enix really needs a major shake up. They don't ever learn from their mistakes and can't write a good story to save themselves. Other than ff everything they develop is mid tier at best
I dont get the hate for real i played through it without any complains plot twist fun combat little bit short once you unlock new magic your path goes to the next magic and so on it would be nice to stick longer to one kind of magic for longer but theres enough to do for sure
I’m getting the same vibe from most good reviewers worth watching and basically: it’s a fun game. Great combat, great parkour, cool effects. It has Brilliant moments. But everything else outside of gameplay is lacking, some things being still passable, others laughably underwhelming. And if your looking for more simplistic gameplay this definitely isn’t for you. For me, it’s a wait for a sale. I still want it! Just not for the initial price tag.
No they calling out a game if it's not good like a good reviewer should. People who sing praises for things that doesn't deserve it lacks any credibility and critical thinking skills
It's cool to enjoy something that other people don't like, but stop saying people just want to hate something. Why would somebody want to just hate a game? Y'all act like he was just sitting there saying nothing about why he didn't like it.
I love this game. Haven't quite beat it yet, but I'm right at the end where Frey (you) makes your choice. I will say I play on PS5 on fidelity mode. And I notice no drop in fps at all. It all runs smoothly and looks beautiful
The game just went on sale for around $40 on Steam so I went ahead and bought it and so far, I really like the game though I do see where the game needs improving. Especially thanks to your review. This isn't worth $70 at all but $40? I am not complaining.
I'm playing Forspoken because I like the parkour and combat system. What I noticed though is the messed up setting. Our protagonist, in her own words, led a "royally fvcked" life which in turn made her very toxic. She was on the verge of giving up then suddenly she was sent to another world to become its Savior. Our protagonist herself was not accepting of the role. She wanted to go back even though she lived a messed up life. The protagonist came to me as very toxic but it is understandable considering how "royally fvcked" her life was. I feel like the writers were going through their own issues while making the plot lol. Luminous Productions nailed the combat system though.
I tried the demo and was immediately put off by the disconnect of the voice actors. It felt like a game that wants to do everything, but nothing really good.
This game is fun…. Easy to play. Many options, great graphics, good story. Elden ring made me scream! -a 41 year old man, who works too much, has other hobbies such as working on cars, has a social life and finds time for a few minutes a day for a game. (And concerts, opera, drinking with friends etc etc).
I got it today and thanks to you for showing the positive side of the game. All I've heard were the negative thoughts when they played the demo. This is the real thing now the finished product. They gave out bad reviews when Sonic Frontiers came out too until they started playing it and finished it then they loved it. Thanks so much for this review. I pre ordered mine 5 months ago and I'm happy. I don't listen to reviews only positive ones.
That's not even close to what happened. You're describing two of the most mid games available and acting like they are goty. It's fine if you like it, but you're in the minority and that's just reality chief
I was honestly getting upset with everything I saw on UA-cam because all the reviews were biased and inaccurate. This is the only review that I have actually seen that is accurate and true. I myself have played the game a little and honestly agree with this review completely aside from the dialogue I actually enjoy hearing Frey and cuff speaking to each other but that’s me btw they put in a setting to make that minimal so it doesn’t happen as much during combat
I pre ordered this and I'm happy I did everyone's hate aside . I've been wanting a game that is just open world mass magic usage as a primary weapon with awesome movement. I loved the demo . Doesn't have to be some visual masterpiece . I loved the combat and movement and I'm glad a game exists for the itch I have for exactly this. Can't wait until 11 so I can have some fun :) I'm also just a sucker for square. I mainly play ffxiv. I think if they make a second forspoken and focus alittle bit more on the environment being more immersive it will tick a lot more of people's boxes.
@DaProdigy2208 I pre ordered that as well but that's a different kind of magic based weaponry . I mean like raw elemental magic no wands just straight blasting shit out of existence with aoe spells from your hands . Plus the movement adds to the flow of combat, which I think is pretty unrivaled for me at least . I haven't played a single other game where u can traverse the way you can in this game and it blends perfectly into the combat as well . I have 0 regrets so far getting it . I've been playing it the past 5 hours . Just now going to bed lol
I appreciate this honest review. Sure there's a potential for things in this game, but haven't most games are imperfect? There will be updates in future for sure. And I'm supporting this game fun and cool game.
@@DajuSar this. I still dont understand wtf is with people nowadays. Why the f*ck are they still supporting lame releases with the promise of "DLC/HOTFIXES/CONTENT" when they are pricing them at 70 - 90 bucks????
Rather get games that don't have barran wasteland as an open world. Even fallout has more interesting world, than forspoken. Plus protagonist is annoying, I seen robots have more sympathetic personality than her.
People in the past few years are hating on anything that isn’t immediately going to be game of the year and I don’t really understand it. 5 years ago this would not have gotten the amount of hate it has now. I totally get the criticism as I’ve played through a good portion of the game, but overall I’m having a lot of fun with it. I would say it’s not something to buy immediately but once it’s on sale I’d def pick it up.
I’m very happy I came across this video, I myself have just finished the main story after 21hrs and have to say I’m very pleased. Ending even shed me a few tears. Granted the game has its issues it didn’t deserve the hate it got because they couldn’t be bothered to give it a proper chance. If you look at most videos covering this game it’s only the negative stuff and negative outlooks - we should always accept regardless of the quality of the game if it makes people happy and it’s actually playable who cares, play something else move on and save some minutes of your life
How long does this game take to 100% if I'm gonna spend £65 on a game I want my moneys worth if its short il leave it, seen alot reviews saying not so great but I'd be willing to try cuz like the combat but not if it's a short game
7:10: Not just on the Playstation. That should be EVERY platform these days by default. And then the fools at Square Enix actually expect us to be happy with 30fps on a freaking 6700XT or a freaking 3070? And the performance on Playstation has already been reported to be godawful, even in performance mode where people have said that you STILL aren't getting a consistent and stable 60 anyway. I can't wait to see the performance reports on PC, especially since apparently Square was reluctant to give out PC codes, so I'm betting it's going to be awful on PC.
Great review. Most youtubers seem overly annoyed that the main character has the exact same personality as they do. It seems like a great tech demo for the UE5 engine and I bet many games in the future will use the groundwork laid by this one so they can focus on making the game fit together better.
Let me guess the ending. She was from that world all along, sent to this world by her parents as the world starts collapsing, that's why she felt out of place in this world. I mean, I can see it from a mile away if that's what you mean by a twist. It's a wait and see if my prediction was right, but.. yeah. I think that's how the story goes. I really have low expectation of the plot if the story narrator itself tells you who is evil or not and doesn't show you via clues from tidbits of the game.
That's not really the main twist but, yeah, that is a predictable part of the plot, it's very cliche. To be honest I actually saw the real "twist" coming because of the dialogue but somehow didn't predict the "you were from this world" trope. Kind of embarassing.
I got this as part of a buy 1 get 1 free deal at GameStop and it’s a pretty good game. The story is decent and gameplay is good as well. I’d say it’s worth playing but not at full retail price though.
Game was on sale and i wanted to give it a chance becsuse i did like the idea of it and i gotta say until you get ur fire powers the game is slow because your forced to fight at a distance but once you obtain it it got more fun. Chapter 11 was the most painful and i just didnt enjoy the final boss much but whatever I wish frey was a bit more likeable but whatever, I'll give it like 6 out of 10 once i got all my elemental powers i had more fun

