Shame the audio in this talk is so much worse than in other Steam Dev Days videos. Sounds like it was recorded by holding a microphone to the speakers instead of directly recording the microphone Na'Tosha is wearing. It's still an interesting talk though.
Na'Tosha Bard well as a Linux gamer I'm glad the video went up. It's good to see a Linux themed talk in an otherwise heavily VR themed conference, a topic I'm not really interested in. By the way, not to nitpick but NTFS is actually case sensitive. It's just that the win32/wow64 subsystem isn't, so as a user you'll only ever use it in a case preserving manner. This is something you'll find out when trying to run an NFS server from windows that accesses the filesystem directly... And yes I realize that detail isn't relevant to you talk ;-)
@3GenGames updates breaking package managers is an apt-get problem, I've had so many issues with it just stopping working. In arch the problem you have is updates breaking the programs you use
so awesome to see this! i did the linux testing for Tumbleweed Express (store.steampowered.com/app/372350/) with builds from forum.unity3d.com/threads/unity-on-linux-release-notes-and-known-issues.350256/ and am so much happier not having to boot into another OS to build things with Unity.
Seems like your own colleague's RenderDoc is slowly making its way into Linux. Remember him tweeting about it with someone else. It helps a lot so if it reaches a stable version , it will definitely make a difference.
So compatible with a 2012 (April) ubuntu version and even there are a lot of 2016 GNU/Linux ARCH users. F them. Why not make it also for XP even now is MS WOS 10 times?
Thanks for your support and efforts to get Unity working on Linux and the Unity Editor!
only valve can make an big impact on Linux gaming, I hope games devs start porting games for Linux.

Thanks for this talk, even if the audio is bad, I'm glad it's available. Congrats to Na'Tosha for her amazingly valuable work! Keep on being awesome!