Cyberpunk was my first and last game I preordered, but to be fair, I did enjoyed that game even on release.

I haven't been sold on the game since its reveal. Every time I saw the game, it felt like something was missing, but I couldn't put my hand on it.
Mmmmhh maybe it's "Quality"? 😂
Bro it sucks end of story

This was the best review yet really fair and honest
Just rent it
For me, the demo was awful. But I insisted on buying the game because the battle system looks awesome. And I very much enjoy playing it last night.
@Vicente Salas II you mean the manufactured chip. Yes, very moving to have the most cliché story imaginable

I totally agree
Horizon Forbidden West feels like a chore playing but it is fun in actual gameplay. I think allot of games are like this, especially single players.
Lol😂
I wish they combined the battle machanics from forspoken with kingdom hearts and final fantasy... everything. Lol

Thanks for the review yeah ill definitely pick this up during sale and not that many games coming out. I like the gameplay and the dialogue is alright but idk if I’m willing to risk $70 for it rn especially with hogwarts right around the corner.
The dialogue is HORRIBLE 😂

I will buy this game once on sale and when a particle reducer is made as a setting for sensitive eyes. Theres too much flashing going on for me atm
Would you say you could get 60 hours or more out of this game including the side content?
Spiderman is way more polished
Lol not even close to Spider-Man 😂
I'll wait on a Steam sale for this, but will be picking it up for sure.
A narrative mistake can be fixed with dlc which expands the world and protag matures as world grows but a gameplay and combat should be good and if Forspoken gets that right then it's fine.
But the narrative errors shouldn't have to be fixed with dlc
Completely missed the point, if your story needs additional DLC to have it make sense, then you failed the first time at writing a good story
@@the-annoyinator did u get what I meant by the comment?
I do kinda agree with u but again from my prev point , my original post was just a centrist feedback on the game
when the gamer community collectively decided that it was pile of thrash just from narration which created a hate train that every western gamer & reviewer jumped on and vomitted the same without thinking for themselves.
I like the style of the particle effects. But it has way too much of them. It often seems to obscure what is actually happening during battle.

Square Enix really needs a major shake up. They don't ever learn from their mistakes and can't write a good story to save themselves. Other than ff everything they develop is mid tier at best

That’s what art is for…
I tried the demo and was immediately put off by the disconnect of the voice actors. It felt like a game that wants to do everything, but nothing really good.
Thank you for your honest review, I look forward playing this game.

-a 41 year old man, who works too much, has other hobbies such as working on cars, has a social life and finds time for a few minutes a day for a game. (And concerts, opera, drinking with friends etc etc).
sh*t game is sh*t, nomatter what person you are. Quality is not subjective.
Omfg and you pre-ordered???? Wow nvm. There's no helping you
just say you only hear what you want to hear, tf is the point of looking at only positive reviews? so you can hear people agree with you? dumb af
@@johndodo2062 why are you so mad that he likes the game lol
@@Miniowns lol ikr I can’t imagine putting time and energy getting upset over people that like stuff I don’t
Congrats reaching 400k. Continue the good work.
Thank you very much!😊
How long is the story? I saw that in the sys req its 150 GB it must be pretty big at least 50 hrs of story.
Dude said it took him 20-25 hrs.
A mostly objective review how refreshing. Many thanks
So much better than what ign could come up with, which was basically a rant of a player/reviewer forced to play, pretending to be a review.
People who hate Faye just never met an American foster kid before. I praise the realism on that front
Just found you channel. Very nice thank you! Subd!
@@Vezgodwell I’ll probably play this game and finish it before legacy hogwarts come out and then play that game
$19.99 best price range. 👌
More like 5.99😄
This is the first and only review that gave this game a slight chance
I hate the controls on ps5, so i decided to buy it on pc. But PC requirements are such a let down.
Great review thank you! Excited to play soon.
Hard pass for me. Thanks for the review
I appreciate this honest review. Sure there's a potential for things in this game, but haven't most games are imperfect? There will be updates in future for sure. And I'm supporting this game fun and cool game.
Yeah why expect to have good games when they could sell us the hot fixes and patches in a totally NEW EXPANSION WIIII!!! HOORAY
This review was way better then the ones I've seen. And I managed to care enough to watch the entire vid.
look to generic for me, I pass, tnx for the review, waiting for Dead Space remake and Hogwarts Legacy ^^
Finally a review from someone who actually played the game great informative review definitely buying the game
If you look at most videos covering this game it’s only the negative stuff and negative outlooks - we should always accept regardless of the quality of the game if it makes people happy and it’s actually playable who cares, play something else move on and save some minutes of your life
Sound fun if its on sale or ps plus extra or something like that it does not sound 79'99 kinda fun tho.
If you see this comment (or anyone else)- can you clarify what you mean "You'd give Forspoken a second chance"?
It doesn't look terrible, but I don't feel like I have to play it either.
Yea it's good looking and the gameplay looks good to. But I'm not dieing to play the game. But I'll get asap.
How long does this game take to 100% if I'm gonna spend £65 on a game I want my moneys worth if its short il leave it, seen alot reviews saying not so great but I'd be willing to try cuz like the combat but not if it's a short game
15 hrs
its still not out yet?
This is the first positive review I have seen I have watched properly ten and nine were negative
Thanks for the honest review! Just gained a sub
I don't understand when people critique games they always say it's repetitive of course it is. 99% of games are
Great review.
Idk why you asking me?
That's not really the main twist but, yeah, that is a predictable part of the plot, it's very cliche. To be honest I actually saw the real "twist" coming because of the dialogue but somehow didn't predict the "you were from this world" trope. Kind of embarassing.
I got this as part of a buy 1 get 1 free deal at GameStop and it’s a pretty good game. The story is decent and gameplay is good as well. I’d say it’s worth playing but not at full retail price though.
Same here I got forspoken & Gungrave gore
Finally honest review, I'd wait for a discount. Love the premises of the title though.
How is everyone been playing it for a week or weeks? it came out last night ffs
Game was on sale and i wanted to give it a chance becsuse i did like the idea of it and i gotta say until you get ur fire powers the game is slow because your forced to fight at a distance but once you obtain it it got more fun. Chapter 11 was the most painful and i just didnt enjoy the final boss much but whatever
I wish frey was a bit more likeable but whatever, I'll give it like 6 out of 10 once i got all my elemental powers i had more fun
